I forgot it had that DT modifier in NV, I had it pegged as an armor piercing round in the back of my mind but couldn't figure out why.
I mean technically 308 win and 50 bmg have around the same muzzle velocity, but the fiddy carries a lot more weight and therefore a lot more energy through its trajectory. I kinda imagine the 5mm to be some sort of high velocity (for it's low weight) armor piercing round, like the 5.7x28 or something. Which is why the 308-esque model throws me off

Am I the only person here to play the game practically Vanilla because having to constantly update the mods and all the framework around it is an inconvenient that far outweighs the benefits of modding ?

That shouldn't be anything to worry about. Generally, DLC releases don't include a patch that requires the game's exe file to be changed. Bethesda normally release a patch that supports the next DLC(s) a while in advance, and that's when they edit the exe file.
In this case, Bethesda added support for Nuka-World in 1.6 and 1.7, so we shouldn't get any more patches until after Nuka-World comes out, unless something comes up that they have to patch between now and then.
I wonder if the new SCAV magazines will be procedurally generated and we'll have like 87 bazillion of them.

I had the same thing kinda happen with that fight between Travis and the paid goons, Travis accidentally hit a random person in the Dugout Inn, and everyone turned on him.
