When a team goes full meme and just stacks, I can't help but end up having a shitload of fun.
Spectated a friend where they all went Roadhog on KotH, and the next round, it was all Reinhardts on the other team.
It was hilarious
Is battlenet down for anyone else? Can't seem to login.
This reminds me of that one time I nano boosted a Symmetra and she almost murdered entire enemy team by herself while I also healed her.
fucking how?
I haven't won a solo queue game in so long, my win rate is steadily declining, save me from this purgatory

When playing defence in a party with friends we usually go Torb squad and we squat on the point like there is no tomorrow and the game turns into tower defence.
fucking how?
She had some turrets set up and she just jumped around while holding left click on every enemy, mind you this was in a Quick game and none of the enemy team had tanks.

At its maximum Symmetra's gun does 120 ticks of damage per second, with the falloff being reset after 3 seconds. Factor in the 50% extra damage from the Nanoboost plus the 30% movement speed increase, which effective makes her move as fast as a passively boost from Lucio. I would imagine the entire team was grouped up and made an easy target.
Has anyone been having some rough matchmaking since the update? I've just had some hopeless games where 1 elimination is gold on my team. Seems super bad atm, at least in quickplay.

They must have been blind too, Symmetra is one of the easiest to kill.
Something tells me that McCree nerf wasn't too effective.
I still consider him miles better than every other DPS hero, He can fight everyone and do everything. His "Tank buster side" is still perfectly viable.
He functions at any range better than the other DPS heroes, who ususally struggle at a specific range.
He doesn't have a hard counter that shuts down his existence like Pharah does.
And then he still functions better at all ranges needed than every other DPS class. He can't snipe any more but its pretty rare for that to actually be needed in OW maps.
that and he can oneshot most of the roster with Zenyatta's Discord orb.

Quickplay is practically unplayable for me unless grinding xp in a really painful manner while losing every game right now, even considering starting to play ranked.

They should give the golden zen orbs a bigger aura or something. You'd think they'd make more of a difference.
the age of 50% damage discord is the age of mccree oneshot headshotting 200hp characters, two headshotting zaryas and making pharah so unpleasant to play that she doesn't even exist in the meta
well then mcree is the problem, not zenyatta, no?

I feel it takes inspiration from it but I'd say more inspiration came from ED-209.

Press H, click on McCree, Continue and you are ready to go.
[sp]Like every other Offense ultimate, use it when the enemy is too busy dealing with other shit[/sp]

If your idea of "easy" is speed boosted 180 unavoidable DPS with 300 effective health and a skinny-ass hitbox, I hope I never run into "hard to kill"
What is FPs opinion on Roadhog? Play him alot, often end up with most eliminations/damage given. Will he get worse on higher levels?

IMO he's the best tank. He can single out weak heroes and 1-shot them by hooking+headshot. He can, if good with his hook, take care of pesky Pharahs and can make a whole team fuck off with his ult. He can self-heal decently. The only drawbacks I see are his huge hitbox and small ammo capacity.

