I hope they make more games but from different peoples perspectives. Like different survivor groups throughout different times.
That sounds like more of a DLC thing. I don't see why we need more games.
It would be pointless to make another game if it didn't focus on the same characters. I don't want them to make a sequel anyway since Joel and Ellie's story is over and it would be stupid to thrust them into another journey.
DLC soon.

More excited for that SP DLC than I've been for any other full game released this year, and I feel horrible about it.

I finally managed to get some posters (that turned out way too large) up on my wall as well. If nothing else, they're working wonders for my programming.
Dear god I need to know what it is
Tell us Naughty Dog. Tell us now.
They need to have a PS4 upgrade for this, otherwise I'll probably never get to play it. I keep hearing so many good things about it but there's no way I'll buy a whole console just for this.

For some reason I thought I could post it there

Today is Outbreak day, the day the cordyceps took over, and tomorrow Naughty Dog will tell us how to survive, according to Twitter.
how's the new multiplayer mode? can't get my game updated for some reason, argh
it's really unique in a not unique way, if that makes sense.
the modes are basically TDM with unique twists like crafting, stealth and listen mode (aka xray)
i fucking love it, but it looks like not a lot of people are still playing it which is really unfortunate because of how tense a round can get if you're the last person alive with 3 molotovs, 2 shivs and a bunch of smokebombs and motion bombs
if you start playing now prepare to get your shit kicked in from people that have been playing since launch, but once you unlock some items it gets so much better
Man just finished it, all that hype was well placed, such a powerful game.
oh my god this is amazing (spoilers for ending though)

As a PC gamer I wish someone took a full game playthrought in HD, speeded up all the routine fighting/sneaking moments by 2-3 times and put it all together. The game is fun to watch like a movie, but the combat, stealth and scavenging gets really boring when you are not playing. I am just into it for the dialogue, cutscenes and thrilling events.
They've released details about the first dlc
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/09/27/the-last-of-us-future-dlc-plans/
All the maps are based on locations from singleplayer, hopefully they'll be more than just a cut and paste though.

Imagine if Sony just up and said, "Hey ND, port this game to PC just because we told you so."
That would be awesome.
There's a movie version of the game around. Somebody posted it months ago.
Here, this seems to have only the most relevant gameplay scenes and all the extra dialogue you would otherwise miss without the gameplay bits:

If you have a PS3, it would be unwise to miss out on this game, truly an experience I won't forget.
The video is not available in my country. Oh well I trust you
So I just finished it and, uh...
Review time...
[sp]I didn't like the ending. At all. Like, I suppose it was a "good" ending in a sense that it didn't suck absolute ass. But... it ended on Joel lying. It ended on basically the idea that Joel fucked over humanity and its chance for a vaccine just so he could be with Ellie.
I'm sorry, but that's just not a good ending. I don't mean it as "it was a sad ending thus it was bad". I like that it derived from the usual happy-weehoo-celebration ending. I like that it was saddening. But I don't like HOW it ended.
It feels like they're going to give us a sequel, but what would even be in it? 20 more years into the future and we now play as Ellie as she finds out on Joels deathbed that he lied to her? It'll be too late by then anyway for her to go back! Not to mention it'd be a short game and god save us all if it has the same gameplay in it.
Which reminds me, that was a mindnumbing task. Shoot baddies, sneak away from clickers and runners, move ladders, move crates, move Ellie over deep water on very conveniently placed pallets.
Am I the only one on this? After the 500th slaughtering rampage not too dissimilar to the next Rambo movie it started getting a bit repetitive.
I'll say though, the story overall was good. Like I said what irked me the most was the ending, it just doesn't sit right with me. Also the deaths of Sam and Henry weren't the least bit shocking to me. It was pretty predictable. Aside from that, a solid and awesome story. I really liked the bit of when you run with Ellie in your arms at the end, like it's calling back to running with Sarah at the beginning. Nice little tie.
Overall... 7/10. Definitely not GOTY material, but it's pretty good.[/sp]

I feel as if [sp] Ellie knew that Joel was lying to her. You can tell by the way she reacted with his response, and her skeptical questioning of his actions after the hospital scene.
Sure Joel acted selfishly on his part, but honestly, a vaccine was never really guaranteed. To boot, his brother showed that mankind can endure an event like this. Not to mention his psychological damage from his daughter dying in his arms. I don't think he could go through something like that again.[/sp]

[sp]Joel did not fuck up humanity in any way. He saved the life of an innocent girl. It was in no way guaranteed that a cure would be possible by operating on Ellie, and even if there was a cure, the "good" Fireflies wouldn't have given it to those who need it for free. It would've just caused more death and conflict, fucking up everything even more. Joel made the world a better place by messing those psychos up for good.[/sp]
[sp]In the end, mankind will overcome the plague or simply adapt to it.[/sp]
I love the ending.

[sp]If you think Ellie believed that lie you must have missed some vital parts of the game. She's not stupid. I think the ending is great because it's not sad nor happy. It's ambigous and opens up for discussion
For example, David asked a very interesting question while talking to Ellie. If it's okay to kill in self-defense, why is it not okay to kill other people and eat them, if you're starving to death? Is that even a choice? David did what he felt he had to in order to survive (eating people, that is, not being a fucking disgusting asshole).
So seeing as Joel had most likely already attempted suicide after Sarah died, judging from the conversation in the hotel, losing Ellie would definitely have pushed him over the edge. Joel did what he felt he had to in order to survive. Whether what he did was okay or not depends on who you ask, but can you really blame him when all he did was defend his own life, and saving another person while at it?[/sp]
