[sp]So were there some recordings or something from the hospital that said they've used immune folk before? Because the Let's Play I watched was really bad in terms of finding collectibles and I just thought it was Joel lying because he cared more for Ellie than for the hope of a cure.[/sp]
[sp]There are collectables in the hospital where they talk about trying to find a cure before and having no success. They never outright say "we used other immune people" but it is heavily implied the other test subjects were infected and/or immune.[/sp]
Just finished the story, amazing.

[sp]Ah, alright. Seems a little like people are jumping the gun on there being other immune people, but I suppose it makes sense.[/sp]
Ok I just finished the game and all I can say is
I am not feeling well
woah

[SP]Do you support Joels decisions or do you think he's a prick?[/sp]
So, any of you FP people up for a few multiplayer sessions? My ID is Sonny2604, just add me and we could form a group in about an hour or so
Also, just thought about this, how does the MP really work? Do you always play in the clan you chose at the beginning, even in the eyes of others? Saw somebody switch teams inbetween rounds, does that happen because mabye the whole thing is just clientside? So your guys always are hunters/fireflies depending on your clan, ignoring what they chose themselves?
I'm lending my copy of TLOU to a friend, but I'd be up for trying the multiplayer (I've only played 1 match so far) sometime next week if anyone wants to add me. My PSN is Lex0Luther. Just include your FP username if it's different so I can keep track of who everyone is.

[sp]I am not sure, I might be a prick too, but I know that I would have done the same. For an entire year they were surviving together and helped each other and he should just give her like that? Even if they created the cure, how would they mass produce it and distribute it? Let's not forget there are gangs that are killing each other for food, weapons, territory and whatnot. Cure would be just added to the list.
Humanity is doomed, fuck them
It's also heavily implied that Fireflies have tried this surgery on previous people that were immune.[/sp]

I fully share this opinion.
Looking for people to play with online sometime. I have a mic. :v:
Add me up, I'm always up for MP whenever I'm on it.
This goes for anyone else too.
[sp]I keep reading about there being other immune people. I know it is mentioned in a surgeon's recorder, but at which part implies that there were other immunes? Was it mentioned in another recorder as well?[/sp]

[sp]wasn't there a lot of information on that one recording Joel skips through in the cutscene? You can listen to it fully afterwards from your inventory[/sp]

I didn't get to listen to it as I didn't even know it was in my inventory. Is there like a transcript of it somewhere?

[sp]He basically just says that he has lost hope himself because their last breakthrough was five years past.[/sp]
Add me if you want to play multiplayer: Coolfunbags. I haven't played yet so I'll be learning
I just finished the story today. [sp]the ending to me was both very happy and very sad. Joel doesn't lose Ellie, but Ellie seems to have lost her wish to die. The look on her face says she doesn't want to continue, but is now accepting her life as it is.[/sp]
[sp]On Joel's lie, I don't think it really makes joel a huge villian even if he has done bad things. It's a different world he lives in and the stigma for killing is not as great. His actions during the whole game was for the benefit of delivering Ellie. His eventual attachment to Ellie made him keep killing in order to keep Ellie by his side (she is all he has at this point). To Joel, Ellie is his best friend and is more important than damning humanity.[/sp]
i assumed multiplayer was going to blow but i checked online gameplay videos and it actually looks pretty cool. is it worth playing or should i just save the online pass for resale?

You should hold on to it. They're releasing multiplayer DLCs soon, so they can only add more gamemodes/maps.
I do hope they add some co-op mode in one of the multiplayer dlcs. The game's world lends itself to that pretty well.
the bow and arrow is more useful than you'd think. I use them for clickers when I don't want to sneak up to one and shank it with a shiv. Using a the bow is a great stealth weapon with range, plus you can re-use the arrows if you are accurate enough (although I'm not sure if it's random that you are able to recollect them, can someone verify this?)

I think you can use each arrow twice, unless you hit the wall or somethin. And the bow rules. It is especially good against bandits because it's a one-hit kill anywhere in the torso or head, if you sneak attack 'em.

Just remembered the scene [sp]at rancho, where Ellie said that without Joel she'd be even more scared[/sp]
If anyone would like to play some multiplay im on right now. Have mic.

a few things about the final level before the ending level. [sp]at the hospital, I felt the need to literally fuck everyone up with whatever guns/ammo I had which was a lot because I made sure to upgrade my clip capacity on all my guns. The first wave of enemies I completely destroyed with my shotgun to their fucking faces, as well as beating them to pulp with the pipe. The ones with machine guns were so hard to gun down, but I just had to with my hunting rifle/shrapnel bombs/picking up their machine guns. Just goes to show how motivated you can be when you get attached to characters.[/sp]
also concerning that same level [sp]when you pull out your gun to shoot the surgeon that threatens you, am I the only one who put the pistol away in order to equip my shotgun? for fucks sake, I didn't just kill everyone in the hospital for you to threaten me with a knife.[/sp]
Just picked this up yesterday, I've been really enjoying it so far. I recently got a PS3 about a week or so ago, so all these games have been a really refreshing change of pace from the 360's mostly shooter library.

[sp]Apparently you can take the knife from his hands and kill him with it, but I settled for shooting him in the sternum. Pchow![/sp]

this song hits the hardest for me, and it was placed perfectly in the game
[sp]when you go looking for Ellie after she stole the horse, and she is in that house which you end up fighting your way out. Before the fight Joel says to Ellie "You're right. You're not my daughter. And I sure as hell ain't your dad. And we are going our separate ways." then when you leave the house Joel gets on his horse, and looks back at Ellie with regret in his words (this is where the song kicks in) but Ellie just overlooks him. Such a turning point for both characters and a fitting song to go with it all.[/sp]

[sp]I already had my shotgun out, and when he threatened me I just shot him in the face. Splat.[/sp]

This game's soundtrack is goddamn amazing. Fits so well with the game's theme. Fuuuuck.

Play that first segment on Survivor. It isn't so enjoyable.
But yeah, it was a nice way to break up the gameplay and story a little bit. It helps with the attachment a lot, because every motherfucker I know came roaring out of that[sp]garage as not-so-deathly-ill-Joel[/sp]and slaughtered those Hunter guys to[sp]save Ellie[/sp].

I acutally [sp]stood still, watched him as I slowly pulled out that huge fucking revolver that sends enemies flying (El Diablo?), put two rounds in it and shot him in the face, then I slowly walked over to the other begging ones and bashed their skulls in with a pipe. No mercy.[/sp]

That one part is literally the only thing I really fear from survivor.
