It's going to suck in ES6 whenever it's gone again because there's no way they'll go "you're the dragonborn again and there's dragons again"
They can always replace it with equally cool mechanics. Thanks to Kirkbride there's a ton of stuff in the lore related to sound/speaking/singing since he's so kin on Synesthesia.
Nuka World Stuff https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/4x3k85/nukaworld_spoilers_datamined_information_on_the/?st=irpkxpbz&sh=9122e2d7 Looks interesting.
Anyone have a link to that mod that was supposed to help fix the settlers' inability to go up stairs or do anything above the first floor?
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15608/?
with all you guys posting landmass stuff, on a scale of 1 to 10, how hard would you say it is to learn the geck and use the map maker?
with all you guys posting landmass stuff, on a scale of 1 to 10, how hard would you say it is to learn the geck and use the map maker?
i'd say its more time consuming than it is difficult to do. though im pretty sure most of this stuff is being made on the previous fallout games. trying to edit anything in FO4's CK, especially when its outside a cell can be a nightmare (for me at least) because of how much memory it takes and how unoptimized it is.
It's easier than Valve Hammer Editor when it comes to creating locations and modifying the landscape by hand. Moving the camera is shitty unless you use fly cam, though. I don't remember if it's unbound by default, but I bound it to the letter Ö. Importing heightmaps into the game is just a colossal pain in the ass, however. Took me a few hours before I finally found and wrote down the right settings for making a .bmp file that produces something comprehensible when thrown into TESAnnwyn. I'd say it's a 5 out of 10.
What are the steps for importing a height map into the GECK? I tried making a map with lunar terrain, but everything I found was super outdated, and gave up after hours of trying a bunch of different applications and whatnot.
Dungeon creation is probably the most simple, but only on the condition that you don't try anything too creative. Everything's made up of tilesets that fit only in specific ways. This means that linearly throwing shit together on a grid works great, but if trying to do any kind of creative (or even just non-creative but very specific) map design, it sucks. You're either going to have to find a stupid fucking work around and use tilesets in an asinine fashion or fill the map up with filler bits to hide the seams. In most cases though that won't normally work at all and you have to start over. I've spent so much time making a dungeon with a specific look only to find out that the tileset I'm using (and in fact all tilesets) do not support the kind of dungeon I want to make because the developers just didn't feel like making a 4-way intersection piece or didn't want balcony pieces transitioning into interior bridges. Map layouts get built around art assets in the GECK, not the other way around. Never tried outdoor stuff but it's probably much better minus worldspace creation.
I'm having so much trouble making a good settlement with the vault parts, nothing ever turns out quite right.
I really want to be able to make settlements in New Vegas now for some reasons, or Fo3.

F4SE's updated to the current runtime (1.7.10). Also, I downloaded a dismemberment overhaul mod for shits and giggles- [t]http://i.imgur.com/sVpk8YH.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/EpzLRD6.jpg[/t] This poor Gunner thought he could win against my Synth-settler factory island settlement. He thought wrong. He just butt-scooched along until I put him down with my Deliverer. :v: A similar thing happened when I was helping a Minuteman patrol protect a checkpoint in-between 2 settlements- I shot a ghoul attacking one of them with my explosive-ammo rifle, and the blast tore off the arms of one of the Minutemen, causing him to literally sprint away into the sunset.
This armor looks dope in the preview, but something seems off about it ingame. I think it's either the pose, or being able to see the face in the visor: [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/17247-0-1470711355.jpg[/t]
One issue (and one I've seen a few other mods also have, like the F2 Combat Armor) seems to be scaling deformities caused by being over-armor pieces instead of an independent outfit. [editline]woop[/editline] To that end, visor and textures aside, it looks better on a skinny character like in the user images.
It's going to suck in ES6 whenever it's gone again because there's no way they'll go "you're the dragonborn again and there's dragons again"
It is possible for normal people to learn how to Thu'um, so they could always make a "cult of the dragonborn" or greybeards guild quest line that unlocks a little bit of shouting for the player.

I think it's the pauldrons. pauldrons have never been good in bethbryo games

Still haven't fixed my "2 frame" bug. I happens consistently every time I try to approach Vault 3 around the El Rey Motel when coming out of Camp McCarran. This time it happened when on the bridge. I still have no idea what's causing it.
F4SE got updated, yeah! Speaking of which, did the recent small update break any mods? Like "Place Everywhere" or some other? Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to try that out by launching the game.
I hate how every piece of clothing that can accept ballistic weave and have armor worn over it makes the armor look all puffy and bloated.
doesn't help that wearing large heavy armor from any set besides the synth set makes you look stupid with the normal standing pose. npc's have a different set of animations from the player, and they seem to look a lot more realistic than the players. its also why they look a lot better with those armors
I really want to be able to make settlements in New Vegas now for some reasons, or Fo3.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas both had settlement mods, however I'm not sure how far they got. I remember the FO3 one being really cool when I first tried it.
To the guy who made the really nice magnum fuck huge rifle; What's the worst/stupid/dumb/ post you have got off the nexus? Have you had any of those really cringy replies where they post a picture and they are all like "-character name- SAYS THANKS!"
[t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/17247-0-1470711355.jpg[/t]
rip peripheral vision

[editline]11th August 2016[/editline] So the guy who did that middle finger grenade throw replacement did a generic reload clipping animation fix. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17299/? Dunno if it'll be worth it Rizzler but maybe throw him a message on nexus and see if he can do anything for that magnum rifle of yours, he certainly knows how to make custom animations and explains how to do it per weapon.
I'm making things v:smile:v [t]http://i.imgur.com/dIs99z9.jpg[/t]
