i love ragdolling in to people and stealing their weapons after slapping it out of their hands. sometimes i don't even go for looting guns; i just jack them from players who are so focused on fighting someone else they don't even know i'm charging at them at full quack
I made a map. It took me 1 hour but I'm kinda proud.

I may change weapons on top and bottom. Sad thing is Grenade Launcher does not penetrate walls.
How active is the online in this? I'd like to buy it but I don't know how much I could actually play it.
We could organize some play sessions and use the teamspeak server hosted by darth-veger whenever you want.
The game can be played up to 4 players, but it can be enjoyed it even with just 2.
I hate the teleporter levels, can never wrap my head around them.

Thats the point.

Right now it's pretty good. Wither it stays that way or not depends on people spreading the word on how fucking brilliant it is.
We should start a FP Duck Game steam group.
you guys have convinced me, I'm gonna give it a shot. is it better with a controller or keyboard?

I use a controller, the default key bindings are pretty garbage.
Also, you can control quack/instrument pitch on a controller with left trigger.

Get in here (Add to OP please)
I also use the controller. Feels very nice to play with. Not sure how KB&M would play but I can see some things being awkward like dropping through floors (having to hold S and push W to jump)
Do you think this game will get any cheaper on sale? Seems kinda a lot to fork out 10 euros for minigame-ish game.

It's better to think of it as a series of minigames, like warioware.

I hope it gets reduced soon myself. Then I can get all my friends to finally stop being cunts and buy the game :v:
it's stupid how good this game is
I really hope they continue releasing new content for it
it's crazy how good the music is
finally, some people are giving attention to how awesome the Yamaha YM2612 used in some oldschool soundcards and the Genesis can sound. Spelunky HD used some Genesis-sounding samples, Duck Game takes it even farther. I love it.
I definitely noticed some Genesis sounds. And one track that reminded me of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 for some reason.

I hope they add a deathmatch gamemode. That would be great.

Also the slipping on a banana peel sound is the greatest sound ever. :v:
Thats the point.
I don't think it's confusing in a hectic fun way, but confusing like one of those brain teasers where you have to fold six squares into a cube in your head way.
I love the senpai hat. At the end of each round I win I just wait about half a second in silence and do a cheeky wink with my quack. ;D
wearing someone's hat after you kill them and quacking in a sinister manner for full psychological warfare

Then throwing their corpse off the map.

I reckon the upcoming addition of workshop support and online custom map play will add a lot to the game. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there with a lot of cool ideas for maps that change the game up quite a bit.
that brick hat is the most insulting thing. it's so smug
if you play the game for about six hours you'll have memorized all of the maps so it's really easy to just grab the best weapon in the map and go to town wrecking people, so if you couple your map knowledge + brick face people will guaranteed rage quit
i love how the game seems so simple yet the mechanics feel really solid and go pretty in-depth
each weapon is unique and has it's own gimmick which creates a surprisingly high skill ceiling for a what seems like a really simple game. every round plays out differently because of this and it ends up becoming pretty competitive. the type of competitiveness that leaves you smiling even when you lose. it's great.
also i burst out laughing way too much in this game
The suicide gun got me good during a recent game.
I hope this game stays alive for a long time.
haha yeah, the suicide revolver is amazing

Haha, reminds me of a round on the map with just muskets and the red question mark box in the middle.
Guy is being chased like crazy, gets fired on but misses, guy that shot starts reloading his musket not far from the box (prob accident). The other guy picks up a gun from the question mark and runs to the musket guy and kills himself before he could notice what he picked up.
Fucking hilarious. This game is just filled with moments.
Lag really ruins the game though. "yes, I got below the ledge before he shot me!" *gets warped up and killed*. "Yes, I got to the gun and picked it up first" *suddenly other guy has the gun instead and kills you*. One guy lagged so bad he literally teleported across the entire fucking map.
the latency is really bad. it's really frustrating when you get a clean kill and yet a bullet just magically appears out of thin air and blasts you; the bullet having come from the person you literally just killed a moment before
i host my own games just so i can kick anyone with 200+ ping. it sucks the fun out of the game when you get killed for bullshit reasons

It's a high precision game where every millisecond counts, so yeah, lag really ruins the game. What should have been a draw or victory becomes utter defeat and you had no control over it.

It's kind of similar to The Showdown Effect, but that game had a surprisingly low skill ceiling.
Duck Game FP tourney?
