There is no reason to lock all this behind loot boxes. They just wanted more Loot Box cash. What kind of nerve do you have to have to lock sprays and voice lines when they are 25 coins each normally.

Tracers skin may break me into buying a loot box or two if I don't get it by the end of all this. I unlocked Punk awhile back and I'd do anything to even it out somehow.

I wonder if there is enough backlash they'll make everything purchasable with coins. Because it seems like no one is happy with the decision to lock it all behind the loot boxes.

RNG exclusives should go back to hell where they belong.

Only D'Va, Genji, Torbjorn, Mercy, McCree and Widowmaker got recolours, that's 6/22. Add the three heroes that got legendaries and that's still less than half the cast getting new skins with this update. What's really disappointing IMO is all the characters who just got some lame medal victory pose (Mei, Reaper, etc). Apart from Zenyatta's they all look really boring and out of place.

Blizzard has really disappointed me with this. It's not that I probably won't get these skins, it's that all this time I've been praising them and defending them for not doing scummy Korean F2P MMO shit or cancerous TF2 crate stuff. And yet here we are.

A lot of people here bought them because we want to support the game we love. What people are mad about is the fact we all saved up coins to buy some of these summer skins just to be told "lol nope better hope you unbox them!" All they have to do it make them purchasable with coins and most people will be happy. If they REALLY want to get back in people's good graces after that. They can give everyone who bought loot boxes a couple of free boxes.

I just love how the limited loot box has loot thats from the normal boxes. So you can make sure to waste a lot of money and not recieve anything if you're really unlucky.

Those people could then say that they bought what they thought were going to be limited edition exclusive items and skins, but then Blizzard went back on their word and essentially cheated them out of their money. Imagine a guy who spends hundreds of dollars on crates, then a few days later Blizz just says "lol nevermind you can buy them with Overbux". That guy might feel like he's just been scammed.

It's the same system that it has always been with level up get a loot box or pay to speed up the flow of loot boxes. So these people DIDN"T need to buy the boxes but did anyway.

Because you only get a minimum of 1 summer item per crate and you can get duplicates, your chances are getting everything is nearly 0%, and the chance of getting what you actually even want are low too. They could've just not made them box-exclusive and it would've blown over just fine. Make them more expensive in the shop, I don't care.

The backlash of people saying they have been scammed won't even touch the backlash that is forming around having these items locked behind loot boxes with no way to purchase them with coins.
