Undertale megathread v4 - An award winning RPG where nobody has to get hurt. YES, that STILL include - Games

The thought of people attacking others over "mis-labeling" a video game character whose gender is decided by the player in a majority of cases is just too darned strange. Everyone can have their own opinion, but it's kind of implausible to prove an opinion wrong on something so undecided like this.

Kind of a old build bug but kinda funny (pacifist spoilers) [sp]If you attack Undyne's lost memory you'd get the miss message bugging the fuck out like a machine gun firing off. Was in the game up until the build before release and Toby said "no don't worry I fixed it". I just found out it wasn't fixed at all.[/sp] :dog: pls

Ha ha ha.[/quote] The only reason people are assuming undertale to begin with is because the game was a stretch goal on the undertale kickstarter, which is a pretty fair assumption lol. But at the same time Toby doesn't seem interested in doing more undertale, so idk!

I personally think that the Undertale package is so perfectly wrapped up that it doesn't really NEED any expanding on. It'll be kind cool to see more because I do love the characters, but I'd prefer it if he did something totally new. But that may be just me.

It contradicts what happens and is said in game. Two examples are Toriel saying "It's good to hear your voice" when you call her, and [sp]when Frisk tells Asriel their name.[/sp]

But then again, old games didn't have dlc.

The new game is not directly related to Undertale, but will be somewhat of a slight tie in, covering the reasons for Gaster's existence, without directly referencing Undertale, or those events themselves. Gaster will be a main character in the new game, but no other previous characters will appear, save for possibly the very end of the game. Gaster's appearance in Undertale was simply a nod towards what would come next. Each game, being it's own world. Considering how absolutely amazing Toby Fox is at connecting storylines, hints, characters, and music, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of his future games and projects are actually all connected in some form. They'll all be different worlds, people, places, games, but it'll all tie into one big story in the end. Then again I'm probably entirely wrong and everything I just said will have nothing going for it in another 4 months or so when we get real details, but hey, who knows?

This is just my opinion, but whatever the next game is, I hope Gaster's in it as little as possible. I feel like in this case, the mystery is more intriguing than the explanation.

I'm spending my New Year playing Undertale. I'm starting 2016 by facing Mettaton.
