What? Its limited to people who get the season pass, not preorders.
Oh, whoops.
If you haven't seen it yet: Watch it before it gets taken down.
That was fucking incredible. I'm so blown away. Makes me appreciate the game even more. I love Naughty Dog.

I'm impressed by the way they handled the motion cap and the dialogues at the same time in such an open way
That prologue scene must've been soul-destroying to act in.
I want to play more Last of Us, but I don't want to do it without my headset because of how good everything sounds. But it's been so hot here lately, that if I have the headset on for 10-15 minutes, my head feels like its melting.

I'm trying to get the extras from the Ellie preorder edition from Ebay right now, does anybody here own it? If so, whats up with the controller design? Is ist a sticker you put on top of it or what?

And it's just a sticker you lay over the top of your controller.

The soundtrack is fucking amazing, I listened to a few tracks on Youtube yesterday. That guy Gustavo is a genius
So i'm at my mum's house now back with my ps3, trying to set up the headset, I'm connected using HDMI, and the headset obviously comes with USB and the audio connector, red and white... though when I connect it to my tv, nothing? even after i've changed some of the options any advice guys?
So you activated the thing in the audio device settings and that one other option which I don't know the word for in English?
So you activated the thing in the audio device settings and that one other option which I don't know the word for in English?
Sorted it, I needed the AV connector, which goes from the back of your PS3 to the red and white cable from the headset..
Online for this is fucking horrid if you don't know the people you're playing with. FUCKING STICK TOGETHER
Online for this is fucking horrid if you don't know the people you're playing with. FUCKING STICK TOGETHER
There are cases where people try to stealth-attack the other team, those people I accept. I like to do it myself most of the time. But then again there are those who sprint around like idiots, alerting the whole enemy team and showing them where you all are because crouching or walking takes them too long. Those are way worse. [editline]7th July 2013[/editline] This song is so fucking amazing
Online for this is fucking horrid if you don't know the people you're playing with. FUCKING STICK TOGETHER
Adding and playing with Facepunchers has been a reliable method for me to play with a non-dumb team.
Been playing on the survival difficulty (I think that's what the hardest difficulty is called) and I just got to the part where [sp]Joel teaches Ellie how to use the hunting rifle[/sp] I have to say, so far this difficulty isn't too hard. The only difference is I have to wait a bit longer before attacking and use the bricks/glass bottles more often.

[sp]Man fuck those Stalkers.[/sp]
Finally got to play this last night, and I can see why it got good reviews. While I don't think it's anything outstanding or brilliant, it's a good solid game with a good story and fun gameplay. I like it a lot, it's nice and simple.
Wait till you get to the sewers, You will be begging for ammo. [sp]Man fuck those Stalkers.[/sp]
Ah shit. I completely forgot about that part, I had ot start it over several times on normal. dammit all :suicide:
Online for this is fucking horrid if you don't know the people you're playing with. FUCKING STICK TOGETHER
I never stick to my team. I always go sneak around to get the enemies with their pants down. Best one was when I killed 3 people enemies with a molotov and then shot the remaining one with a 9mm. Shit was awesome.
The only level where I do not try and flank is the college level. Just far to easy to get spotted. The only success I've had with it is when my team goes through the building with the classroom in it while I look down the hallway of the opposite building and let them try to flank my team. Everyone always assumes that if they aren't getting shot they haven't been spotted while I'm perfectly content to let them get right up my allies before putting them down.
Actually the university and lakeside are the best maps for stealth&melee players imo. When I play with my stealth class I can usually fuck up the entire enemy team anywhere on Lakeside and especially in one of the university corridors, using shivs, my machete and all sorts of explosives. It's all about patience I think. Gotta be extremly careful 'till that one perfect moment.
[sp]So apparently when you are playing as Ellie you can check her backpack and see the stuff she has on her. She even has a note from her mother when she was just a baby. She also has a Sony Walkman.[/sp]
I've never played this game before. Should I get it?
Yes. [editline]8th July 2013[/editline] Is it just me or does Marlene look like Zoe from Firefly?

