Has anyone else experienced game-breaking glitches while trying to play?
I ended up not being able to even get past the tutorial section because maps/audio weren't loading (When I first jumped down into these tunnels to get outside, I landed in a featureless plain of brightest white and it took a couple minutes for the game to realise there was supposed to be a map there and load it, when the game teaches you about ladders Tess didn't say anything about the ladder until I'd already figured it out myself and we were inside the building), animations were all fucked up (One of the first things I saw in the city was two guys in hazmat suits sliding backwards out through a closed door without moving their legs, Joel kept his arms by his side and waved his id papers in front of this checkpoint guard with some sort of telekinetic powers, etc) and when I tried to quit the game it actually crashed my PS3 so badly I ended up having to unplug it from the wall.
ArcNova3146 add it up
Oh my god Naughty Dog really needs to fix the search for players, I recently got out of a game were the other team had a level 109 and my team had 2 level 0. The level 109 guy was a whole team. He fucked us up like there was no tomorrow. My face has never been so red in my entire life.

Hey maybe they'll make DLC of unseen events in the story? We don't know what happened between Pitsburg and Jackson, they can't have just drive without gassing up even once.
Isn't it confirmed that it will be this sort of a side story? With ideas everybody had during development but which did not make it into the final game?

They can definitely be proud of themselves. I think Naughty Dog became one of my favorite studios by now.

Oh and I've been playing around with VirtualDub recently and I created this animated Ellie avatar

Could be a bit spoilery though
From Crash Bandicoot to The Last Of Us. Fuck yeah Naughty Dog
Should have the stories intertwine.

Plot Twist: Uka Uka is responsible for the Infection.
Just watched the entire game mashed up into 3 and a half hour movie. Godamn, that emotional roller coaster.

How, where, and was it just the cutscenes put together?

We need to get another MP-session going tomorrow, guys
So, yesterday I lost the shorty in the campaign because of a glitch.
Today, I start up the game, kill one enemy and he drops it.
This game is nice and fair.
Is the game worth it just for the multiplayer? I know the singleplayer story is supposedly fantastic and I'm all for that, but would you say the MP deserves its own spotlight?
That ending was fucking amazing, I really loved this game.
This is easily the best game Naughty Dog made so far.
Well the MP is pretty damn amazing, though one should wait till both DLCs are out before judging it fully.
I kinda think we'll get a hospital map in the future. They [sp]based all maps on SP locations after all.[/sp]
So I just finished Survivor+, and I think we might have been wrong about [sp]other immunes[/sp] all along.
[sp]Can someone tell me what recordings people have found that hint toward other immunes in the world? I want to be certain of this before I throw it out there.[/sp]
[editline]10th July 2013[/editline]
There's literally nothing in this game that ever references [sp]other immune people. It would make it easier to whitewash Joel's actions, but there's nothing that backs it up. It's made up.[/sp]
No need to [sp]whitewash any of Joels actions IMO. He did nothing bad.[/sp]

Yeah, about the ending:
[sp]Joel did exactly what I wanted him to do.
A lot of people seem to think that he's the bad guy but some of questions I feel people really should be asking themselves are:
How did you react to getting told that Ellie would die (most likely against her will)? Were you fine with it or did you actually want Joel to stop them?
If the player would have been given a choice, I doubt that many people would have chosen to let Ellie die since by that time most people have become too emotionally attached to the characters. I actually thought that the game would prompt me to choose (similar to the Black Ops 2 ending) at the scene where you confront Marlene for the last time. Of course I had already made up my mind about what choice I was going to make if I were given one and I'm glad Joel made that same choice.
Besides, discussions in this thread have already concluded that the fireflies developing a vaccine wouldn't have had a better outcome than Joel and Ellie (both being ALIVE) going back to Jackson County and outliving the infected.[/sp]
[sp]Again, the ending is better without some justification.[/sp]

[sp]I'm not saying that he did a bad thing (I stand by my position that there are no bad guys in the story at all), I'm just saying that we've been wrong about there being other immune people all along. I'm curious as to what started that rumour, because it's never even mentioned.[/sp]

[sp]Supposedly the recorder you find in the cutscene near the end of the University has a number of references to past tests that may have used immune folk. You can listen to the whole thing after the cutscene.[/sp]

[sp]Iirc he said that he himself had lost hope because their latest breakthrough was five years ago. They were experimenting on monkeys, but it said nothing of humans.
Furthermore, if you listen to the first of Marlene's audio recordings from the hospital, you can tell she hasn't met any immunes before.
It went like this:
"It's 5:30 PM. April 28th. I just finished talking... More like yelling... On our head surgeon. Apparently there's no way to extricate the parasite without eliminating the host. Fancy way of saying we gotta kill the fucking kid.
The tests just keep getting harder and harder and I just want this to end...
So be it."[/sp]

Is this a bug or am I racist? :v:
Think I'm done with this multiplayer shit. It seems extremely based on luck and is borderline impossible to play without a decent team. I'm tired of carrying teams so I think I'll just stick to singleplayer
How long did you play the multiplayer in total?
There are players that wreck entire teams by themself, just gotta play it smart. Don't ragequit because you had a chain of bad matches. You tried the "no parties" option yet?
Also, theres always the possibility to play with your fellow Facepunchers, we wrecked shit a few days ago :)
I've been pretty lucky in the multiplayer so far, but the thing is, one bad game and you're feeling the consequences for a looong time.
