EB, it's the local Gamestop here.
i really really miss EB games. the general atmosphere there was always so much lighter than gamestop. not to mention their stores were generally bigger. there was a shop in particular that was right next to a cafe across the bay from where i live. they had chairs so you could sit down and read guides and shit. i'm also pretty happy that there's a good chance this is coming on saturday. i could use a good game to get me through this week.
Oh thank God. I found a card saying to come pick it up at the post office and now I've got it. Had me worried there!
i was right. iw ont be able to sleep tonight. i've even had 6 beers. i dont know what to do. i just... all i can think about is getting the game tomorrow. i think i might go buy a hot dog and have another beer.. then try sleeping so i can play ALL day tomorrow. i feel like a little kid. im so excited. this is what life is all about.
i miss that feeling so... well at least generated naturally, that hasn't happened in almost decades
i miss that feeling so... well at least generated naturally, that hasn't happened in almost decades
i havent felt this way about a game in a long time. even as a huge mass effect fan, i did not feel like this for ME3. its just that since day 1, this game has to me seemed like the game i've been waiting so long for. it's like naughty dog snuck inside one of my dreams and stole this from me and then made it even better than what i've been wanting and waiting for.
cherish it while it lasts. seriously. eventually everyone gets disillusioned to that degree at some point.

[sp]Lol @ the upgraded hatchet.[/sp]
The PSN version is finally up to download.
Edit: Ninja'd.
I think theres a very VERY subtle reference to the walking dead game in the game... [sp]After you meet up with Bill and youre making your way through the town to look for car parts/reach the school, you cross over an RV into a Treehouse then into the back door of a house, the entire layout of the ground floor, the kitchen and back room/study looks like the house you meet Chlem in, I mean there's the treehouse and everything[/sp]
Well there's more to it than that. There is a lot of TWD influence in TLoU storywise.
Got really into it. In the abandoned flooded train station, too dark, not sure what to do.
I just saw a short stream of the game, I can tell storytelling and everything else justifies all those perfect scores, truly amazing, but the gameplay doesn't seem very good, maybe the streamer was just a bad player. Anyone that played the game yet can tell me something about it?

Got to love reversible box covers. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gZzTcEE.jpg[/t]
Just bought a ps3, off to get the game let's hope it doesn't disappoint!
I can tell you that you're completely wrong about the gameplay being bad! :v: Anything more specific you want to know about?
I just thought when a melee combat situation came up, it was a really big mess, that's all. The stealth and throwing bricks at people was real fun though.
Shit man, that intro. I got all teared up.
That ending. Holy shit snackin crackers.
Just got to winter. Oh no this looks bad
Is it okay if I turn off my PS3 when the pause menu says 'Autosaving' cause it's said that non stop for the last few hours. [editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Welp, no it wasn't safe. Apparently this is a wide spread bug, just lost 4 hours of progress. My friend did the same. Now we can't play it till a patch comes so we don't lose progress again. Been waiting for this for months. Oh well.

Need to know what happens about that autosave, can you just pick the chapter? But will that interfere with any trophy progress by doing so? Need to know, need to know. Grabbing my copy in under an hour. I should start walking soon.
I wouldn't worry about it unless that bug happens to you. It uses a standard checkpoint and save system for the most part. You can pick a checkpoint so long as you've got that far previously in the main menu though which would have saved him and his friend from replying 4 hours.
Just had the bug happen to me. You can't pick the chapter you were on so you have to start over from a previous chapter.
Ah. Well, still saves you from replaying it all I guess. I know the chapters are long though.
Just a couple things. spoilers yup (inc endgame) [sp]Playing as Ellie was pretty sweet, that chapter was easily one of my favorites, her stab animations were really satisfying too. Was so engrossed with the game I never hesitated to shoot the 3 doctors around Ellie, much like how Joel pretty much was on a single mission to get to her without anything getting in his way. also get on the fucking pallet[/sp] for those that have finished it [sp] So about the ending. I'm satisfied with it personally. Nothing left me with questions as it was fairly straightforward. Not really sure why people were calling it a twist ending when I was looking around some forums[/sp]what did anyone else think of it?.

In the end Joel got attached to her, he saw her like a daughter. That brought him to sacrifice the only way to create a vaccine because he didn't want to lose her too. I believe he did the right thing: there weren't many chances that the vaccine would've worked. If it didn't, Ellie'd have died for nothing. Joel did the right thing, by the wrong means, that is. He could've manufactured his lie better than he did. The problem is with Ellie, 'cause she did that not to save humanity but to die. I fear she understood that Joel lied in her last "Okay". Her face wasn't exactly convinced.[/sp]
