No, teleporters win games everywhere, it's just that it's balanced out by having Symmetra on your team.

YEah but the payload moves for me :v:
I love Torbjorn because i love the Engineer, and I'm sad to see he's shit in the current swing of things. I await the hopeful buff to him. Maybe they can get rid of two bad heroes in one swing, remove Symmetra and give the teleporter to Torbjorn

I'm surprised she isn't picked more, she can easily shut down Reinhardt and Genji simply by holding down her left click.

She's also surprisingly good at killing Zaryas if she gets up close.
But most people would rather have a second healer than trying with a Symmetra.

that's implying they're retarded enough the let the symmetra get right next to them and continue staying alive

Her being able to deal with Reinhardt comes from her penetrating fruit gusher blasts at a distance. Like Winston, they force the Reinhardt to either move away or lower his shield.
As for Genji, a well-placed M2 and dash would kill Symmetra in a split second, but if the Genji in question blows, she wouldn't have to worry about him jumping all over the place like some idiot monkey.

Even if the genji is shit though he could still just dash away from her and laugh as she sits there
I've have a few Genji's try to deflect Symmetra's lasers. they didn't last long to find out how good that works :v:

at that point its basically a panic reaction
Every time someone is talking about that new costume and says "American McCree" I keep thinking "-'s Alice".
I wish more people played Symmetra. As a Zarya player her charged M2s are a free 50 charge!
So, I just got cursed at for using bastion because its not "meta".
God the community is toxic.
muh pro player meta
Keep your meta out of my casual hero based shooter damn it.
I honestly hate how hard blizz pushed for this to be an esport
Man, going past level 100 must be the worst thing I have ever done in this game. Every single game is just a straight up steamroll now. Is matchmaking really based off skill?
Maybe after the summer games end I will take a break. As much as I love it. This game is driving me mad.
Nah that's not it, I've been matched with people in the 300's that were absolute fucking retards

how is overwatch a 'casual hero based shooter'? its pretty obvious from the start, especially with how blizzard has treated hots/hearthstone that they are a big proponent of esports. the game's balance is mostly based around competitive play, and competitive wouldn't exist if they wanted it to be 'casual'. if you want casual, play quick play. as soon as you play competitive, you should expect to play against team compositions and players that want to win. does that give people the right to be a dick to you? not really, but you have to realize that by going into competitive and choosing a hero that doesn't conform to the team comp or the current competitive meta without having another person to back you up, or having a specific plan in mind (like some kind of gimmick play), YOU are the one being a dick. you are bringing the quality of the team down and possibly ruining other people's games.
tl;dr, if you want to play your favorite hero and they're not competitively viable, go play quick play. when you join competitive you should expect to have to play that way
I just bought Overwatch. Having a lot of fun with the heroes, but I can't find one I really like.
That can be a good thing in one way, though. Nothing is more annoying than a "career" player who only plays as one character no matter the situation. It's better to have no favorites and choose accordingly to suit the team.
Though I can't really say much as I have nearly 12 hours playtime as Pharah when the next hero is at about 4 hours :v:

That's what I've been doing, or at least trying to. I'm not too good at reading team composition and knowing what we need, though.

Implying that people still don't scream about the meta even on games that aren't in the competitive format because the competitive side of the game leads all players to believe that the way the hardcore pros play is the "right way"

I am in quick play, I don't play comp :/
So don't call me a cunt you silly bastard. Get off your high horse.

The people you're replying to don't seem like the kind that play Competitive in the first place. :v:
Don't be afraid to use recon mode more because his gun is fairly decent
I dunno what it is but I can headshot galore with his recon mg but if I go play say 76 or mccree I can't hit heads for shit. Something about that gun and how it's spread is long and linear just clicks, its like a slower pulse rifle with a smaller mag but it dinks like fuck.
Also people underestimate bastion in recon mode, pushing up to people spraying and punching never gets old.

then they're the ones being cocksuckers, i agree

holy fuck, it wasn't a personal attack lol, you didn't state that you were playing quickplay, so i assumed you were playing competitive
first off, i didnt call you a cunt, and second off, i dont see how my statement was anything resembling a high horse, all i said was that people shouldnt play competitive if they dont want that kind of environment
also, if your definition of 'toxic' is getting cursed at in an online game, you might need to take a step back. people being dicks isn't the community being 'toxic'. honestly, this game's community is far better than most other online games.

bastion's recon mode rifle has the highest dps of any gun besides his turret mode iirc
Also I love how people who play only ONE character in the entire Overwatch game NEVER talk at all. They never do. They never write. It's really like they are mentally challenged.
Late but this is my first time doing online multiplayer so I'm socially anxious and new so I tend to do this with Reinhardt/76 :v: I do use the emotes and whatnot
He's not entirely wrong, OW feels like its really trying to be a serious competetive team based game.
I think it just gives the air of Casual game due to how many low skill heroes there are in it. The 60 tick and the hitbox update is a good indication that Blizzard wants this to be more of a competetive game.
20 tick rate is pathetic no matter how you look at it, and it's painfully noticeable even in casual play
Nothing feels better than getting shot by Mccrees ultimate while getting into cover at the last moment.

thank god for the tickrate update, it's made the game so much more playable against characters like tracer and lucio that were inherently more powerful due to mobility/speed

or getting killed by dva's ult just as you round the corner into cover
If comp was just koth and payload id play it. Attack/defense maps are awful.
