I don't see how they ever "ripped off her likeness" when they made plenty of changes to Ellie in order to make it not so. Page is either misinformed or just an idiot.
To play devil's advocate, part of being an actor/actress is your image and if it's being associated with something you didn't give permission for, that can be a problem. In this case though, I think she's just misinformed about it; I don't get any real maliciousness from what she said.
I'm pissed that Ellen Page said they ripped off her appearance.
Although the best thing is finding little interactions - stuff like [sp]when Ellie plays a short game of darts with Sam and they act like their age, momentarily completely oblivious to the world surrounding them[/sp]
Take some anger management classes if that's something that enrages you.

*ahem*. I'm slightly annoyed that Ellen Page claimed they ripped off her appearance. If I was angry, I'd use BIIIIG letters

Well, look at the way that information was presented to her:
This has almost certainly been made clear to you several times, but are you aware how much you look like Ellie from "The Last of Us," a video game which came out about a week ago. She even sounds like you. So much so that almost everyone assumed it was you playing the role.
Assuming she was unfamiliar with The Last of Us, that poster pretty much led her straight into the idea that Naughty Dog ripped off her likeness, even though they didn't, and she still managed a pretty flippant remark. Once again, I think this is certain parts of the gaming media and its community overreacting and, really, being a bit childish.

I was too busy making bombs :c
Still, it's possible for people to look similar. Isnt that why it is always said shortly, in the credits of movies, "Any resemblance to real or fictional characters is unintentional". "She even sounds like you" is a bad way to tell her that on Reddit though. People can sound the same, it just so happend they sound alike, I'm not ripping anyone off by sounding like them. I guess it's just the way she read the comment, and I pretty much only read the article on IGN.

IGN's article pissed me off :v:
They were trying to vilify Ellen Page for something that trivial, and it was just plain childish and shoddy journalism.
Is it bad that I don't see the similarities with Ellie and her voice to Ellen Page? I mean Ellen Page to me barely sounds like Ellie and especially after her redesign barely looks like her.

Some guy's buttmad as fuck because he thinks ND stole his subway map

Thinks? That is literally the exact same map.
Jeez that guy sounds whiny in that blog.
I understand that he should be paid for his work and all but he should have tried get in contact with ND without going public over the matter and making them seem like some kind of outlaw first. It's so easy to pick shit up from the web and have no idea where it came from.

Why the hell is there a tumblr dedicated to transit maps?
So where you can buy a The Last Of Us statue? The one that is included in the pandemic edition. Someone wrote they bought one.
Damn it all. I just finished on NG+. I want to play on Hard (or even Survivor), but I'm worried I'll get sick of the game if I play it too much.
Also, [sp]I thought those "hints" towards other immunes was just a lie that Joel told to Ellie.[/sp]

[sp]All this talk about protecting Ellie and I still didn't grow a huge emotional attachment to her, I felt that up until the end Joel was still doing it as a job and despised her.
Oh well :v[/sp]
I'm playing through the game on survivor now and I've noticed that it's basically impossible to completely run out of ammo. Whenever you're low on ammo enemies start to drop some and even Ellie occasionally throws you some. I didn't even see the latter one on my first playthrough (hard) since I never really ran out of ammo. It kinda takes away from the survival feeling when you realize that you practically have an unlimited supply of ammo.

Yeah, it does take away from that a bit. But it would be really annoying and unfair if you had nothing to defend yourself from a clicker and you HAD to kill it.

Maybe it's just you. I had to play through nearly the entire sewer section and all of the suburbs with no ammo, molotovs, or bombs. I had one pipe, but that soon ran out and I had to hide and wait to kill people with my fists till I got to the sniper.
Oh yeah, I just remembered I had no health kits either. I love this game, but that shit was infuriating. [sp]Not to mention that Henry blocked the sewer exit for 12 consecutive deaths. Fuck.[/sp]
was a good game
felt like a badass at the end
[editline]25th June 2013[/editline]
used molotovs and the flame thrower on everyone then i ran out and used the bricks(for beating them down) and grenades
So what exactly is the big difference between the various difficulty settings? I've played the game twice on Normal. Should I move up to Hard, or go straight for Survivor?

Survivor is straight-up crazy, especially if you disable everything in the "Game" section of the options menu. No listen mode, no melee/sneak prompts, enemies cause/take more damage, AI is smarter, supplies are substantially limited...it's a tough one.

Survivor by default has no listen mode or melee prompts.
[sp]When Joel finds Ellie after she runs away, his response makes me feel like he didn't give two fucks about her, then when they reach their destination on horseback with his brother he all the sudden has a change of heart. That part seemed weird to me..[/sp]

[sp]A theory I read to explain that was that Joel knew he was getting in too deep by becoming attached to Ellie, but it's been so long since he's had genuine human contact or allowed himself to soften that the only way he knows how to react is to lash out and, really, insult her. You can see in that scene when she's firing back at him that what she's saying hits hard and he won't admit it. After protecting her once more and having time to think on the horse ride to Tommy's, he finally gives in and does the right thing, trusting himself more than someone else for the first time in a while.[/sp]
Is it me, or does the bow suck out right in multiplayer compared to just using silenced weapons.
