Finished the Left Behind DLC, took me about 2 and a half hours.
[sp]It was good and I'm glad I bought it, but it literally ended how everyone expects it to, I was hoping for something extra or a twist. Also we don't get to see what happens when Riley turns and Ellie doesn't, I was looking forward to that. Thought it was good that you also get to see how she saved Joel. And some of those infected Ellie kills at the end is brutal, really cool blood effects too. [/sp]
If you're a big fan of the game and story I'd say it's worth a buy, some great moments.

Finished it and I thought it was pretty damn awesome. It was longer than I expected and just as much fun as I had with the original. The fights felt better in this, especially [sp]the infected vs human fights[/sp]
Some things irked me with the story though, [sp]the Riley/Ellie kiss just seemed so out of place with Ellie's character. Even though it was supposed to be a "I care about you" kiss, a lot of people will easily mistake it as Ellie being a lesbian. It felt kinda pointless to me cause we could see Ellie cared about her through the dialogue/interactions.
Riley was a cool character and the flashbacks to the original game were pretty awesome. Naughty Dog did really awesome making the two characters interact so well together, especially in the time-frame they had to introduce their relationship together.
The ending left me a little sour though, I wanted to see Riley turn/Ellie not turn, it ended way too soon. [/sp]
Still, it was awesome! I need more now. Holy shit I said awesome a lot looking back, but that describes it!
Yeah, that DLC was pretty awesome overall. I had a rough start after not playing the game for 6 months, though; it took me three tries just to kill the first stalkers you encounter. :v:
Can't get enough of Ellie and her personality, but don't think we'll ever be seeing her again :(
Getting my paycheck in 11 days, can't wait for Left Behind!
I guess I can expect the way it ends but hey, the journey and not the destination.
Just finished it myself and without spoiling anything all I can say is it was fantastic.
Naughty Dog did a good job tying certain things together and introducing the multiple faction encounters was just superb, it was really fun.
One part kind of irked me because of how out of nowhere it was but either way, the DLC was just amazing.
Playing Left Behind really made me have a hankering for another playthrough of the main game, as well as some multiplayer. Do you guys know if the multiplayer is still active?

I play it nearly everyday, more people in my area have gotten into it and I have no problem ever finding a full game. Gotta love the new DLC maps too.

At least when a buddy and I played.
Just finished Left Behind on hard, I was hoping it would be a tad longer but other wise it was fantastic. [sp]but I'm still wondering where Ellie got that scar[/sp]

[sp]So Ellie pretty much confirmed to be Bi/Lesbian?[/sp]

Exactly... [sp]Those three infected around trucks where you have to get that gas were brutal[/sp]
I think the [sp]kiss[/sp] adds an additional, completely redundant and superfluous layer to the story. It sticks out like a sore thumb and I think it was only put into the game to further dramatize [sp]ellie's survivor's guilt[/sp]. It takes the game's story in a direction perpendicular to the main story line. The game is about survival/father+daughter/friendship relationships, it isn't supposed to and doesn't need to be about [sp] ellie's ambiguous sexuality, even though I have nothing against expressing sexuality in itself.[/sp] and I hope it wasn't just put there to forcefully fabricate a new theme so that it isn't the same shit as the main game again. Worse, there isn't any event that further builds upon it, and the [sp]kiss[/sp] is simply too striking of a gesture and a plot point to leave unresolved.

maybe I'm just taking the main game into consideration too much
[sp]I didn't think it was so great. For one it would have been a lot better if we didn't already know what happened to Riley. Even then, it would have been a lot more powerful had we seen the part where Riley turns and Ellie doesn't. I was also hoping to actually meet a new character, I half expected to see Ellis but nope. Finally, I still really don't get why the hunters care so much about Joel and Ellie.[/sp]
I'm also a little disappointed that there isn't any new multiplayer content. Like, at least a new hat or something.

[sp]they were probably a really close group of guys and really wanted them dead for killing their friends. That and they got orders from that pedo boss guy[/sp]
Was [sp]Ellie's kiss[/sp] a surprise to anyone? I got that part spoiled to me thanks to the page 2 pageking in the [sp]Ellen Page is a lesbian thread[/sp] and I feel shitty now because I wanted it to be a surprise. That spoiler was stuck in my head when playing the DLC and according to a tweet from Neil Druckman, that part was supposed to be a secret. Were any of you guys expecting it? Were you surprised when it happened? Was it obvious that it was going to happen? I feel really bummed to have such a relatively big part of the story spoiled to me, that's all.
Other than that, I really liked the DLC. I really liked the [sp]infected vs. humans, photobooth part, the Magic 8 Ball skull, arcade, and that water-gun boss fight.[/sp] I was also hoping to see [sp]Riley turn and shiz but I guess ND didn't want that. Oh well. It probably didn't fit with the mood they were aiming for, for the ending, anyway.[/sp] Sucks that this'll be the only SP DLC for the game. I'd gladly pay for more story.

