this game's recap screen in local multiplayer is phenomenal
Dang, it seems like buttons and wires may not be allowed on online maps.
this game's recap screen in local multiplayer is phenomenal
how so? Ive never seen it
how so? Ive never seen it
it has a newsreel with a duck newsreader and instant replays of the automatically determined highlights of the match and also coolness rating this video has some footage of it from an old version. I love the music
Hopefully the dev can get it working online.
So this used to be an Ouya exclusive.
Is there a group for game start-ups? I really want to play with some people, then just randoms all the time.
Finished another map, and this one doesn't use any wire stuff that can't be used online, which made it tricky to put in the thing where if you shoot up where the arrow sign is, grenades drop down blowing up the barrels and filling the bottom of the main are with lava. New beta build, contains custom level streaming ( if you're the host obviously ), modifiers for online and modding ( only for sounds ATM ), patch notes still haven't been posted.
Can't wait until I get home.
Currently testing a couple of my custom maps if anyone wants to download the new beta client. http://steamcommunity.com/app/312530/discussions/2/598198356174877023/
Well I was able a little testing done with one person. simplified the mine a little, on top of the details I added earlier. [t]http://i59.tinypic.com/2aez3at.jpg[/t] Replaced lava at the bottom of the other map with oil barrels that can make fires by dueling pistols that spawn, hit fun beams, and shoot the oil, still need too add more details though.
Wow, some guy loses his map to an editor bug, and the dev remakes the map himself: http://steamcommunity.com/app/312530/discussions/1/598198356178839075/

Just got out of a great session with a decent guy and a guy whose name was "GaysShouldBeCastra" and anytime he lost a round he'd call the map or us gay faggots, until the host had enough and kicked the dumb shit. It was so satisfying killing him.
looks like duck games hyper mega patch will come out either on thursday or on tuesday. gonna have workshop, modding, a million fixes thats next tuesday, depends on how the testing goes before thursday
https://twitter.com/superjoebob/status/617966948366716928 https://twitter.com/superjoebob/status/617967343134572544

This game is fantastic, and I think more people should play it. It's been the perfect party game so far!
Either the pirated version can connect to online games fine or a serious amount of people are unaware of workshop support. I say this as my brother plays this a lot and has been using custom maps a lot and three times out of five the other people think he made the maps they are playing on. And when he says he got them off Steam Workshop, its like he spoke a foreign language to them. If you've played with Fixthefernback or something like that, you've played with him.
For some reason one of my maps has a bunch of one word reviews saying things like "nice" from people who don't own the gamr. Not that I mind having the highest rated map.
I started making hats, cause why not. And I have to say, this is one of my crowning achievements [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/432697227711574374/EEDACE9A142139EA0DCD9434C06D6FD9D3A29FFC/[/t] I call him Duckseph Quackstar [sp]I realize this thread hasn't bumped in about a week, but hey, it needs more love.[/sp]
SuperBunnyHop interviewing superjoebob ( kind of 2 days late, sorry )
can you use custom maps and those modifier things in online matches yet?
Yes to both, just subscribe to a map and you can choose it in the match options, along with the % of custom maps appearing in the level rotation. Modifiers can also be enabled from the match options, however modifiers are taken into account for matchmaking.
Since no one in the group seems to care about the event, does anyone want to play with me right now? European ducks are preferable, but 'muricans are fine too. ( join the chat here http://steamcommunity.com/groups/facequack to get invited to the lobby ) And if you want, reach me on ts.
just got this game, insanely fun! however I'm not able to launch the game a second time. I played for about 50 minutes, went to make and eat dinner, and now that I'm back I can't launch it. everytime I launch the game, my PC freezes and reboots. there's no ducklog.txt in the game directory either, any idea whats up? googling hasn't found my issue
Do you actually get a bluescreen with a message when the PC restarts? It may or may not be a driver issue, although you did say it played fine for 50 minutes. Check the windows logs, see if there's anything in the errors section.
there was no bluescreen or sound distorting, it'd just freeze, turn black for about a minute, then reboot. I fixed it though, I think it was fullscreen messing with the PC somehow. I just entered -nofullscreen in advanced launch options then enable fullscreen once it has launched, seems to work fine
just encountered a hacker, really didn't expect to meet any of them here. don't understand why you'd want to cheat in this game, all of the fun lies in the fighting itself in my opinion.
