I'm not arguing I'm just pointing out that it's different

Facepunch got any resident beta players btw
can we place them in settlements
You know, I never checked. I haven't been looking for Blueprints either.
If you're in the beta is there any sign of the raider ending existing
When I saw there were over 100 new posts I knew there was some ridiculous conversation or other, but man did I underestimate how ridiculous. I figured it was just more stuff about X-01 armor.
And before anyone discounts the canonicity of random joke encounters, remember that's how aliens started in Fallout, and look where we are now. In Bethesda all things are possible.
I haven't looked.
Probably unlikely, doesn't sound like something Beth would do.
I mean that one DLC in FO3 changed a bit relating to the ending but idk, you might be right
You got a point there.

Which has always and will remain the scariest part of Beth having the Fallout IP.
no fun allowed
no fun allowed
i just like my IPs consistent with the original creators vision, i guess.
i wasn't the only one who found the alien DLC in fallout 3 kind of ill-fitting.
keep on handing out those dumb ratings though, people will eventually learn to agree with you that way.

"original creators vision"
You started in the modern world, you were thrown back in time, you killed the monkey that would evolve into modern humans, you went through space, you went to the future which was ruled by dinosaurs, you were then exiled to a fantasy planet where magic took you back through the timeline, and then you came back to the modern world to save your girlfriend.

Sure enough, Cain and his team scrapped the idea. However, they held on to the extra-terrestrial theme for their next pass. That concept saw aliens invade earth and conquer all but one its cities. The game's hero would then venture out of this safe zone to fight back.
Sounds like they're following the original vision, (or at least the second one after his peers said its bad) close enough :v:
But none of that happened, so it was in the vision of the original games.
He said creator though.
[editline]17th August 2016[/editline]
Even if he said game those games had the aliens in them too

I better be careful if I ever become an artist or creator of any kind - future companies might buy my IP and implement all my terrible scrapped ideas. That would be awful.
They didn't though, they just used the aliens that were already in the final products of those games. They didn't make it all about aliens and planets and dinosaurs and shit

I feel almost scared to point out that the aliens in the original games were originally easter eggs, too.
Luckily that conversation has been had a thousand times before.
also Cain enjoyed both FO3 and FNV so
edit:
If I were to compare the two games, I would say that Fallout New Vegas felt like it captured the humor and style of the Fallout universe better than Fallout 3, but I have to hand it to the FO3 designers for developing VATS
I guess he doesn't hate fun either. He also said his one complaint with FO3 was the ending having no meaningful choices and a lack of slides for places like Megaton
Well I walked in on an internet fight about time travel in fallout
Fun.:quotes:
also Cain enjoyed both FO3 and FNV so
cool me too
(that's just about as relevant as cain enjoying it btw)
Cain is the original creator you're talking about
Cain is the original creator you're talking about
He is one of the creators, I am aware. Cain liking what Beth has done with the IP doesn't exactly mean that suddenly the new games align to the vision of the original titles. I think even the most hardcore Fallout 3, NV and 4 fan can agree that they miss the mark the originals were trying to meet.

I get the impression you actually think I hate fun and that's hilarious.
Just a little fun thing that's not too spoiler-y:
[sp]in dry rock gulch you can have a quickdraw match against a protectron wearing a cowboy hat.[/sp]
Considering you've led a multi posted rage fest about Beth daring to do something silly, that impression doesn't seem far off.

I'm sorry, but explaining to someone that Fallout doesn't actually feature time travel in it's story isn't a "multi posted rage fest."
Or are you referring to the last 5 or so posts about the aliens? Because that didn't seem awfully rage induced either.
[sp]Primm slim[/sp]
[sp]speaking of cowboys what happened to that model of robot from NV that Mr House's bots are? Why aren't they in fo4?[/sp]
I hope we find the founder of Nuka World's head frozen and stored inside of the equivalent of Splash Mountain.

Because House Industries was the only manufacturer. [sp]Not counting Big MT[/sp]
Its a pretty significant plot point in the game too.
Oh right, I guess that makes sense. Maybe a mod?

They were pretty cool, I really like the ending with [sp]taking over on your own with them[/sp]
