By no stretch of the imagination would I consider this to be a little game in GMS.
Sure, while a bare-bones engine that mostly-resembles it be thrown together in the span of a weekend, it'd not reach nearly the level of detail and polish that the game has reached since the alpha stages. He also had the aid of crowd funding, which gave him the flexibility and safety to work on it full-time instead of having to juggle work on the game with working for a living.

The end result is still him getting awesomely rich from making a short game with branching path endings.
Which is a good thing when the story is good.

As long as the writing of said story is good and actually manages to grab your attention it doesn't really matter in which program was created. This isn't even the first time it happened either.
Finished the pacifist ending, I gotta say it was pretty great
but what reallly hit me was after.
[sp]Flowey saying that everyone is happy and basically the game is over, it really pulled on some heartstrings for me.[/sp]
One part of me wants an undertale 2 or something, but the other part knows it probably wont be as good as the original and it might ruin the story
If anything does happen, I hope we get some background to other fallen humans. [sp]during the omega flowey fight you see each heart, and each heart has a different theme sorta to it (words, ballet shoes, etc.) maybe we'll see an insight to about them. Maybe their omega flowey attack relates to who they were? [/sp]

Doesn't game creators get a 50% cut when selling their games trough steam? I think i might have seen somewhere but I could be mistaken.

Undertale's popularity might've surpassed Homestuck at this point. But despite the fanbase feeling huge games like GTA, the Witcher, CSGO etc. are more popular in perspective for obvious reasons.
It's sometimes funny for me to remind myself that.
Man I followed that "tratser" person for that one Undertale comic about Sans absorbing souls, and while the comic is okay (I think the artist kind of ran out of steam for the plot and is BSing right now) all the other posts are the hyper-edgy Sans design or other dumb fan theory kind of stuff.
