It's trash in the sense that if it's a poorly drawn Sans. They can draw him however the fuck they want but I'm going to say it's a shitty version of Sans, because it is.
My opinion shouldn't drive them away from doing whatever the fuck they want to do, but that also shouldn't deny my right for my shitty ass opinions.

[sp]The back door, the fact that a lazybones comic relief character judges you near the end, his teleportation ability, the entirety of his interactions with you during Genocide, Flowey's warning to stay away from Sans (although we find out why in Genocide, if we take that for granted),[/sp] and there's probably more that I've missed.
Sans's character is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Since everyone loves him, hardcore fans are going to tear him apart - and they have been for a while.

As I've learned from Tumblr, there are three types of sin.
Sin, with a uppercase 'S' = Things that are deemed morally wrong
sin, in all lowercase letters = Stupid shit you like to do
SIN, in all uppercase letters = The most nonredeemable 'Sins'.

oh man, entire game repainted having non-pixel art style would look so weird. non-pixel I mean just basic vector lines n shit instead of pixel-art

Pixel-art can have many different styles. I personally didn't mean non-pixel fan art in my post but the thing is with the right type of non-pixel art the game could work, too.
So I privated one of my covers because I got a LOT of negative feedback on it - aka I wanted to redo it at some point, but that's proven impossible with my workload right now.. It was about a month ago, and when I watch it now it doesn't seem that bad?