[sp]What's a Facebook?[/sp]
I really don't get the fuss because [sp]they kissed. At least for me it's nothing strange nowadays and it was very quick and spontaneous which felt very innocent. Ellie might be gay or not but the kiss was supposed to show she truly cared about Riley. The whole DLC was about that and the kiss being put at the very end ties it up well I think. The fact we don't see Riley die is a bit of a letdown but I understand their choice of ending and it's completely acceptable.[/sp]
I always got the impression that [sp]Ellie had feelings for Riley[/sp] from the way she spoke of her. I dunno.
I'm slightly more concerned that [sp]two people who clearly care deeply for eachother; discuss their feelings and then kiss, but some people can still insist that "it's not gay it's just friendship". Like them being gay would be a problem.
I've never kissed anybody quite like that in that situation with that kinda relationship out of friendship. But does it really even matter? If Riley was a male character it probably would've blown over[/sp]
Now let's wait for Ellen Page to accuse them of ripping her off again :v:
I want a mall multiplayer map. And then I want Naughty Dog to finally add a No-Party DLC multiplayer option, because every time I play one of the DLC maps its against a rushing group of level 500 sniper/flamethrower guys.
Hmm. Shouldn't have clicked those spoilers. [sp]But I always did get the idea that they were more than friends, in a way[/sp]
My thoughts, was it was relatively easy, even on hard. though that might just be because this has become the only console game I play daily.
[sp] as for the kiss, I don't think it has anything to do with sexuality at all, she's like what 14? and it's 20 years into the apocalypse they probably have no idea what that stuff even is, there was a lot of tension between the two girls and the reunion was dramatic for the both of them. a kiss is just a kiss.[/sp]

The MP is relatively easy, even against people like that you can still win. never give up!
Great DLC although it wasn't anything I expected. Ellie was a great character and this DLC was basically you get the hang out with Ellie one last time and it highlighted all the things that I thought made her a great character. There wasn't a whole lot of actual game to the DLC but it had tons of moments that put a huge smile on my face so for that it gets a big thumbs up from me.

the key to mastering any team-based multiplayer game is to find a team. Just play for a few hours and you'll meet at least a few decent mic-using and cooperative players. Or recruit IRL friends. you don't have to stick to just one small group of people either because chances are you all wont be on at the same time.
When you're playing with a good team you can get flawless victories. Arc Nova and I have had a nice few matches where we kept eachother alive the whole time. we're playing tonight actually, so add us up if you're down to piss off some stragglers. matter of fact, anybody that plays TLOU mp should add arc nova and i
I really liked the DLC. [sp]Photobox and video game[/sp] were the best part of it, i think.
Though, i expected to see [sp]what had become to Railey after her wound.[/sp]
I think the ending would have been extremely powerful if [sp]it had shown Ellie putting Riley down. It's never said whether she did or not but given that they agreed to die together, surely Riley would have attacked Ellie when she turned?[/sp]
Is Left Behind worth buying for $15?
This was like watching a train wreck in slow-motion, and I loved it.
[sp]I knew exactly what would happen, which just made the infected coming running right after the kiss all the more heartbreaking.
Unlike what seems like everyone else I see no problem with the kiss. Seeing as Riley was not only Ellie's only friend, but had just sacrificed her dream of moving with the Fireflies for her sake, it seems pretty natural to at that point come out with "I love you". And Ellie was 14 at the time, while obviously growing up quicker than a kid does in our world.[/sp]

Also, [sp]"Skeleseer can suck my dick."[/sp]
[sp]And Ellie was 14 at the time, while obviously growing up quicker than a kid does in our world.[/sp]
I think that's the main problem I had about it. Obviously The Last of Us isn't real so it's hard to adjust to the fact that everyone in it is a lot more mature than they should be for their age, that's why for me at least I was kind of taken aback from seeing that.
Just finished, quite possibly one of the best DLC addons I've played in a while.
And once again the soundtrack is just amazing, had to buy Volume 2.
