A shield is not going to block someone from running away or running onto the point, nor is it going to be any use dividing up the enemy team.
Mei's wall is primarily for blocking movement, not bullets.

The wall usually isn't used as protection, it's used to break up the enemy team to give yourself a temporary numbers advantage, prevent enemies from escaping, or block advancement to stall or give your team time to reposition.
Mei's wall is used by double agents on your team to block you from ulting :hammered:

It boils down to the fact that Mei's abilities encourage shitting around going for solo kills instead of helping the team (and there's already characters that do that both well and require some skill). The only ability that really encourages teamplay is really her ult because it can freeze a bunch of enemies in one place, leaving easy pickings for your team-mates.

After I hit 100 hours I allowed myself to pick Mei, so each time I do I ask my team to say when their ults are ready in the event I might accidentally block them.

I'm very surprised that they haven't made Mei's ice block breakable. She really does need a revamp.

She's pretty worthless in combat alone, the way for Mei to actually get kills is to slow people with a friendly Reaper around
Did Blizzard change something to Mei's icewall? I keep sliding off it when I make one beneath myself and it's really messing with my flow. If they did change it so it's nigh impossible to walk ontop of it then Mei's utility is straight up gone...

Each segment of her wall is breakable.
They just have so much health that it's rare to break a segment before the entire wall goes down.

I got the skin that i least wanted of all the genji legendary skins: Young Genji. I mean it's alright and beats some other skins on heroes i have less like for *cough cough widowmaker* but I'd rather have gotten pretty much any other of his legendary skins or carbon fiber.

Man you guys are confusing the hell out of me. Awhile back I posted a highlight of my Symmetra going ham and killing a bunch of dudes and was told "nah that happens all the time and is frequent for Symmetra. It's nothing too special."
