Would you rather have him under constant supervision when that happens, or would you rather he sit in an empty city until his mind rots from boredom, depression, and God knows what other disorders could take root and fester in his brain, until then he worms out of the Underground. Then it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time to claim a soul, then bingo; he's on his way to becoming a mad God again.

Also, I am not a smart man, but I've met more than my fair share. Introducing the mere idea that restoring Asriel "can't be done" is a perfect way to motivate smart people to get on it. Maybe it really can't be done... Or maybe it can. Why not try?[/sp]

[sp]All of these things surrounding "we must save Asriel", and how he'd be super-dangerous in the post True Pacifist overworld, it actually seems like that could end up being the plot for a potential "Overtale". Even if Frisk "gave up" and lived their life, perhaps it would fall to a "New Kid" to try and save the world, in the event of Flowey stealing many more human souls (beyond 7) and becoming Giygas in all but name?[/sp]
