Adding so sorry was a mistake though on many levels even if it doesnt really detract from the game being hidden and pulled off gracefully enough.

So Sorry literally doesn't change anything about the game, the fight has cute mechanics, and the music is catchy. The origin of the character shouldn't cause people to froth at the mouth like it does. Like... chill.

what is So Sorry?

So Sorry isn't a plot character as far as I know, so why do people have issues with it?

Because it was assumed to be someone's "fetish character" (when really it was just someone's OC that may have also been used in adult art because people do that sometimes and it shouldn't be as surprising as everyone's acting like it is) and that's the worst thing anyone could ever do to a video game, apparently.

Stop FIGHTing about So Sorry please.

Normally I don't care much for Joel but this kinda tipped it over for me because he had absolutely no clue what he was talking about and acted as if he did. Samael donated to the tier that gave you the opportunity to put your OC into the game if you so pleased. He did so and then got shit on by everyone, and then people on /v/ and Reddit spread lies about how Toby "didn't want to do it" or something. Yeah, the character is based off his weird personal interests but none of that is mentioned/referenced in the game other than the fact he's a bit fat. The character is cute and the music is funny. You have to go digging to find out more about him and his work (and to find out how to find him in the first place, he's pretty well hidden) and people act as if he's the spawn of furry Satan, and forget the fact that he donated $1000 which nobody seems to appreciate.

I don't like that So Sorry attacks the player's heart directly with the tail swing. [sp]That's something only Omega Flowey, Lemon Bread, Asriel, and Asgore can do AFAIK. I think one of Memoryhead's attack do too but I'm not sure.[/sp] That's my only complaint about the encounter. Heck if I came across him without knowing who the Kickstarter reward monsters were I probably wouldn't of thought about it as anything more than a secret encounter. I agree that Joel was too harsh about it. It's a secret joke encounter that most people wouldn't of known about until /v/ and reddit raised hell about it.

I don't get why anybody is upset about his inclusion especially because he's shown to be quite pathetic in the game. What's the problem here?

I don't even know who So Sorry is, but it sounds like they're just bitching to bitch.

That guy covered 1/10th of the games total kickstarter funding by himself so I don't really give the slightest fuck if he wants to have his character hidden in a nearly impossible to find place and with no references to its fetish nature. And neither should anyone else.

He and Toby worked to find a way to put his dragon furry character in that wouldn't break tone or anything like that- even hiding him away was agreed on between the two. People found him and thought that he was a cute little easter egg or whatever until someone on /v/ pointed out "holy shit it's a furry!!" This suddenly spawned a ton of people who "knew a guy who knew toby and toby hates his fucking guts!!" posts and people creating millions of rumors about how killing him won't destroy a pacifist run, how sans can shit talk him, people finding ways to contact the guy and everyone just kind of harassed him for it. Like death threats etc. Reality is the team behind undertale, Toby, Temmie, Everdraed, Kenju and others (Myself included) have literally no issues with him and think less of the fans that go out of their way to shit on someone who literally did nothing wrong. E: Just to be clear re-reading this I'm not really part of the team if I came off like that.
