This. A good Mei is basically unkillable on certain maps (like King's Row) thanks to her walls allowing her to escape and her self heals.

Yeah I agree. I find Ana really fun to play but if I actually want to win the game I'll play Zen every time, even after her buff. I think one of her main problems is survivability; if I'm playing Zen and someone tries to kill me I just discord orb + headshot and they either die or run away. With Ana even if your grenade is up you're more than likely going to die. Though I have gotten solo kills on tracer a few times which feels pretty good.

If you stay point blank or have players on multiple sides she can't wall you off, and you/your team can position to focus and kill her when she comes out of cryo. If she's overextended or you push her she doesn't have any reliable escape mechanism.

You don't have to try. The skill comes with the skin.

I used to really like playing JR in the first few weeks of the game but now I find him underpowered compared to the other characters, at least in my hands.

I think he's still good on the first point of Dorado. The last patch hurt him on King's Row though, since a D.Va rush will screw you if you're spamming from hotel.

No amount of skill with Mei will avoid the enemy team being on you at some point
EDIT: And if the enemy team is pushing you'll be down a player in a team fight while cryod

That's why in my opinion, you should just stick to quickplay. It's more relaxed, and more fun.
The fact that you get get deranked an entire level by losing 1 game, And gain like 5cm of xp for winning 1 game is just retardation in of itself.
Normally when I play games I almost always do the Ranked mode

But the rewards in comp just don't seem worth it? Like Golden weapons if you win tons of games? I guess the exp is pretty good, but this has ended up being one of the few games I've stuck with the "casual" mode

That happened to me, I also got matched against some level 60s and 70s just a match ago, still dropped 40 kills and got PoTG so whatever.
You know if every game I played wasn't an absolute stomp in favor of the enemy team that would be [i]great[/i].

Practice + Experience = Skill.
If sheer time played is 20 hours vs. 200 hour, you can damn well make a safe bet on the guy with more play time being better.
