[sp]I personally think that Chara was just a psychopath and just simply used Asriel as a tool to help get what she/he wanted, much like how a serial killer will sometimes have followers that do their bidding except it backfired on him/her when Asriel had second thoughts and didn't want to kill the humans that attacked him even as they beat him to death.[/sp]

I only met him like on my third playtrough when I was trying to trigger the Glyde encounter.

I only met Jerry during my genocide run.
What good timing on his part.
They should add a neutral ending where you killed no one but Jerry.
Then an ending where you killed everyone but Jerry.
In hard mode genocide run jerry is in all spawn pools and can even show up during bosses.
he takes twice as long to appear when you're grinding, and if you're fighting a boss you both have to do an escape sequence like from Undyne until he gives up and you can go back to fighting
I managed to run into Jerry on my first run because I spent too much time running around trying to explore.
Also I died to the Dogi like 4 times
I think Dogamy and Dogaressa were the first monsters to kill me in my playthrough. I guess I didn't figure out the axe-trick in time.
