Oh, I meant like removal from my opponent, but actually RH is a good suggestion to keep my opponent slowed down.
Also I would try cutting down on your card filtering. I would cut Burning Inquiry and Faithless Looting in favor of more offensive options. Right now there's only 8 cards (Maybe 12 if you have a simic charm to pump birds) that are going to deal damage. Quirion Dryad is an offensive creature to play on turn two that's also a very good lightning rod for opponent's removal. With the remaining slots you could try some ways to get your creatures through, I suggest Aqueous Form/Rancor. Or if you miss the card filtering you could try something like Preordain/Serum Visions. Both filter cards and draw without the downside of discarding.

Aqueous Form is a great idea, love card filtering and evasion, although as for cutting faithless looting I don't really mind discarding, especially if it will net me more draws. cutting Burning Inquiry is a good though, since it gives my opponents options that could screw me over. Not to mention, Windfall is an excellent way to be sure that I will never be too far behind my opponent in card advantage.

Flame Wright made me really curious about an all walls deck so I tried it out. Not really sure if I'm happy with it yet.
Yeah I just use Retraction Helixes and Springleaf Drums to keep him tapped at all times but if you dont get those and your opponent had good blockers you are screwed
Thats where my second favorite ridiculous blue card comes into play. Completely locks down the game because your opponents will be too scared to cast big things
-snip-
I probably lost to my own chimeras more than I won with them but I love that card because of how bizarre it is. The only safe way to play it is stealing big damage spells and then bouncing it back to your hand
Yeah it is such a beautiful card, it works in such strange ways and it makes everything 10 times more interesting

not sure if i want it for my jor EDH.
on the one hand, it makes shitloads of artifact critter tokens for cheap (so they'll be 4/1 most of the time)
on the other hand, they can't swing, and the ping effect is tiny.
Maybe if they had reach or something. Sigh.
aw yea, first morph cards spoiled
It's funny, ages ago when they did the preview interview where they talked about what would be in khans they said
-One returning flavor thing that everyone has always wanted expanded on
-One returning mechanic that everyone wanted more of
I called orcs and morph respectively. I'm super pumped for khans.

Having problems dealing with white weenies and tribal combo decks, any help?
A coulple of Fiendslayer paladins + knight tribal boosters totally wreck my shit.

Board wipes in general will help, also pinpoint removal for killing his boost creatures.
If he's using enchantments to boost and you're red/black well gg.
Generally if you're playing red/black vs weenie you just have to be even faster than he is.

Great for stronger tokens, but since you aren't mono black,

this usually gets the job done
Obviously you can't really stop fiendslayer paladin, since white players will always sideboard him in against you. For that, you'll have to tempo them out.
he's easy to kill with board wipes and you can also trade creatures with him, here's a bunch of black/red creatures that either trade, or beat him:

Pretty much any black or red removal that's attached to enchantments or creatures will kill him, anything 2/3 or greater will kill him, first strike lets you trade, not to mention you can use combat tricks (even better if he's pumping his dude with auras, use some red or black pump and get the aura and the creature)
it's a tough card to fight, but it doesn't even have pro red/black so combat tricks and indirect removal work fine, and honestly any red/black deck worth it's salt should have a few of those. He's good at dealing with stupid bullshit like my friend who runs monoblack with 16 2 drop instant removal spells, but with decent sideboarding or some decent synergy in your deck he's not a huge deal.
Fiendslayer has never been much a problem for me playing BG. Just run some devour flesh if you want quick removal, or play something bigger than him. You can also run some drown in sorrow for getting rid of him and the rest of his crew.
Honestly, if you think he's an issue, you'd best rethink the cards in your deck because black and red both have many ways of dealing with him in standard.
When Khans of Tarkir is released, will it have stuff like the MtG15 fat packs, deck builders kit, etc. or is it just booster packs? I'm confused, because this is the first expansion that is to be released since I've started playing Magic :v:

I don't think expansion packs have deck builder kits but it will still have fat packs, booster boxes and things like that

Well shit. They actually reprinted fetchlands

they're getting better and better with the trailers

Wow, they really have improved. Went from being just animated card art to almost full animation. Gj Wizards.
Also Mardu 4 lyfe
its still really weird when they transition from card art animation into actual cgi animation
This card is pretty great

Aside from Fetch-hype, I realllly dig the new Sarkhan. He'll definitely find a home of some sort in one of my post-rotation decks.
Had a friend invite me to play EDH with him. Remodeled my poison/infect deck to EDH format. Broke MTG because EDH is still 10 poison counters, 15 is you decide to house rule two-headed giant's poison counter rule into it. Why do 40 damage when I can just do 10 poison counters by turn 5?
because poison counters are boring
because poison counters are boring
I think they're hilarious. Friend has it coming anyway, he always plays some boring control/mill decks so I figured I'd give him a run for his money before it's even possible for him to establish proper control.
As of so far with the spoilers we've seen, what Khan will you guys draft?
I'm torn between Abzan and Jeskai...

I wanna do Mardu because I love the color combination, but Temur also looks really good.

merciless eviction is better
I'm going abzan because I love counters, and turning small creatures big. (plus I love the color combination as much as bant, but theres no one in abzan colors that works like rafiq :v: )
nevermind

guess im going temur (replaced with better pic)
I'm playing two headed giant tomorrow, looking forward to it. I'll be playing jeskai and he'll be going sultai.
How did pre-release turn out for you guys?
