Because he's still stuck in standard RPG mode, having absolutely no idea about the game whatsoever. I have a hunch that later on when the themes pick up about choice and consequence he will be thinking just a bit more. The gears are already turning a bit for him based on what he read in the librarby, so it will be interesting to see how he reacts later on I think.

I think it's got more to do with the explosive success than anything else. With such a large playerbase, things got found out so extremely quickly compared to what he assumed would've been a small-scale cult following similar to Earthbound.

So I just finished this game for the first time with the neutral ending, its a great game but I don't really understand the hype behind replaying it constantly after getting all 3 endings.
Also, Flowey recommended I visit Undyne before resetting, is it worthwhile or is he just bullshitting?

Late, but the way I found out about undertale is through DAAS, Then after finding out what game it was saw joel's first stream of it.
