Symmetra also gets significantly less effective as your opponents get better.
Players get better at taking out her turrets. Players get better at finding and destroying her teleporters. Players get better at shooting her in the face no matter how much she jumps around as she holds LMB.
At that point she doesn't really have a whole lot to offer.
OW actulaly has a lot of characters who are pretty much worthless in the current meta.
Like pretty much the entire defense section minus Junkrat, and also throw in symmetra who should be in said category.
Hanzo is so bad now the only times I see him get kills consistently is by killing supports with simple geometry or by walking up to distracted people on a cart

I'll be honest. The only times I used it that patch was when my finger accidentally clicked it, and I never used it on an actual enemy.
i want a hero that moves like a ragdoll from a 2009 garrys mod video and attacks like one to (flailing arms)
their ult would be mic screech which kills everyone on the map and no one can respawn (including friendlies)
There should be a stealth character. When you go invisible you just leave the server. It's like you were never there
I think Blizzard are better off making a stealth [I]themed[/I] character than an actual stealth hero.

Yeah I have no idea what this is about.
But the real reason I dont really like Spy is two things;
-To new players, he's probably the most overpowered class there is. He comes out out of knowhere, kills you in one hit and you have no idea what happened.
-To Good to Competitive players, he's a total joke. He's countered permanently by simple communication, an entire meta of hitting everyone you walk by evolved into the game to make disguises flat out not work. If you do get a kill, it'll only be one before they turn around and kill you, and then they know theres a spy so it wont work again.
You can't really buff him because then new players will hate you, but he needs it because of how ineffectual he is in higher level matches.
He'd fit right in with the lowest tier Ow heroes at 0% pickrate. I'm praying they don't go the invisible + disguise shit for Sombra.

Several of those characters are difficult to buff due to low skill ceilings, ie if you made Mei's freeze fast enough to work in a 1v1 in pro games it'd be completely broken for average players.

Which is exactly what happened with Widowmaker.
I mean I hate mei so much that I don't even want to to be viable, but she's clearly the one of the worst heros in the game.

Spy is only good against more novice players since his intended playstyle can be countered by any class simply by looking behind you often, which made better spies resort to trickstabs or long range Ambassador sniping, both of which ruin the stealth concept of the class.

I dunno, Envyus (the current top Overwatch team) actually busted out Mei in the tournament and made TSM's life hell. They had like no idea how to counter it.

To be fair, Lucio was speed boosting everyone while Mei was slowing everyone down and blocking their escape routes which allowed heavy hitters like Reaper and Reinhardt to catch up easily and annihilate the stragglers.
High rank competitive is full of fucking annoying Tracers and Genjis. Just kill me now.

Thing is EnVyUs absolutely dominates regardless, so it's hard to say whether they won because of Mei or despite Mei. I'm waiting to see King's Row Mei in an even match.

Buff Mei but get rid of the freezing on her gun, then she can be a useful hero without pissing everybody off constantly

EnVyUs is so disgustingly good right now it makes pro Overwatch pointless to watch. They win fucking [I]everything[/I] so it's all good and dandy until the grand finals when it's EnVy vs. whofuckingcarestheyregonnaloseanyway.

Dead ringer is fucking stupid and always has been, but you can still play original spy really well.
