I'm a bit stuck when it comes to ranked. The group of friends I play with like do just play whatever they feel like and very rarely stay as a group and trickle in far too much. Doing solo-q comp makes me want to smash my head in, where situations arise like I'll ask everyone to get into team voice chat and people will respond with like "my group is in discord so no." Well that's all fine and good but when you're communicating with only half of the team that doesn't do us much good. I've never played games before where "Elo hell" would be considered a thing, but god damn I feel like it is in this game.
Playing with friends that I know in real life sucks because my rank is sometimes 10+ higher than theirs, then I drop down a few, solo with randos from global chat to get it back up and yeah. Keeping calm and just pushing forward is the best way to go about competitive, being positive to your friends can also help but it only works if they're willing to listen.
Zenyatta is rapidly becoming my favorite character in this whole game I actually find him calming to play which is incredible, like no joke the dude is so Zen and relaxed I actually feel chill playing the dude But also when you hear JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE and then you activate your tranquility and suddenly Pharahs ult did Fuck all to your team Well that's just the kind of feeling you can't get anywhere else I've got MVP 4 times as Zenyatta. I can't tell if hes OP or if I've found my guy
This is part of why I love Zenyatta, everything he says makes me feel calm and relaxed, it's also why I like S76 because he's good for kinda motivating through yelling about what's going on.
Had my best game as Genji. Can't believe i did it on one life. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ChpMspJ.jpg[/t]
this makes me regret not screencapping the time I went Zenyatta and went 19-0, good job though considering I find personally Genji really tricky to play.
I kind of wish stacking was removed from Quick play as well, but i highly doubt it considering that it's needed to do fun rounds Though is it just me or has everyone forgotten what 6 man 1 hero teams are about? We did a Genji only for the hell of it and the enemy team kept mocking us It's literally just something for fun, not to win :v: Too many people take quick Play a bit too serious You still need to take it a bit serious if you just want to play, but lighten up man
I just had a game in Dorado that we literally could not win. We pushed the payload all the way into the goal, the final checkmark thing turned red and it just didn't end. We had a few instances where we had it on the final pip pushing it forward and it just didn't let us get "victory" Fuck this stupid game sometimes.

Next match from my glitch one teams me up with 3 ana's and a widowmaker on defense. Ah, love this game.
I feel like they balanced this game on the assumption that people can't aim. Ana is fucking broken, her ult is insane, in combination with Reinhardt they can just chain ultis from the first minute to the end. It's stupid.

Solo-Q in ranked isn't helpful to me either because I play support, so there's not a lot I can do to help carry a team to victory when they are all split up in different parts of the map and need healing, or when they trickle in and I don't even get the chance to heal them up. It's very frustrating. You can be the worlds greatest support but if the other 5 people on your team aren't working with you it doesn't amount to much.
I think McCree is pretty well balanced now
I've realized that the visual design to the tutorial map is really fleshed out, and its surprising that they didn't retool/remake the map to make it playable in regular matches.
Yeah Matchmaking on the PS4 is busted. Need to take a break until it's fixed. Like it constantly puts me on teams hundreds of levels below the enemy team. A team of level 20-30's are going to keep getting stomped and the game just isn't fun. Complaining a lot today but seriously fix your shit blizzard

Wait people actually play Overwatch on ps4? Sorry if this isnt the place to ask, but could you add me on there, my one friend stopped playing it so now its boring. My psn is Julio74507.
Sure why not. Also I haven't really played Roadhog much before- gave him a shot and oooeee am I having fun despite the potatos I keep getting. I mean I get offed a lot but I figure that's kind of the Roadhog life. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9A1u1sY.jpg[/t]
Oh come on now
I love global chat
Speaking of usernames, I've been recognized like 5 times in OW. "Aren't you from FP?" "Aren't you that weeb from FP?"
I have been playing shooting games for close to a decade and my aim is still abysmal
I have been playing shooting games for close to a decade and my aim is still abysmal
~17ish years and I'm super inconsistent. I'll have a great game as soldier or lucio getting lots of headshots followed by three in a row where I can't hit squat

Sounds like you guys need to actually practice aiming. And I mean practice. Aim Botz was a fucking Godsent for me in CS:GO. Something like this should definitely help in Overwatch.
The only problem with this is real games will have lag compensation, but yeah it'll help.
The only problem with this is real games will have lag compensation, but yeah it'll help.
If there is one thing I have no problems in this game with, it's actually hitting people. Wonky Roadhog hook aside (which is the opposite problem of being too generous), I've never shot someone and not had it register. It's mostly with stuff like Genji/Tracer dash happening for me and then dying and getting it refunded on my skill bar, trying to go for the point at the last second and it not registering, etc. All movement based stuff.

I don't know if I'd agree with that given some of the hooks I've gotten off.
Are you saying they made Roadhog's hook hitbox too small?? I don't know if I'd agree with that given some of the hooks I've gotten off.
No. I said they made it too generous. That isn't small.
The only problem with this is real games will have lag compensation, but yeah it'll help.
Not true, just tested it out and the Ana's are lagging about. [editline]28th July 2016[/editline]
No. I said they made it too generous. That isn't small.
Oh I see now, I read it wrong.
I actually tried that out and I definitely felt like I was doing better as time went on. Did a 30m skirmish and I think I averaged out by the end at something like 10 headshots a minute, which is waaaaay better than I'd ever get normally. Bots are easier to hit than people obviously but I still feel I got a bit better
Played a game as McCree. Got 4 eliminations Did a 30 minute skirmish for practice Played another game of as McCree. Got 22 eliminations Holy shit it helps
Is anyone else getting d/ced from Battlenet right now
The only problem with this is real games will have lag compensation, but yeah it'll help.
Training mode in this game is still online
I have finally escaped the rank 50s. Generally seem to get less salty people the higher you go.
