I feel like an island would be an easier starting point to learn.
Something small like PEI or Kodiak

Welp, I decided to try and import the state of Oregon into the New Vegas engine. Might as well while the SRTM Tile Grabber still exists.
It's really rough, but you can only do so much with little to no documentation. But even if I had generated a smoother worldspace, the results would ultimately be mere guidelines. In the end I'd still have to edit large chunks of it by hand in GECK when I'm placing down towns, roads, etc.
Doesn't look too bad, just have to smooth out the cliffs. While working on my worldspace I had to extensively edit the landscape though, especially when creating all of these cliffs.

I imported Ireland. Took me less than 15 minutes. Time to build some shit there I guess.
place a giant luck bobblehead at the centre of the island
make sure it's visible on the horizon no matter where you are
i think i might have an idea which mod is causing the font change based on removal of said font

Shouldn't be too hard to edit that to use DarnUI fonts instead or something

it's the potato famine for america all over again
Been playing with Vault-Tec workshop a shitload since it came out and I've only just realized you can build additional cog doors.
The settlement menu is about as intuitive as a 6 year olds guide to mortgages.
This armor looks dope in the preview, but something seems off about it ingame. I think it's either the pose, or being able to see the face in the visor:

Starting to actually add FO4 mods now, what's that inventory mod everyone uses?
I started playing New Vegas again recently and Fallout 4 has cursed me with picking up junk which is absolutely useless in this game.
Haha I've been doing the same thing, made a nice profit off fission batteries I guess

Yeah, it's partly the pose, but it looks like the gloss/spec is wierd. Then again, the whole image looks like that so it might be the ENB.
Being able to see face killed it for me

Looks cooler with the tinted visor
Is there a mod that repairs the houses in sanctuary that isn't broken to shit.
The nexus really needs a massive cleanup of pre-Geck mods imo, So many are abandoned and broken.
I use this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8610/?
you have to 'repair' the houses and bridge using parts, but it makes everything look so much better.
I think that's what he is talking about. That one caused me so many issues

Like everyone else apparently, I'm doing a worldspace for the shits and giggles. Since I don't seem to have the terrain LODs working/draw distance is fucking me, here's the only structure I've actually done in the thing. Think I'm gradually getting the hang of this whole creation kit bollocks.
How do you unlock the vault building stuff for use at other settlements than vault 88? I know it's possible because in that bethesda stream they had stuff at spectacle island.

You just have to get past the first experiment I think? Takes like five minutes honestly
First experiment after the bike or? Cuz I did the bike and nadda
Started re-playing TTW, such a good combo. FO3's exploration is pretty fun and NV has such a great story and side stories and world and etc.

I like helmets where you can see the wearer's face, but there should at least be an opaque variant.
I think you have to beat the quest line, no idea

Anyone have a link to that mod that was supposed to help fix the settlers' inability to go up stairs or do anything above the first floor?

DEF_UI plus one of the sorting mods it lists as compatible (I use Valdacils because it's the same author)

A few parts of DEF_UI are going to break when Nuka World comes out, though. Bethesda updated a few of the files in the 1.7 patch, and nobody has taken up the job of updating the files yet. The biggest problem I know of is with the HUD, because it's going to be missing the compass icons, though there could be problems in the barter and workshop menus too.

It's going to suck in ES6 whenever it's gone again because there's no way they'll go "you're the dragonborn again and there's dragons again"

As much as it would fuck the lore and be stupid, I would be totally okay with them making my loverslab playthrough canon and thus making dragonborns common.
The problem at that point would be dragon souls, though.
I'm sure they'll come up with something equally cool. I at least hope they will. Always psyched for future Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, despite Bethesda making a lot of dumb moves now and then.
