I'm kind of disappointed they removed some of the smaller features like crouch sprinting or instead of finding ammo boxes, you just emptied the ammo in weapons dropped by enemies. And did anyone else have trouble finding tape after crossing the bridge? For the rest of the game tape was a fucking valuable resource, I remember because I was all scavenging looking in particular for it.
For me, tape was a surplus, I just had trouble with alcohol.
For me, tape was a surplus, I just had trouble with alcohol.
I was playing Hard and had medkits and molotovs to burn I had an influx alcohol and rags.
Also, I have a pit in my gut yelling out to me that [sp]Ellie knows deep down inside that Joel lied to her about all of those other "immune" people.[/sp]
[sp]She suddenly woke up in her operating dress in his car and he suddenly brings her the convenient news that there's tons like her out there and the Fireflies have stopped looking for a cure. I think she can count 2 and 2 together. I think she just wanted to confirm that he really wants to live that lie and shoulder the responsibility. And, on a brighter note, that she literally means the world to him.[/sp]
I think one of the most immersion breaking moments was the transition between seasons, including the complete lack of context and actual gameplay (seriously, some DLC here would be sweet, some cool shit could of happened between Colorado and Seattle). What really threw me out of the experience was how my equipment was exactly the fucking same. I left the Winter area with nothing but a few rounds for the 9mm, two shotgun rounds and a El Diablo round, alongside no full supplies and a near-broken Machete. But then, a season later in Seattle, Joel had the exact same shit as he did [sp]after saving Ellie from the Lakeside Resort town.[/sp] I understand they don't want to go change your equipment around, but my suspension of disbelief was gone when I was rather expected to believe the journey went without a hitch or they just happened to end up with the exact same equipment.
A bit into Spring. Jesus it just goes from bad to worse in no seconds flat doesn't it. [sp]fuck these people i'm busting out with muh ellie[/sp]
[sp]Ellie knows deep down inside that Joel lied to her about all of those other "immune" people.[/sp]
[sp]Technically the other immune people part wasn't a lie, if you found some of the journals and voice recordings in the hospital there are mentions that they've had other immune people in the past, all which met the same fate trying to find a cure[/sp]
Classy as fuck. I had nearly 85 survivors and was doing the Firefly Attack challenge where you lose some percentage of your population. I was at day 3/3 and was few kills away from the -10% price. WELL, I play a while and then, BOOM, lost connection. And now I have 42 survivors where half are sick and the other half is hungry. My luck.
Aaaand finished the game. 9/10, not a tenner as some would say. Nothing is perfect, including this game, there were things that irked me from time to time. Still a really good solid experience

[editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] If that's the case you had the wrong tab open, mate.
I haven't played either game yet, but I think you're talking about State of Decay and not The Last of Us.
No there is a multiplayer thing where you have a survivor camp and shit.
This is the first give an actual 10/10, obviously has errors and theres always stuff you can improve on.
No there is a multiplayer thing where you have a survivor camp and shit.
Ah, well, my bad then. Guess that makes me even more excited than before about getting the game.
Fireflies are dicks Tommy's place is the best.

No game will ever be perfect, you know.
So when I got to the bit with [sp]the giraffes, I sat there for ages watching them and listening to the music feeling super emotional. When my friend reached the same point however he immediately raised his gun and tried to shoot them. There are two kinds of people.[/sp] Also who else noticed that in the intro sequence [sp]Joel's daughter had a stuffed giraffe toy?[/sp]

Two things, in every playthrough I've seen other people do, ammo drops like crazy, but rarely for me. And two, (early game spoilers) [Sp]I love how this game handles a battle with a huge Tyrant like monster better than any Resident Evil games within the last few years.[/sp]
Well, I'm currently [sp]in the bottom of the hotel, Joel put on his mask, and there are some weird clicker/runner hybrids down here. For some reason, they don't react to sound. I was standing completely still behind a door and suddenly one of them came running at me, but I took them all down nice and easy. Why don't they react to sound? I through bottles and bricks and they showed no signs of reacting.[/sp]

So you won't be punished for leaving a game when you didn't actually want to.
I didn't invent the scale, don't ask me.
Which is fair, but what a lot of people don't seem to understand about the 0-10 scale is that 10 does not actually mean the game/film is perfect. What it does mean is it's as close to perfect as the reviewer could imagine that particular title being. There's no point in having an upper limit to a review score if you can't use it.
Guys, how do I do the part on the street with the sniper? I have zero supplies and no medkits. If I go left I get swarmed by thugs, and die due to no ammo. If I go right I can take out the one guy in the house, but as soon as I leave I get peppered by the sniper.
[sp]For both hard and survivor playthroughs I used the left path, with some trial and error taking out all enemies there - and then I just RUSH through the fence, go around the house where sniper sits in to it's backdoor and just sneak to upper floor. edit: now I read you have no ammo, you actually can choke the only one bad guy in the first house (on the left path), he often drops ammo which should be enough for others.[/sp]
This game is probably the best singeplayer game I've ever played. No joke
Someone ripped the clan event images, they're pretty cool [t]http://i4.minus.com/iOnZM4wfuxmep.png[/t] [t]http://i4.minus.com/iboo37FuQx8c3Y.png[/t] [t]http://i7.minus.com/ibieVoVaCuVaXb.png[/t] http://lvemsg.minus.com/mbzYqNG04Wtx4V

Most of the houses are a waste of time, as they only really provide cover. Stick to either of the far right or left paths, and you'll only have to deal with the hunters. Then rush right through the fence. Whatever gun you're best with, or whichever one has the most ammo, go in with that and take out the sniper.[/sp] Also, I wish multiplayer had matchmaking of sorts. I don't enjoy being on a team full of level 0's put up against a team of level 10's-30's. The melee combat in MP needs to be improved, I think, since it's pretty unfair that after punching someone or giving them a good whack, they can immediately insta-kill you with their own melee weapon.
All I could think when I was walking into the [sp]human freezer in the cannibals' camp was "these people are gonna get bad cases of Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease or Kuru"[/sp] :v:
