For me it was when [sp]you're in the hotel and the elevator crashes and you end up in that flooded basement
the second i turned the generator on, I shit my pants and just ran for the keycard door
also the part where you played as Ellie was my favorite, the showdown with David in the restaurant was fucking fantastic[/sp]
I really, really think this deserved all the reviews it had. I can't say I've enjoyed a game this much in a long, long time. GOTY for me, easily.
I have about 8.5 hours on my save, and I just got past the part with [sp]Joel's brother, when he lets me take the horse with Ellie[/sp].

I'm really digging the multiplayer. It often turns into the ultimate game of cat and mouse.
So I've got a glitch going on.
Halfway through Pittsburgh, when you hit the area full of water and you have to get the pallet raft over to Ellie, nothing happens. She doesn't point it out, there's no dialogue, and I can't get her to jump onto it; leaving me stuck
Hehehe. I just stealthed through a part that was supposed to be a forced combat section. I managed to kill all the guys in the area, when the last guy died their reinforcements arrived, but I didn't alert them so they all stood where they spawned. I managed to sneak around and choke/arrow all 8 of them without being noticed.
It feels so good to have killed 10+ guys and only lost 2 arrows.
jesus ... that bit after [sp] the elevator you're standing on falls, and you're all alone. (bit where you have to start the generator and a load of infected and a bloater spawn) [/sp]
that was really tense, it's then that i realised how good this game really is.

[sp]I'm in the elevator shaft after Ellie made it fall. Just found a generator and turned it on and suddenly INFECTED EVERYWHERE and a Bloater is here. I've used two fire bombs and a assload of shotgun shells but it just charges up to me and peels my face away like a wrapper

I just learned that the whole "Knock down a guy, point your weapon at him, and make him go 'no no no no!' " that was in the E3 2012 Demo is still do-able in this game, you just have to aim at them after you've stunned them via melee.
It even locks on to their head for added fun.

i don't really know how i did it, other than using 3 of those mines. had to replay it a few times though. i'm on hard btw

[sp]I JUST completed that part, the second I saw there was a bloater I just legged it to the exit. Use your shotgun (You should have a lot of ammo by this point) to take out runners in your way.
I made it to the door and only lost a little bit of health. If you're in the keycard scanning animation, the bloater's bomb things won't knock you over.[/sp]

[sp]Bloaters have armour plating. You need to shoot them in the head if you don't want to piss away your supplies. Or just run, I recommend running.[/sp]
I just finished the game. It was so amazing. Definatly going up there with my all time favourites like Metal gear series, Mass Effect series, Uncharted etc. Naughtydog really outdid themselves.
This is probably my last console game purchase for a long time and boy, what a great game to end on.
I think it took me just under 13 hours to complete. Probably would've been an hour or two longer but I was caught by the autosave glitch so I lost about 2 hours of progress which was a lot quicker to playthrough again the second time around.
Definatly going to be one of those games I'll come back to in a while or so and want to play again. See if I can find things I missed the first time around. So glad I bought this!

[sp] Run to the security room and grab the swipe card, then run for your fucking life to the exit, as soon as the generator switched on I knew what was coming so I fucking legged it before the majority spotted me, so I could go hide in the security room and think for a moment [/sp]

Take out the friend. Make sure to watch their patrols before you take action and take out all the lone patrols first, by the time you need to throw anything most of them will already be dead.
This game is A++, like holy shiiiiiit.

[sp]most intense moment imo, is when Ellie is fighting that David dude or whatever, the crazy butcher mayor in the snow, like holy shit, that was intense tho. just every sequence when you play as Ellie is intense cuz seeing in the past how children are treated in games, I always felt invincible whenever I get the chance to play as one but not this time when I see her get fucking stabbed through the fucking chest omfg.[/sp] I played the whole game in one sitting, kinda rambling a bit, and I haven't slept for more than 24 hours. It was well worth it.
sigh. takes 5 minutes to load the fucking game and then it freezes within 30 seconds. really?
Looked through multiple stores to try to find a physical copy, no luck. Turns out every place that sold vidya within 70 miles was out of stock. I held back my tears and purchased a digital copy. All my sads, man. Anyway...
