I'm thinking they will use the improvements of Automatron somehow but to the raiders, let you walk around with a bunch of customizable raider 'companions' just doing shit all around. Not honestly interested in this part of the DLC for feeling so different than the rest of the game but its nice to have the option; guess i'm more excited about a new and bigger worldspace to do stuff around anyway. Far Harbour was nice.

a full new faction is exactly what I was hoping for, Bit optimistic imo, seems like a lot to expect from a DLC these days but id be incredibly happy to be proven wrong about that.

That's cute and all but it doesn't really fit the art direction of the game when it comes to houses and such. It's more effort than just making prewar house kits but at the same time I think there could have been more effort to make these feel more cohesive.

I think this looks amazing.
Sure it doesn't fit in with the more enhanced retro futurist artstyle fallout 4 has going on, but considering all of the pre-war structures look like they were assembled by teams of robots with access to space age materials- whereas you are building these by hand with lumber, bricks, and the help of any settlers that are tired of living in leaky shacks; I think that's to be expected. everything looks a little bit thin and flat though.

I started a new game without any settlement mods because I knew not only they wouldn't be compatible with shit but also i'd have to download like 3 new patches with every workshop dlc that comes out
At this point I'm just waiting for all the DLC to be out and for the game to be finalized in a stable version. Short modded runs are fun and all but all it takes is one update or one DLC to come out and invalidate my mods to make the whole run go to shit and become unusable, so I've become fairly tired of that and now I'm just patiently waiting for Bethesda to release all of the DLC features, and start modding here and then.
I haven't even fully finished the game in 350 hours of gameplay. I really need to get that sorted out before I start using industrial amounts of mods.

I feel like it would take some sick modelling skills to make a plasmacaster look good in Fallout 4's art style.

So, apparently Bethesda almost implemented red letters for the marquee sign, but cut them at the last minute (and only cut 6 of the files). Unfortunately, it's obvious why they cut it. When you power the marquee sign at night, the red of the letters don't show up, making them pretty useless. And when you make the red brighter, it does show up when powered, but they look too bright and out of place during the day. Maybe someone other than me could work out a better way to set it up, though I'm not sure how.
Still, I found out that you can use formlists for the crafting records, so that would simplify setting up lots of the same/similar items to be crafted!

But the problem is the DLC really, big mods add independent menus that don't conflict with anything, specially with the keyword limit increase.

Alright, good news, I got the dynamic adding to leveled lists to work. I've got to say, this papyrus rabbit hole goes really deep. I think I've ever downloaded so many tools to make one mod.
Anyway, following the Chinese assault rifle mod, I seem to be nearing the end of my main roadmap. I just need to finish tweaking the textures, figure out some weirdness with mods that the guns sometimes (don't) spawn with, and continue to tweak out the ironsight placement.
I still have no anwser for the wildly inconsistent barrel attachments - sometimes the muzzleflash shoots out the front of the barrel, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you can edit the muzzles, sometimes you can't. If it were consistent the I'd at leas have a baseline, but this is infuriating.
