I'm stuck in downtown in that building, there's one clicker and infected. Problem is I bug out when I strangle someone, the body freezes then ragdoll goes flying.
Then when the clicker grabs me we both freeze and I die..
I really fucking hate the hotel basement part.
jesus christ! the multiplayer is fucking top tier aswell!
wow
a true 10/10 game
It's pretty good, not sure how long it'll keep my attention but it's definatly a lot more interesting take on TDM with a bit of a metagame aswell with the whole camp thing going on that you need to scavenge for.
So far the only part I don't like is the parts where the game tries to be a game, like locking you in a room with infected charging and not letting you out until they're dead.
[sp]Fuck you Bill, pull me up don't make me fight all these fungus faced cunts.[/sp]
Also. the sequences which seem to be designed purely to drain your resources.
I really fucking hate the hotel basement part.
Is that the part with like 5 clickers?
Okay I'm in a bit of jam here.
[sp]How the fuck do you get past the shitload of Infected in the Salt Lake City tunnel on the way to the hospital? I tried throwing bottles to distract all the fuckers but one of somehow spots me and then the bloater squad corners me with its Clicker friends.[/sp]
[sp]I used a few nail bombs to take out the clickers and runners, ran up to both bloaters and used the flamethrower.[/sp]
Regarding that part, it was so intense I had to take a break.
Is that the part with like 5 clickers?
Dont forget [sp]the bloater[/sp]
Kind of lost now that I've finished it, no other games are interesting currently and it's too soon to do a new game plus :(
I miss Ellie watching my back and throwing bricks in people's faces!
Oh my god that was... fantastic... like A++
The game had a perfect mix of combat and horror, the story was wonderful and everything was just A++.
Naughty Dog I love you so much.
But the hotel basement can go fuck itself.
God damn the death animations are fucking brutal in this. I just got my neck snapped by a hunter.
The fucking bloater death animation is horrifying
Is that the part with like 5 clickers?
The one with the generator and the bloater
Is that the part with like 5 clickers?
Those aren't Clickers, those are stalkers.
Those aren't Clickers, those are stalkers.
..Stalkers?
Don't you mean runners?
Friend just posted 'Endure and Survive' on my facebook page
and now i'm going to play the game all over again
Guess I'm the only one who doesn't think this game deserves its near perfect scores. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game by any means. Its environments feel authentic, crumbling apart and containing the haunting relics of the people who once lived there, and Naughty Dog has done an excellent job at portraying the state of humanity in a post-apocalypse, but other than that everything else just feels..underdeveloped.
The game started off well enough, introducing new powerful enemies and weapons to craft as well as environmental obstacles like Bill's traps, but by the third act it seems like the devs just gave up. I was frustrated by how often most levels were just beaten by playing ring-around-the-rosie with the AI going in a circle around the area's rooms or houses. The storyline also took all the post-apocalyptic cliches in the book. [sp](sacrificing oneself because of infection, military versus underdog force, the struggle with killing a dying loved one, a paranoid loner owning a town and setting up traps everywhere, etc.)[/sp] Thankfully ND presented these cliches in believable ways that made them tolerable. [sp](Henry and Sam dying was one of my favorite moments in the game since it did a great job at portraying the fragility of life in the world after the outbreak - one night they're enjoying supper together and the next morning they're dead)[/sp] Unfortunately it still feels like ground I've trodden over countless times before. What I liked about the story was that it was ultimately a tale of what depths a man would go to to protect his daughter, but at the end I [sp]hated Joel for lying to her.[/sp]
I loved the character development of Joel and Ellie but I feel that ND could've done so much more with the game.
It's impossible to find a store selling a copy of the game that isn't 40 miles away, guess I'll just need to wait for amazon to ship it to me.

Looks really fun, though
..Stalkers?
Don't you mean runners?
Stalkers are the phase between runners and clickers. They're starting to get the growths on their face and they also click but they're just as agile as the runners but they don't beeline at you and will usually flank you.
Stalkers have no eyesight just like clickers I think. They like to hide and ambush you rather than run straight at you. I remember that I had trouble with them when [sp]you're alone with Sam.[/sp]
There are four (five?) stages of Infection.
Runner's are freshly turned and still have their eyesight, however it is very poor.
Stalkers have been exposed for an extended period of time and have begun to transition into the Clicker stage. Stalkers typically run around and to get in your path and ambush you, usually without making a sound until they attack.
Clickers are Clickers
Bloaters are Bloaters
There is a stage 5... I think. The spore cavader, otherwise known as the dead body that is covered in fungi.
I played about 8 hours of The Last of Us, I can't get myself away from it, I finally had to stop playing it so my dad could get some gameplay in, :V
Despite having to start the game from the beginning again after being in mid-game, i really enjoyed it and even got something else that i didn't discover from my first run.
And suprisingly the multiplayer is actually good and funny to play.

Yeah stage 5 is basically when the infected find a dark corner to lay down and die so the fungus can sprout out and spread its spores.
Also, I find the runners far more creepy than the clickers. Why? Because the human part of them is still completely aware on what they're doing but they can't control it. All of that screaming is unsettling.
Does anyone know why I get random glitches when strangling where the model freezes entirely, then ragdolls after death?
[sp]I JUST completed that part, the second I saw there was a bloater I just legged it to the exit. Use your shotgun (You should have a lot of ammo by this point) to take out runners in your way.
I made it to the door and only lost a little bit of health. If you're in the keycard scanning animation, the bloater's bomb things won't knock you over.[/sp]
I love how you didn't seem to have a problem with that bit because you had supplies, when that bit was possibly the hardest bit in the game for me because I had nothing, including health to spare :v:
Every time I pulled the damn generator I'd be grabbed by one of the fast buggers and instantly bit to death, then when I got past that there was still the bloater patrolling the door.
Protip: When in doubt, sneak past the enemies. It almost always works unless there are special circumstances, or you are fighting "wave attacks".

At that point in the game the enemies know where you are to start with, and it's pretty hard to lose them.
At that point in the game the enemies know where you are to start with, and it's pretty hard to lose them.
I should rephrase then. Whenever you are unnoticed initially, or encountering the infected, always attempt to avoid them. Even when engaging enemies that are already searching for you try to use stealth first until you are forced to face them head up.
Well.. just about to go into the hotel.
After all of the horror stories you guys seem to be telling, I think I will hold off until tomorrow for it. I don't think I can handle that much stress tonight.
Need help again. I'm apparently bad at video games.
At the Campus in Fall
[sp]I just fell into spore town and my tv brightness is making it hard to see shit (unless that's the point). I seem to pull one of the hundred clickers attention to myself and I flame them all down, but by then a Bloater just seems to appear say FUCK YOUR FLAME THROWER and rip my head in two. Why did they have to be such fucking bullet sponges (or uh, fire sponges in this case)[/sp]
