There's always a way to overcome it.
Personally though, try to find a bottle or brick
try to throw it and attract as many as possible to where it was thrown, once that's done and they've gathered, molotov their asses.
After that, you'll probably have to kill 3 or 4 more but it shouldn't be too difficult.
That's the fun part, it's the one area in the entire game where there isn't any bottles or bricks.
I don't know if I overlooked it or if it was the luck of the dice but the Shorty wasn't there.

I picked it up, died and when it reloaded it wasn't there or in my inventory but a bit later on when I killed an enemy, he dropped one.

All three times I've went through the game it's always been in the same spot in that room.
Really enjoyed this game.
I wouldn't go as far as calling it gaming's "citizen kane moment" lmao, but its certainly cemented in my mind at least, that naughty dog is hands down the best developer out there at the moment. And credit to them, they managed to create intelligent set pieces that made your enemies feel like a real threat, not just a horde of people to put a bullet in and run to the next area. I found the combat frustrating at times, but this works to its benefit ultimately, one of the first games where I actually felt like firefights were realistically hard not just whack-a-mole with a bb gun.
The ending was kind of underwhelming for me at first, but looking back again, this is something that works better for it. I loved how polarizing it is and how it makes you question the morality of the situation and the characters whereas most games would've opted for cookie cutter tropes.

I had to take a break from this game to digest it's material. I'm thinking of going back, and finally giving single player another play through on a harder difficulty. Also, I'll be trying to drop back in to MP as well.

I found el diablo next to a car before the [sp]dam where Tommy is.[/sp]
I've heard that Sony have also confirmed that the sequels will feature different characters, so Joel and Ellies story is finished

The first playthrough I found the flamethrower in that tall room where you have to open the gate to get the horse through.
You really gotta wonder who leaves a fucking flamethrower lying around.
I don't know man, considering the context of the situation, I'd leave a lot more than a flamethrower behind if it meant being able to live.

If so, how well does it work for you?
Spawning earlier on a teammate and seeing nearby enemies on the radar sounds amazing but I'd like to have some input from others before I commit to it.
I wish they would just announce some dlc already, the multiplayer's gotten really stale by now.
I finally finished it on Survivor, oh god what a playthrough.
I guess it's Survivor+ in a few days, going for that platinum.
Some new maps would be great.
Multiplayer is still a blast for me.
I wish those pictures up there would be available as wallpapers.
The multiplayer just continues to amaze, really. Really manages to use the stuff from the main game to make it different from all those other 3rd person MP games. Lakeside is and will forever be my favorite map by far, except they decide to add another amazing snowy map in the future. It's just perfect.

Should have removed 2 of the 3 watermarks and moved the last watermark to the bottom right or bottom left.
