[QUOTE=Sift;41053534]Need help again. I'm apparently bad at video games. [sp]At the Campus in Fall[/sp] [sp]I just fell into spore town and my tv brightness is making it hard to see shit (unless that's the point). I seem to pull one of the hundred clickers attention to myself and I flame them all down, but by then a Bloater just seems to appear say FUCK YOUR FLAME THROWER and rip my head in two. Why did they have to be such fucking bullet sponges (or uh, fire sponges in this case)[/sp][/QUOTE] I did almost the exact same thing and it worked out well enough. Though I may have stealth killed a few of them before doing so. Also yes, the darkness and difficulty to see is the point. :v: Using the listening thing works great in areas like these.
My game is bugged in the "Downtown" bit. I kill all the infected and the clicker, the two girls jump down but nobody says anything, no voices, etc. Then when I pull the heavy thing from the door, both girls move up and down with no walking animation as if a kid is playing with it's toys. Then she just stands there shining a light...
I saw the part with [sp]Tess dying[/sp] from a mile away and it still made me tear up. Also Bill is probably my favorite character so far :v: And in Bill's hideout [sp]when he told Ellie not to take anything, and later they were in the truck and she pulled out stuff she stole, I fucking laughed because I said to the people watching me play, "Just watch. Later in the game she's going to show Joel stuff she snagged when Bill wasn't looking."[/sp] The multi-player in this game is pretty incredible, even if it can be a bit...obnoxious at times. I keep getting grouped with angry screaming Latinos, and I can't just individually mute them so they're screaming over their microphones all game :v:
[QUOTE=DBFT;41051474]I really fucking hate the hotel basement part.[/QUOTE] I just got to that part a little while ago. My plan was to grab the [sp]security keycard before attempting to start the generator. As soon as I got the generator working, I fucking ran up that debris ramp thing, killed 2 stalkers that were in my way, then used the keycard on the door as fast as possible. Didn't even have to deal with the clickers or bloater back in the basement, by the time they were on the ramp I was already at the door.[/sp] Just past the part in the courtyard with the sniper rifle right now. I never thought I'd be happier by not finishing a game; I can tell, I'm gonna miss playing it for the first time around when I finish it.
Anyone tell us how muhch space this takes up? I'm off to get it very soon and want to make sure I've got enough space for it
anyone enjoy throwing bricks and bottles at clickers from afar? there's something about it that's just hilarious. [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] also it's really awesome how they portrayed these zombies... it really makes you think about what exactly is happening. the whole fungus zombie is an underused thing. personally i think it's the most fucked up way to get infected
Beat the game yesterday.. [sp]GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY fag GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY GOTY[/sp] And the multi is fucking good too, especially when everyone has mics. I still hope Naughty Dog adds some sorts of co-op modes though.... sooo much potential with how everything works and the setting of the game. AND THEY GAVE US STICKERS TOO, YESS
also best video game intro evaarrr...
Does anyone else play this using a headset? I have the Sony Wireless Virtual 7.1 headset, and not too sure on what settings to have it on. I have Linear PCM 7.1 enabled, just don't know what the best Dynamic Range to have is. [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=Doozle;41054591]Anyone tell us how muhch space this takes up? I'm off to get it very soon and want to make sure I've got enough space for it[/QUOTE] According to the back of the box, 50mb.
Might just get this TODAY seeing as it's way cheaper on the PSN Store than in a retail store.
Can enemies see the light from your flashlight? I know clickers can't, but what about Soldiers/Runners/Etc?
[QUOTE=Sommoch;41055348]Can enemies see the light from your flashlight? I know clickers can't, but what about Soldiers/Runners/Etc?[/QUOTE] Soldiers/hunters can see it, runners/stalkers don't care, and clickers can't see. Sneaking from regular humans, lights off. Sneaking from infected, lights on.
Trying to find Binding for a Shiv so I can open a door, found 5 blades, no bindings and enough material for 2 medkits. [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] 'Are you sure that gates gonna hold em?' 'Well I locked it, and they don't have a key.' Ha. Also found an artifact with a safe combination, but never found the safe. Couldn't find it anywhere.
I think if they did a Last of Us 2 (they've set it up pretty well) it wouldn't be crazy to imagine coop campaign. Ellie spoiler [sp]she's become proficient enough to have a player take over her, so it wouldn't be insane to add coop[/sp] It'd be quite awesome to plan out attacks with a friend :)

Am I the only one who didnt like the addition of the flamethrower and El Diablo? They just seemed so out of place compared to the rest of the gritty realism in the game. Also favourite part of the game was easily the [sp]part where you play as Ellie[/sp]
Who else noticed the voice actors from Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim?
'Why are these all stuck together?' My sides.
I wish there were more weapons in multiplayer, also gamemodes.

I think I'll try the basement apart again. I had to stop playing because the tension was really getting on my nerves and whenever I would start pulling the generator cord, stalkers would come out one at a time. Not to mention when I did get the generator going, I had the keycard and when I was running past the bloater, a stalker pinned me to the wall and then the bloater re-arranged my skull pieces.
I didn't even play it, as I don't have a ps3, but I did just finish watching the walkthrough [sp]It was amazing. The ending was perfect. I think it's obvious she doesn't believe Joel. She just wanted to hear from him that they did the right thing. Shows how much they've bonded, given his word is all she needs to keep going, and to overcome the inner conflicts she's going through now (or at least look past them). A perfect dad/daughter relationship. The whole story ties together perfectly, from start to finish. i'm sad it's over[/sp] [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] and the soundtrack is superb
I just unlocked the poet fedora in mp and I'm not sure if it makes me look like a douchebag or a 1920s gangster.
I found upgrades quite difficult to choose. There are so many choices, but you can only take 2 or 3 of them at once. Or maybe I didn't loot enough?
guys, am i visible on the enemy's radar when just walking? [editline]16th June 2013[/editline] in multiplayer

[editline]16th June 2013[/editline] in multiplayer[/QUOTE] Nope, unless someone tags you, then you become visible on the radar for a little while.
For some reason I just can't play the game on hard, I always die or alert the fucking zombies even though I'm keeping stealthy, and the way they place them makes it impossible to sneak. I practically threw my controller across the room after dying around twenty something times, but normal is too easy. I'm close to giving up and putting it on normal or easy or something. It's bullshit that you lose health while struggling with a zombie even though you aren't being bitten or anything, and you can't resist the clickers.