Everyone always assumes that if they aren't getting shot they haven't been spotted while I'm perfectly content to let them get right up my allies before putting them down.
Every single multiplayer level is easy as shit to flank and stealth. Hardest one to me is the dam. Snowy map Start A (near docks): Rush to the truck and climb aboard. You'll see if they are going around the shops and snowmobiles. If you don't see anyone, they're going near the docks and you can snipe them from the truck, or you can just sneak through Start B and get right behind them. Start B (Inside the hotel): Rush to the same truck you did before and then use the hearing ability to see whether they are going to the docks or behind stores with the snowmobiles. If they split up, you have better chance if you kill the guys who go behind the shops. If they go to the docks, you can sneak around the back of the truck to flank them, or you can sneak through Start A and up the stairs right behind them. Checkpoint Start A (near the fire truck): Rush to the soda machine and pan the camera or use the hearing ability to see if they're going through the grocery store or if they're going through the building on the other side of the map. If they're in the room before the grocery store, it's easy to flank them by going through the checkpoint and then circling to their back. If they're going to the other building, go through the grocery store and go along the walls of Start B till you reach the windows of the other building. If they split up, your best bet is to deal with the guys at the grocery store first. Start B (Near the grocery store): This isn't much of a flank, more like an ambush. Rush inside the grocery store and duck behind the tipped refrigerator unit. Usually at least few people come to the grocery store and over the counter right away so you can either pop their kneecaps while they're coming towards you or you can push your luck and see if they notice you while going through to the other room. If by chance no one is coming through the grocery store, they're probably near the fire truck and you have a good view to their side from the grocery store window. You can also go through the back of the grocery store and through Start A to get behind them. High School Start A (In the room with the scaffolding): Rush to the window that leads the parking lot and go along the left side wall. Be sure to advance so that you're never seen from roof. Once you're near the ambulance, use the hearing ability to see if anyone came out to the parking lot. If someone did come out and if they're going along the school bus, you have a great chance to circle around them. Beware though that there could be someone on the roof. If no one comes out and they're still indoors or on the roof, go inside and find your way up to the roof. Start B: Rush to the busted wall that leads to the classroom on top of the stairs. Either climb up the wall and go behind a desk and wait for the enemy to come to the classroom or if they don't come, go through the door on the right side of the room and circle your way to Start A. Haven't played this map much. University Start A (Near the truck): Almost identical tactic from both starting points. Rush to the middle ground and start sneaking your way from cover to cover till you're near the stairs. Use your hearing ability to see if they're going to the right (one with the classroom and near your start) or left (one that leads to the small outside area with sandbags) building. The left building is way easier to flank from your position so if they're going there, all the better. Just go up the stairs and circle behind them or take them from the side. If they're going to the right building, your best bet would be to go inside the left building through the windows and work your way outside to the water fountain and get inside the right side building. This will give a good chance to surprise them from the back. If they split, take the left side first, if possible. Start B (near the fountain): Same tactic really than before. Go through the middle and the building with the classroom and pathway to the building in the back is way easier to flank than the one with the small outdoor area. Bill's Town Start A (at the workshop): Rush to the white van in the middle of the map. Use your hearing ability to see if they're going to the bar or into the library(?). If they're going to the bar, it's easy to circle through the library and then through Start B to the back of the bar and behind the enemies. If they slip past you upstairs, go through the entrance near the bar counter upstairs. Start B (near the bar): Again, rush to the white van in the middle of the map and use your hearing ability to see if they're going through to the library or to the bar. The bar is easier to flank than the library, because there's not much cover. If they go to the library, sneak along the bar and around Start A so that you can get well behind the people who are either camping near the busted wall or are already inside the library. That's all I do these days. Tips: - Buy lots of ammo - If things get tough, retreat and gather equipment then repeat your flanking plan - 3 shots to the legs from the semi-automatic rifle takes enemies down even if they have armor - If you're last one alive, go get equipment but don't start camping. Move and you have better chance of survival
Honestly have to say High School is my favorite map in the multiplayer and Bill's Town is my least favorite.
Lakeside all the way. I'm about to [sp]reach the sewer chapter again, with all those notes regarding that sailor Ish and his group of survivors. Wouldn't Ish's fate be nice content for a DLC? I mean, it's implied that he escaped with Susan and a few kids, he could still be alive, a children's drawing implies that he could be a military guy, so he could be a pretty good fighter. I'd like to know what really happened to him.[/sp]
I just finished the game, [sp]and holy shit. Didn't expect any of that ending what so ever. Completely torn over what to think, but you can see Ellie would probably have chosen to sacrifice herself if it meant a cure for the whole of humankind. I thought it was an awesome character development for Joel and you can always tell he is secretly a bit of an asshole because of the way Sarah's death took it's toll on him, but I thought he would still have been a decent person in the end. This way he is most definitely portrayed as the bad guy in the situation and directly responsible for the rest of the continuing deaths and infections of the rest of the human race purely because of his own selfishness. This kinda upsets me, but only a minor niggle because the story didn't pan out as a happy ending the way I'd hoped it would and I know now that their whole relationship from now on will be based on a lie. But then again, The Last of Us is hardly a game about happy endings so I'm not surprised that turned out to be the case and it was still fucking amazing, loved it from start to finish.[/sp]
