Just recently got this. Is there a god damn reason why I can't get past the loading screen after opening scene(which didnt even play so I had to skip it)

The only obvious loading screen is when you start a game, and that one's supposed to be very long, but if there are any such after that point you might want to look further into it.
Was hoping for Ish but this is 100% fine too.
Going to be interesting to see how it plays out, hell. It might even let you play up to the point where you meet Joel or where the zone gets attacked by Fireflies.
Either way, it's going to be good!
I had a feeling they were going to move back onto this, the work they put into [sp]Ellie as a character and her animations during the short segments you get to play as her[/sp] kind of suggested that they might want to reuse the assets somewhere. Even so it's good we are getting more story DLC, the multiplayer isn't all the fun without friends and I can safely say we all bought this game for the single player.
It's a shame it comes out in 2014 though, but still barely going to complain about more story.
I'm unsure about a prequel, because the story won't contain many surprises, but I can safely say that I'm more excited about this than any full game coming next year. The Witcher 3 comes close, but that's it.
Been thinking about finishing this game again on Survivor +. I'll instantly get 4 trophies at the end, 3 silver and 1 gold. Will also look for as many collectables as I can too.

Yes oh god yes! I wasn't much of a console person after I got into PC gaming (I did have a PS2 and earier consoles but that was when I was much younger) but I bought a PS3 to play Metal Gear Solid 4 & Uncharted, and it's so much worth it. For 50£ you get so much entertainment + 27£ for one of my fav games of all time.

The Last of us (obviously)
Uncharted trilogy
Metal Gear Solid Legacy collection (or HD collection, although I recommend MGS4 aswell)
Demon's souls.
Ratchet & Clank
Nier (Not the best game on the list but it has an amazing soundtrack and it's worth playing.)
TLDR: Yes, it's worth it. The last of us is amazing.

How are there more hunters than infected? Seems all I deal with is an army of maniacs every 5 minutes. I find it hard to believe they'd be willing to track down a couple of people who are clearly thinning their numbers. How much could they have to loot that would make the casualties worth it?
