Djinnyatta. :toot:
What is genuinely wrong with the losers who do nothing but insult their teammates? It's constantly happening, every time it happens I kinda make them mad by alerting the other team that they have turned my teammate into a mess
The best was this terrible Genji who kept verbally attacking other members of the team. I then pointed out that their Genji was absolutely destroying him and he shut up immediately
So glad they're bringing back tiers; I've been raving about it since the start of S1 with whole numbers being so boring imo

They are literally going back to the old competitive system that everyone said was shit but it has a new coat of paint.
Still would have prefered Stop Watch to this Time Bank shit, but this is better at least.
I wonder if loses will give comp points too, what makes losing in comp shit is that even if you had a really fucking close match, you get a rank loss AND no points, just a bigass waste of time.

- You can only party with friends within 500 skill rating of each you.
I understand why they would do this, but it's really stupid that they didn't just tie this to the max reached rank instead.

I consider it a necessary evil. Besides Quickplay always exists.
I think the problem is that you can't drop out of tiers once you reach them, aka if you get a shitty teammate who plays a ton and goes up a tier even though he can't logically compete, you're fucked.
Or is there some type of MMR system that keeps this from happening?
tl;dw (copy pasta from Reddit)
- Ranks are 1-5000 to allow for incremental changes better
- Tiers around skill ratings (About 7 tiers: bronze, silver, gold) cover roughly 500~ skill ratings each
- You can't drop out of certain tiers except the top two (Master and Grand Master)
- End of season rewards based on the tier you reached
- Competitive points are now multiplied by 10, golden guns cost 10x more to accomodate for ties
- Coin toss is going away as well as Sudden Death: Assault maps still use time-bank, but after initial first-round capture of point A will always give a bonus 30 seconds; 2 minutes of bonus time is now 1 minute of bonus time
- Bonus time is granted evenly to both teams now for fair-play.
- Time bank system is coming to payload: if you push all the way and still have time you have the remaining time to try to push as far as you can
- If nobody pushes the cart on payload or if no point A is captured on hybrids, the game ends in a tie.
- Ties award both teams competitive points.
- You can only party with friends within 500 skill rating of each you.
Still no sign of your own performance influencing your skill rating... so it's still winning/losing that matters in the end. Sucks for soloqueues.

Well it was fun while it lasted. Let's hope at least Blizzard steps it up with the fixes and balance instead of waiting weeks just to make a few changes.

You can't drop tiers but you can still lose rank, and I'm pretty sure matchmaking is purely based on rank.

Forcing groups of friends into Quickplay is not a justification to an otherwise easily fixed issue.

How is it easily fixed?
