[QUOTE=Nemisis116;50939333]All this talk of multiple characters and I just hit level 100 [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ky30yYD.png[/t]
I've got so many perks its ridiculous, I have a 500+ damage super sledge which can do a 10x sneak bonus, RIP literally anything in 1 hit[/QUOTE]
what's your secret?
did you just do some crazy XP-hauling build from the beginning and do as many factions as possible before you had to choose or do you have some XP-farming technique?

Or maybe they're just rocking a single character and have been since release, mine's only just hit 108 in nuka world.
I never made it past lvl 15. Hell I haven't made it past lvl 10 on my survival character.
[QUOTE=Bat-shit;50939662]So you got sledgehanmer and probably a power armor yet, you resort to sneaking? Is it part of your roleplay or what?
I just never sneak, not without getting constantly spotted anyway because frankly any sneaking related skills and perks my Donald Trump has are non-existent. And I like it that way thank you very much. :v:[/QUOTE]
My sneak is so high I can do it while standing up and walking, I just crouch once then use VATS to teleport to whoever I want dead in 1 swing, or pinball around the room because I have a shitload of AP

This sounds fantastic

Was there a mod that enabled/increased killmoves for melee weapons outside of VATS? I love the killmoves but I never see them.

Oh awesome, is there a mod that increases the frequency as well?
I'm really happy with how my game looks now

Kinda makes me wonder if foliage could even survive suddenly getting nuked with radiation at all. Take a look at Chernobyl for example where foliage is still live after 30 years. Surely it's an entirely different thing as the radiation there increased overtime, compared to a sudden nuclear blast as seen in Fallout 4 for example.

If I recall correctly in the fallout 3 artbook they said they researched the topic and realistically the vegetation would come back as usual within far less than a hundred years, let alone two centuries.
They pretty much just disregard that to favor a more exaggerated visual approach since it's more striking and conveys the intended themes better.
Definitely different delivery system, as well as a different type and volume of radioactive material.
i think we've talked about how nukes in Fallout were most likely cobalt bombs, theoretical warheads that have never been built or tested, giving the artists free reign to interpret the effects of such bombs. The Chernobyl comparison is only valid in that surrounding foliage and fauna have been mutated by radioactive exposure, but the methods are dissimilar and the intensity is on another scale.
[editline]24th August 2016[/editline]
Bethesda just wants the look of a dead wasteland. The art book says as much, that: (paraphrasing) "nothing green should be growing that isn't mutated by radiation."

My goal was to make it look more natural, since it did always bother me that everything looks so dead after so long. I wanted to get that one mod that makes everything super overgrown too, but it seems to have been removed for whatever reason.
Heres a few more screenshots because Im feeling ~artistic~

Those pictures make me think that it would be neat to see a sizable and dense Wasteland forest environment.

oh man the game should have looked like this
I'm not usually a fan of those greenification mods but that actually looks pretty good.
I greatly prefer overgrown wastelands to blasted ones. but most mods that add greenery just look like everything has been smeared in green play dough. That one looks nice tho.
Its a combination of Season-Summer with Grasslands-Healthy over top of it

don't mean to be a bother, but when it's finished, can you put it on consoles; it's bad enough as it is there's next to no mods that add more customization for automatron.

I intended to. Making an option for each color is taking up most of my time right now since I have to have 2 models for every color: the light cone and every head option (for the interior glow). I'll probably also end up doing the protection heads too. Also, everything I'm doing right now is being done kind of sloppily just to see how to get everything to work. Once I know what I'm doing, I'll have to go back and tidy everything up.
Personally I don't care where the next Fallout game is set, so long as it's made by Obsidian in the current engine, I'll be fine.
New Orleans would be nice, would love to see a take on Lakelurks being actual Snapping Turtles instead of "whatever-they-are-in-New-Vegas". Also Mantis Shrimps pls
Ahahaha I love the power attack take-down's so much
I sprinted all the way up to the top of this lighthouse to kill a sniper with my pole-hook, and immediately as I burst from the door at the top, with absolutely no struggle, I just grabbed him by the ankle, and threw him right off the fucking thing.

I think it looks a bit silly within the confines of the Fallout universe because you have all of these horribly mutated creatures and disgusting, filth-engulfed insane weirdos walking among beautiful greenery.
It would definitely look more at home in a more mild universe where people don't literally turn into melting zombies when they get exposed to radiation. That, or a universe like TLOU where the zombie shit is mostly kept to secluded locations and most of the world was ultimately unaffected.
I've always had the opinion that foliage mods look better when the vegetation added is less healthy.
A sort of middle-ground somewhere between beautiful and verdant and completely devastated is what I prefer.
[editline]boop[/editline]
Like the "dead" setting for the old F3 flora overhaul, more or less.

Im a big fan of STALKER so it doesnt really bother me all that much. You're right that it doesn't quite fit the Fallout Universe, but I just prefer the look of greenery compared to how the world looks in Vanilla. I personally like the juxtaposition the green adds; that the world has, for the most part, healed and is back to the way it was before, but everything living on it is irreversibly scarred and can never heal and return back to the way it once was.
I know that kind of goes against the themes of FO2 and NV, but the idea of the east coast has always been its a bit more broken and stuck in the past than the west coast and I just personally enjoy this idea.
[editline]24th August 2016[/editline]
that honestly works on another level too, because the entire west coast is a blasted wasteland but the people have managed to rebuild civilization and move on.
[QUOTE=Ganerumo;50938818]If there's going to be this much effort put professionally into it then I'd much rather just see a new game be made than the same thing again.[/QUOTE]
At the very, very least I'd expect a remake like the Gamecube version of Resident Evil where they add and change a whole fuckton of stuff.
Imagine if there was an actual reason to do a Legion run aside from "well, it's there."
[editline]a[/editline]
But yeah I'd prefer a new game. I'm up for dropping the cash on a New Vegas remaster if they release one, but that doesn't change the fact that I've done more than enough playthroughs of the game.

I'd like to contribute to this pipe dream by wishing they'd add in the cut the Legion controlled Arizona world map
It'd give them so much more depth to see how their regime actually worked, pushing back raiders and creating a truly safe place in the wasteland, but all the while a big 'But at what cost' vibe covering the area as you see the slave labor and barbaric punishments
