Use it in the middle of a fight and the enemy team will either be preoccupied or die shifting focus to the tire.
Also use alternative roads and hidden paths to get to them

posted this not too long ago. The tire is all about either sending it in from somewhere they don't expect it (right behind them) or sending it in from somewhere they can't kill it in time (right from behind a door they're near).
yeah, its always about taking a path the enemy wont expect. Whenever I hear Junkrat say hit line, I always move away from my teammates and start looking around and if the riptire is just on the ground I can usually spot it and try and take it out before it gets to the rest of the team. But when they take it too the higher paths, I generally dont see it coming and they get more kills that way.
Also like Scot said, if its in the middle of a fight and you're just around a corner, if you use it and just round the corner and blow it, they wont have enough time to react.

Riptire is basically like pre-buff D.va ult now except, you're punished even more for using it. Most of the time you're lucky to kill one person because everyone will be spread out enough that you'll never be able to maneuver it into a better position in the one second it has to live after being seen by a single person. And even if thier tracer or Genji doesn't kill you for using it anywhere but spawn, which they almost certainly will, you probably could have better used that time supporting your team and pressuring the enemy. Of course I've had some success doing quickly in the middle of a fight, but even there's a 50% chance I just get killed before the animation even finishes and I don't even get my ult refunded.
You stun yourself for 5-10 seconds, give away your position, its loud, and then you need a very good spot/angle/info or the enemy team needs to be simple for it not to get shot.
Unlike diva, in most situations everything else in your kit is made for doing the exact same thing as riptire, except it has much lower risk.
If you're in a vantage position with good info, and then choose to stun yourself for 5 seconds to use your ult, you really need to get multikills out of it to play even with you raining down grenades.
Diva might lose her mech, but she gets a ranged gun, you can keep running or fighting enemies, you don't lose anything when your ult doesn't pay off, with Junkrat you do.

Lemme just look up the 50 million pre-buff D.va quintuple kills.
Some of these damn Junkrat players, this Junkrat decided to ult near me, he thought I'd be dumb and that I would run away instead, but no, instead I ran at him and jumped behind him and punched him until he died.
Also remember than the Rip-Tire can go up walls.
When rip-tiring, don't think that you're Junkrat throwing a tire at people, think that you're Junkrat getting a small Genji out of his pocket and telling him "go fuck them up"
Can Reinhardt charge Junkrat's tire away from his teammates like he can with D.Va's ult or does he just go right through it?

Probably. Roadhog can hook it.
But you might as well press E and kill it in one hit.
When you get 2+ instalocking genjis on the same team

you might as well just hit it with your fire shot. It one-shots the riptire.
Fire Striking riptires makes me happy when I play Rein, of the sparse times that I do.
I'm not sure it needs a speed or health boost though. My idea was getting infravison while controlling the tire so you can better choose an angle of attack, as well as giving partial refund when immediately shutdown like other classes, less punishing damage falloff for an airburst,
and perhaps the better half of lag compensation.
You cannot pin Junkrat tire with Reinhardt charge. You can kill it with the dmg from charge though if the tire has taken damage.
I still don't get why Dead Eye has a refund. Literally no one else gets that once the ult starts.
It would be cool if you could stuck people with the rip-tire for humiliating kills.
Reaper does if he gets stopped before finishing it.
Speaking of ults.
I wish that when D.Va dies the game would put her back into the mech before spawning, because right now if you die, the passive ult building that you get while dead is useless because it builds up the Recall ult and not the self destruct ult.
Also if you want to tell people that your self destruct is ready when dead, you have to either type it out or wait until you respawn

Try using it and you'll see why. :v:

Junkrats gains ult incredibly fast if you're any good. Faster than most others
Junkrats gains ult incredibly fast if you're any good. Faster than most others
Junkrats ult gains pretty quickly too if you just aim the general direction of where the enemy is supposed to go
It definetly needs to retain ult charge if not used.
76 and Pharah's ult is used and are outputting damage when they are blocked or die.
Junkrats tire does nothing before it explodes. It should act like dead eye, retaining 50 percent ult until exploded.
Junkrat has one of the fastest ult charge rates in the game if you play him right, he absolutely should lose it if the tire dies.
See the problem is Im not mlg pro so this doesnt benefit me
then git gud m8
Let's discuss how we fix all the defensive hero's now for a change

You can very quickly end up with a very shitty one-sided mechanic if you buff it that way, I would rather just have them make the risk of using it a bit lower.
Reduce the initial animation, or let you throw it, that gives it more use-cases and reduces the time you spend controlling the wheel.
I think they should make an adjustment to torbs build rate/repair rate.
