Moving swiftly on, I'm actually reinstalling New Vegas right now and need some mods to go along with it. No huge overhauls like Project Nevada, just specialized, self-contained mods.

I just started playing Survival so I don't have that many resources.
You can still scrap right? Or have you not rescued Preston yet?
I just started playing Survival so I don't have that many resources.
Literally just make the simplest water pump, find as many empty bottles as you can, and fill them all up. You get purified water and you can drink directly from the source as well.
Idk but water resources will send bottles of pure to your shop
[editline]13th August 2016[/editline]
Wait you can fill empty bottles?
[editline]13th August 2016[/editline]
Tbh I have so many pure bottles I use them more than stimpaks
I also sell them constantly for mad caps

PushTheWinButton's got some good semi-overhaul tweak mods that feel very close to vanilla like JSawyer Ultimate Edition and Simple Reputation.
Cirosans Classic Overhaul also got some good lightweight modular bits like it's Follower Tweaks, where followers basically deal half the damage and take half the damage.
Realistic Wasteland Lighting Enhancement is also the best weather mod out there and fixes up the lighting. NMC's texture pack is also worth getting even if you are downloading the low vanilla-res textures just because it improves the color of things a little more (imo).
You can refill bottles in Survival mode, and water pumps give unlimited supplies of pure water. It's actually fairly broken how it completely invalidates thirst as long as you carry enough of them.
That and from a fresh start from a vault, you can find around 8 or so beer bottles and fill them with purified water. This little stash goes a long way when just starting a new game.

In sanctuary? Cause I'm pretty sure I never found any empty bottles
In sanctuary? Cause I'm pretty sure I never found any empty bottles
There's quite a lot of beer bottles in vault 111. It's a good idea to grab them all and fill them at a sink since it's all purified.

The naming conventions are a bit confusing when it comes to bottles. Empty milk bottles are the only bottle to have this adjective. Otherwise, any beverage that ends with "bottle" is actually an empty recipient (the full items are just called by their beverage).
They're really common, they're just very easy to mix up with full alcohol because of the weird as fuck naming of the items.
Rudy rates me stupid shit every passing occasion he's got and there's people who enable him by following him on his rating streaks. Best to just ignore it, I could just make an entire post that's nothing but "new vegas" with no further context or information and you'd see Rudy putting up a funny or a dumb rating, hoping someone else would get onboard and follow up.
He also doesn't really post anymore because he's finally realised he'll just keep getting himself banned for shit posting again, and also because he won't be able to spam ratings everywhere if he's perma'd.
anyone remember the name of that new vegas mod that connected the strip into one map and generally improved the game?
is there something similar to CaliberX from 3 and NV and doesn't require Far Harbor to use?

Strip Uncut?

After a while my bottles stopped showing up at my workshop bench, for some reason. :(

Can't wait for MCM to come out for FO4 though, getting tired of all these holotape configs in my inventory.
o lordy
Assuming that's if you've been kicked out the ncr?
Check it out, I'm working on adding in some form of "realistic" bullet travel time to FO4:

It's a bit exaggerated but having to lead your shots makes it a lot more fun to snipe fools at longer distances. There might even be a way to add in some gravity to the projectile which I'll have to fuck around with.
Haven't tested how it affects AI shooting at you yet though, maybe it'll also inadvertently fix the ridiculously accurate long distance engagements?

There's another mod similar to this (though abandoned) called Weapons of Fate that managed to get different speeds per bullet and gravity; could look at how he did it.
[sp]if you make this but with similar visible tracer effects to vanilla i will love you forever[/sp]

Maybe I'll take a peek. The plan was to just eventually redo all the vanilla ammo/projectiles with different speeds and drop, but I'll look into doing some neat tracer effects as well. I assume you mean like the wispy smoke trail from vanilla right?
It feels so satisfying to lead your shots just right, will be super neat with some gravity effects in play too

Actually, having a look at Weapons of Fate, that already seems to do everything I had planned on doing with this lol
Is automatron worth 10 bucks? It sounds cute and all but I feel like that's a bit steep.
imo I don't think any of them are worth it for individual price. Id go SPASS hopefully with a coupon or sale
Automatron's robot customization and creator is nice though

do you happen to have some russian in your blood by chance?
Isn't Weapons of Fate also pre-CK? It's kind of scary how well-implemented it was, albeit with framerate lag the delay in bullets could be a bit obnoxious.
It really bugs me how dirty the Minutemen Generals outfit is.
Probably the coolest outfit in the game but the complete covering with mud splatter really detracts from it.

Yes I know there is a mod.But still.

I like the mud splatter. Makes it look as second-hand as it is.

Actually, I'm not even sure if I need that mod..
Why do you need that mod?
