A conversation I had with my mom: (I'm wearing an undertale shirt) Mom: "Why is the guy on the back of your shirt praying?" Me: "It's a girl. Her name's Toriel." Mom: "Why's she praying?" Me: "Because she doesn't want you to get hurt. And also because she can't be with you, I guess. She loves you. It's like a mother child sort of thing." Mom: "Why can't you stay with her?" Me: "You want to but you have to find a way back to you home. And she can't come with you." Mom: "Well, I'm glad she's praying for you." Me: "A lot of people are." A conversation I had with my brother, who knows what Undertale is but has never played it: Him: (Pointing at the shirt) "I don't get it." Me: "Undertale." Him: "I don't get it." Me: "Yeah."

I pieced it together earlier than then because the sound bites used during their dialog is so similar. Same goes with the sound bite used during the flashback falling scene in Waterfall. They look visually similar as well, so the mere act of [i]seeing[/i] the character will spoil something to anyone who's so much as seen Toriel.

A different one though. Either way, I always liked the idea of it.

Exacly, I agree with you both, and I also think, that the next thread should have untagged spoilers, and a warning in the beginning of the threat stating that you should not browse it unless you have played the game through.

There's no reason to [I]browse[/I] the thread when you haven't completed the game yet, since there's nothing else to do here other than to discuss the whole uncovered story. obligatory :dog:

Jerry, please. Anyways, I just got around to finishing Undertale finally(pacifist)! What a beautiful game. I'm debating whether I should watch a genocide run or play it.

Alright, thanks for the responses! I'll go watch it via Joel and I'll take a peek at Game Grump's(Barry and Ross, right?) Also Mettaton is my soul robot. Edit: I could go and try playing it, but I'm not sure if I have the dedication to spend my time and go get..everything. Is there a point you can play up to it and then reset before it permanently affects your game?

Is there a point you can play up to it and then reset before it permanently affects your game?[/QUOTE] Genocide is actually a lot shorter than neutral or Pacifist, at least in terms of progress, the only thing that takes a lot of time is the grinding and... a "few" boss fights, but overall it's much less time consuming than the normal game. Most people don't play it just because they can't bring themselves to kill the characters they loved, if that's not much of an issue, I suggest you play it.
