So I'm working on a Fallout 4 music video of sorts with the song "Cold Blows The Wind" By Ween, and I've been splicing together footage in a semi-story style video. Now, please be aware this is WIP and not finalized, I'm already going to work on adding up variety in the walking cycle backdrops near the start of the video, and the finished product will be rendered in 1080, 60fps. This post is merely for criticism and possible suggestions to add. [NOTE: THE LAST MINUTE IS JUST MUSIC, DIDN'T EDIT IT OUT] http://puu.sh/qo2Us/5c420157f2.mp4 Thoughts?
Are there any quest mods for Fallout 4 that are worth it yet? Ive found a few that look promosing but since Im already using a lot of mods, Im afraid theyll just bloat my save
holy shit where can i download the japanese localization i want the raiders to deliver some jojo tier ORAs
You can do it from your steam copy. Switch the language in steam's settings for the game, backup the .b2a files somewhere, switch it back to English and overwrite all the voice files with the .b2a files you backed up. This way you'll get jap voices in an otherwise fully English game.

Anyone know what causes power armor in Fo4 to muffle the player and npc voices when the helmet is worn? Like is it a script or just some mundane sounding flag off to the side?
The vault tec DLC was a huge miss for me. I'm almost at my build limit and all Ive got is a perpetually dark atrium with two market stalls and an overseers office. besides the overseer, nobody is ever around because the npcs prefer to cluster outside of the walls in one of the collapsed railway tunnels. When I try to carry out experiments, the guy just goes to the aforementioned tunnel and stands around. I didn't even enjoy building with the new pieces, because of the way they work. unlike with building shacks there are only so many possible configurations that actually work in the space provided and they tend to be the most basic and boring ones. Wasn't enough to get me playing fallout 4 again. Bring on that final story DLC.

Of course, I set about trying to recreate Vault 13, which has been an interesting challenge. Some of it is easy to build, some of it is impossible, and some I had to discover a few interesting build tricks to get things where they ought to be. Centering door frames in two-square-wide halls has been the big one, and I've kinda eager to just build my own design now, using all the style types and layout tricks I've picked up doing it.

So is there a way to fix that head crippled perception glitch without rolling dice at getting shot in the head repeatedly on survival mode?
If you haven't found the answer to this yet, it's hardcoded.
Well shit, there goes applying the effect to other pieces of armor
Like, I get that they're sexy, but how does legit everything even remotely sexual get on the front page, even if they're awful? Like a ton of them are atrociously made
this isn't really an explanation, but people looking to get off to games generally aren't known for their extraordinarily high standards. it's not a problem unique to Nexus by any stretch of the word.
m150 strikes again http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17084/? [thumb]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/17084-2-1470217709.jpg[/thumb] :v:
Considering Fallout's a series where you can shoot up all sorts of drugs, the lack of tobacco has left me wondering if the ESRB actually bans tobacco as some form of beneficial item for the player. After all, Bethesda had to rename all the drugs to fake counterparts in 3 to avoid troubles with rating, so it doesn't seem out of the question that the ESRB would push this kind of agenda via ratings as well.
ESRB, PEGI, CB, CERO, whatever, they all have the same similar standards for ratings. PEGI in particular has criteria for pretty much anything questionable you can find in a game, from nudity to defense against defenseless people to use of harmful substances. New Vegas was even classified as teaching/encouraging gambling. I didn't think of Bioshock, which does give you a benefit (at the cost of health). I guess it's not present at all to avoid stirring up shit to begin with with PEGI/ESRB or any other organization that may cause trouble. Seems plausible since there's such a crackdown on the depiction of smoking in movies already (good luck getting a rating under R in the US if there's even a single lit cigarette).
M is literally as high as you can go without getting AO, which is typically a death sentence as far as publishing your game goes (not until you remove the controversial material and tone things down so ESRB lowers the rating to M). And the only way to get AO is to have explicit sex - unless of course you piss off people who happen to have an agenda against you, in which case you get a situation like Manhunt 2 which got an AO rating solely for its overwhelming amounts of violence (despite AO being ostensibly designed for sex games, not for violence). The former situation is why I'm convinced stuff like smoking is scrutinized by rating organisms and to a greater extent by the developers/publishers themselves. There's plenty of groups which lobby against the depiction of smoking in any media, especially those marketed or played by minors (even when it's not directly marketed towards them, or when the ESRB/PEGI officially disclose the game as not for minors), and there has been lobbying from them regarding this depiction in video games specifically. [editline]4th August 2016[/editline] There's also the fact that Bethesda's already censoring themselves with children being fully immortal, so it's not out of the question they wouldn't put smoking for the player in to prevent any more controversy.
nah
