I think I glitched to the point where I wasn't taking any damage. I started to just run around bashing infected with my fists.

It was fun.

Speaking of that, I find it funny how often the characters come into contact with blood and bodily fluids from the infected when they killed them. I'm surprised none of them gave in to infection during a brawl with a Runner or when Joel stealth shanks a Clicker from behind. Another example would be when [sp]Joel crawls through the window at Lincoln High School, a Clicker tries to kill him, but Bill blows its brains out and blood gets everywhere.[/sp]

Joel is immune, obviously.
Is the multiplayer any good?
In hunter city, they seem to mention chasing after this girl a lot, so maybe we'll see an expansion where we play as her? I'm willing to bet so since there's almost no other stuff we hear about her other than the hunters talking about her and the tourist manifest that mentions her.

I was thinking the same thing, I just couldn't remember the names. Do these people not know or do they not care?

You see her a little later on [sp]They kill her and Joel says "there was nothing we could do" to Ellie [/sp]

I'd hazard that the body is capable of fighting the infection, but something like a bite directly into the blood or breathing in a direct mouthful of spores gives it enough to take over.
If a single spore could infect you pretty sure everyone would be fucked, because usually when you come up on a cloud of spores you can see single spores drifting out a bit before you put on the mask.

You mean the little slip of paper with a code on it in your box? Yeah.
Wish this game was on PC

Mouse and keyboard are just far better
There are so many idiots online playing MP before SP... One guy even said he watched a LP instead of playing it himself.

I have to wonder what's the point in that. The Last of Us is predominately single-player experience and spending $60 on just the MP section seems like a tremendous waste.

This is why publishers usually require multiplayer, because the majority of people do not play a game for the singleplayer.

Depends on the audience *points at Elder Scrolls, Bioware RPGs, Dark Souls, and Bioshock*
Those games sold plenty.

They sold a lot, but still not enough to beat multiplayer focused games. Skyrim sold an estimated 10 million copies in a year. Black Ops 2 sold 7.5 million, on launch day alone.
Singleplayer only games are a huge risk in the industry. There is a reason that it is rare to find a AAA game without multiplayer.
Funny, because I don't have the slightest interest in The Last of Us' multiplayer. :v:
The Singleplayer in this game was amazing but the Multiplayer really sucks. (In my opinion of course)

I thought it over and came to the same conclusion, which makes the most sense. Also, on Ish, [sp]after going through his hideout again, I think there might have been about 15-30~ people living down there with him and Kyle. It's pretty fucked up how easily most of them met their end. Those poor kids...[/sp]

I thought it was a REALLY bad idea to strangle runners.
I don't know about you, but I don't really want my arm that close to their mouths

It's going under their chin so even if they try to move their head down, their bottom jaw would get caught up on the person's arm.

But with how the strangle animation is, it looks like a Runner could easily just claw at your face while struggling to break free. Also, for anyone wondering, there are some Uncharted and Jak & Daxter easter eggs in the game. I hope you guys find them.

I shot a dude like 5 times point blank with the shorty
He punched me twice and I was down

Yeah the multiplayer is anything but very good.
Get a 2x4 with a melee upgrade and you've pretty much won any encounter in a 1v1.

Sneak up on a guy he turns around just as you start punching him, he starts shooting, somehow you end up on the ground with him standing over you. Its annoying as fuck in MP when you get the drop on someone and start punching them but they just use a gun to kill yo.
The first time I ever tried multiplayer, my entire team was inexperienced and the enemy team was all like level 6-9, and so we did pretty crap, and then my connection was dropped halfway through the match
Is there any behind the scenes stuff as in recording mocap sessions or something?
After completing the game I checked around in the menus I only found concept art and whatnot.
Kinda sucks cuz they had that for Uncharted as I recall.

If you get the drop on people often by sneaking up on them use the skill that starts you with a shiv every time you respawn.
Also a good tip for playing with that skill is to throw a smoke bomb at a single guy, run up to him, shiv, and run away. No one ever expects it.

There is, but as of now you can only access it through buying the Season Pass, as far as I know.
