Link answers questions and tells people his name and there's actually a cutscene in Skyward Sword where he stops to explain a bunch of stuff to someone, and the camera tilts up and away as he's shown talking and gesturing, but you never hear him say an English word, so fanart likes to show him either silent or just grunting and yelling like in gameplay

Everytime I see Sans' ribs, I get reminded of the concept art Temmie Chang drew where Sans had one of those Skeleton T-Shirts on under his hoodie.
I almost wish they went with that. It's so perfect for his character.

Phil seems to actually be very competent with the game in both killing + dodging, as well as solving the individual 'puzzles' of pacifying all the enemies. He's caught on to some of the more difficult ones to figure out almost immediately (snowdrake, for example). I'm enjoying watching his playthrough! As bizarre as that sounds.

I actually really enjoy silent or implied-dialogue protagonists. I feel like sometimes having a voice that's not the player's voice speaking [I]on behalf of[/I] the player can be really ham fisted and clunky - especially if it's a shitty hyper-macho overly cocky Master Chief-style voice
While we are on the subject:
I always thought that having protagonist not speak at all on the games was Nintendo's way of saying that actions speaking louder than actual words.