He's fine, his hook is bullshit however and server tick rate also messes with it further, I pulled some many bullshit hooks with him and I was also pulled so many times from weird places and angles it's just insane, every time I see Roadhog I just plain avoid him.
Having a really tough time as genji, it feels like the entire enemy team just focuses me at once and i die instantly. The
Genji Main Skin of Power
Is necessary to play Genji correctly, to the point we could probably accuse Blizzard of using a Pay-2-win model (in the same way using the arctic skin as Zarya raises your power cap to 500%) however, until you acquire it, I can give you some advice.
First of all, Genji's role is simple: he's a flanker\harasser who's really good at being an extremely annoying distraction. This means that you're not supposed to get into long fights, and if something goes wrong you should get the hell outta your position.
Your goal is twofold: kill squishies and harass heavies. You have enough tools to kill a single squishy and get away safely, you have enough tools to fuck around a bit with a tank or something similar and then run away.
If everything goes right, you should get out of an encounter just to find out your abilities are replenished, giving you the chance to dive into the action right away. If something goes wrong, there is no problem in waiting a few seconds.
Ideally, you should always get into a fight with both your abilities. Both Swift Strike and Deflect are at the same time offensive and defensive skills, and the problem is that if you find both to attack, then you cannot retreat. The good news is that Swift Strike recharges on kill (that's a thing I didn't give much importance to when I started playing Genji) which means that you should be very liberal with it, especially when retreating. Don't just retreat using the way nobody is using, retreat through 3 enemies and use deflect to not get killed after striking, and if any of those three gets killed you get your swift strike instantly.
The good thing about Deflect is that it makes one of what would be one of your worst counters much easier to manage: Roadhog. Most Roadhogs are going to throw their hook on sight, and you can simply Deflect to make it useless. Even if they're a bit smarter, Deflect takes less time to engage than the Hook (at a decent distance, at least) so you're gonna get on top. If you get hooked, for the love of god, DO NOT DEFLECT, but strike. Deflect takes a bit to start (which means that you're gonna end up dead in every case) while Strike is instant. If you get hooked, smash that shift button as if it owed you money and with a bit of luck you're going to be free.
Now that I've covered the abilities singularly, let's move to your shurikens. Bad news: they're one of the worst weapons in the game. Good news: they don't need to be good, because they're you've got way more aces up your sleeve.
Mouse 2 cancels into Melee. You can do this pretty much instantly, and it's at least a good 58 damage. Moreover, Melee cancels into Swift Strike. Which brings the combo to a good 108 damage. That's more than half the health of a squishy. Even if you don't have swift strike, simply cancelling Mouse 2 into Melee is a great tool and gives you higher dps than just M2.
Now, there are two scenarios: either you're engaging or cleaning up. If you engage, you should always try and use the time it takes to get into melee range of the enemy to try and deal some chip damage, so that you can finish them with a single combo.
Another combo Genji can use to great effect is cancelling Deflect into Swift Strike. If you couldn't bait your enemy in killing themselves by using Deflect, you can make deflect last as long as possible then swift strike to both displace your position (and their aim) and deal some good damage.
Since Genji is not really good at fighting many enemies, and he's only really efficiently at swiftly killing low health enemies, there is no shame in switching to a different characters if you find that your allies cannot simply put out enough DPS.
Last thing is your ultimate. Your ultimate is great but you're still as weak as usual when using it. So only use it when you are at full health (or close to it). Also, if you use it when you're alone, you'll probably only get 1 pick with it unless the enemy is cramped together.
If you have a Zarya or a Lucio (and obviously you have a Lucio, what kind of statement is that) you should wait for them to ult. Remember to use Swift Strike even more liberally because you're probably going to kill the people you strike so you get free strikes you can use to strike even more people and so on.
Now, for some matchups!
Genji vs Genji: not much to say, except that Deflect (while it can parry melee attacks) does not parry the Dragonblade, so you're as fucked as every other squishy. Good luck!
Genji vs Pharah: Genji can deflect her rockets but he's still very weak to splash damage so this is generally sided in Pharah's side. You can still pick (or at least weaken) a pharah by swift striking her, double jumping + natural swift strike range is enough to reach her almost 100% of the time.
You can try countering her hult by Deflecting, with a bit of luck (and if you stay clear from ground and splash damage) you should be successful. You can also jump stright into her face while deflecting and kill her, that's always fun.
Genji vs. Torbjorn: you can easily destroy his turret at both level with a few shurikens and a deflect.
Genji vs. McCree: McCree has the upper hand, thanks to his flashbang and generally speaking better weapon. Still, you can jump around like a spastic and strike through him to make it difficult for him to land shots. You can deflect his shots (and headshot him back) and you can also deflect his flashbang, unfortunately most good McCrees are going to aim their flashbang over your head or at your feet rather than directly at you.
Genji vs. Bastion: Genji is pretty good at dealing with bastion, he can easily get around him unnoticed and it's easy to triple headshot him when he's in turret form (that blue shiny light behind is back is his head, btw, I didn't know that at first). If he turns to shoot at you just deflect and watch him kill himself.
Genji vs. Reinhardt: your matchup with Rein is better than with other Tanks because your deflect can parry all his melee attacks. You can swift strike through his shield, forcing him either to deal with you (allowing your teammates to kill him) or to not deal with you (in which case you can just throw a few shurikens at him before retreating)
I'm actually a bit disgusted at the absolute nosedive in attitude of quick play. Nobody actually seems to want to win or play even a small semblance of properly, meanwhile the other team is constantly playing like it's the ESL grand finals. I had an Ana holding ultie for a solid four minutes and when I asked for it she looked at me dead in the face, turned around, and ultied our Zenyatta who just stared back at her equally wondering what the fuck she was doing.
Yes, it's quick play, it's not competitive, but that doesn't mean the point of the game is to fucking lose just because it's quick play.
Also don't play him on defense or if there is already a Tracer, one harasser is enough, you need actual dps as well.

An half-robot, half-human, all soldier character
I've been catching up on some old videos and I found out the guy that made Reinhardt's Jet Hammer out of LEGO made Roadhog's Scrap Gun and Winston's Tesla Cannon as well.

I have something to admit. Before going to Ukraine for vacation I've played as Symmetra....while Attacking. Just the heck of it.
[sp]She can be dangerous once you make traps against defending teams with turrets once they are caught off guard or are not present in their territory. Making a teleporter in a place where the opposing team least expects guarantees a huge disadvantage for them and last of all....she can fuck over a Bastion or a turret protected by Reinhardt, once you use a fully charged orb and spam smaller ones, oh and she can also fuck over the Genji if he's attacking the group[/sp]
EDIT: Also is it just me or Lucio can keep his Amped Up Speed boost to himself by bhopping, even if it runs out.
Alright, so there is that sky code right? Normally something like it (A shot code) has only 40 bits of data.
The guys have discovered that the one in the sky is at least 128 bytes. Whatever it's hiding is huge compared to what could normally hide in one.
