Got my copy, time to not look at this thread until I finish it :v: Also it doesn't even come with a manual, what? I haven't gotten a retail game in ages, but I didn't think they stopped making manuals...
The Standard Edition, as far as I can tell, comes with an online pass card and a set of two Naughty Dog stickers which, to be fair, are quite nice

Yeah, when you put the disc in the console there's an added bubble underneath the game in XMB that says "Manual (Digital)"
Just picked it up. Also bought the season pass since I figured I would probably buy it at some point anyway.
The MP in this game isn't half bad.
jesus fucking christ the opening sequence
Just played a full 3-4 hours on hard (listen mode off) from [sp]Safehouse[/sp] up until [sp]Whatever the name of the level you meet guy and his little brother is[/sp]... Only to find that I had the auto-save glitch, resulting in me being back to the third checkpoint of [sp]Safehouse[/sp]. I can feel the tears coming.
Thankfully I only lost about 30 mins of gameplay right at the beginning, then I read that signing out will fix it and I've been playing it ever since without problems. Taking a break at the minute, will return and install the new patch later. I really love the game so far, the guns have a real good feel to them, in uncharted they kinda felt like peashooters.
Well i got a good 4-5 hours in and with this im about to lose ALL my progress. This bug is fucking bad, Major turn-off from the game.
I sold my PS3 a couple months ago so I just ended up watching a gameplay walkthrough. I'm not even playing and the intro made me ;(
I'm like 8-9 hours in, if not even more. And I can't turn it off, because of this glitch. This means I have to complete it in a single run.. Fuck it, let's do this.
Whoop, got the game. Time to spend my whole night playing it.
i'm literally thinking of buying the ps3 just for this.. i need something to play this summer. anyone know where you could find a ps3 for a cheap price? i'm guessing my best bet is to just look around on ebay

Naughty Dog, I fucking love you.
If you do end up buying it, look into the Uncharted games as well.
And the Infamous titles, and Little Big Planet 2. LBP2 is just immature fun, great playing it with friends. [editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Also, just found out you can't do new game+ on a difficulty higher than the one you finished first playthrough on. Luckily I was only 20 minutes into the game after my progress was lost, so I can just restart on hard.
The production quality on this game is amazing. Naughty Dog poured every bit of heart and soul they had into TLOU and it shows.
What is listen mode even? I have it turned off, but don't know what it is. I love this game so far, just taking a quick break to maybe eat something.
I just want a prequel set around the lead up to the infection and just after it starts. To see how everyone changes to cope with the infection. Still waiting on Uncharted Karting, so it will follow the Naughty Dog code. Then we can expect TLoU 2, 3 and Karting. This game is fucking gorgeous. and oh my god the intro.
If you do end up buying it, look into the Uncharted games as well.
I'm probably starting to get a little off-topic here, but how's Killzone? Would you recommend that?
Great game, little disappointed by the Multiplayer though. I expected more than just running around shooting dudes from "Gaming's Citizen Kane". Still solid multiplayer though, totally dig the Facebook friend thing.
Well I saw this shit coming a mile away [sp]Joel dying and then you play as Ellie, didn't make it any less sad though. I felt like Naughty Dog did us a favor by not tugging our heart strings anymore than they needed to[/sp] [sp]Nevermind, I suppose she needs the medicine for him? False alarm[/sp] [sp]Yep he's alive, just incredibly sick[/sp]
I'm probably starting to get a little off-topic here, but how's Killzone? Would you recommend that?
Never played it. I'm not big on console FPS games.
Anybody got saves for the game? I really dont want to have to start at the beginning of the game.
Just got to winter. Oh no this looks bad
Yeah, I just got to Winter. Fuck it.
I really want this game. But I don't have a PS3.
Welp I just played 11 hours straight and apparently the game never got out of autosaving, there goes 7 hours of progress down the drain.
I'm probably starting to get a little off-topic here, but how's Killzone? Would you recommend that?
killzone probably has the best story/is the prettiest shooter that consoles offer right now. the aesthetic is nothing short of perfect it's really dull though.
