I kinda want to playthrough Skyrim again, but knowing the better version is coming out later this year, I kinda don't.

And the plasmacaster is also broken ingame too since it's literally a remodeled gatling laser. It still shoots lasers. Not too appealing.
Would be fun to have a makeshift plasma launcher that literally just fires the full plasma canister as an improvised grenade.

I just started Fallout 2, and if you got bored in the beginning or got a headache, PLEASE get the unofficial patch and just get past the tutorial. The game gets really fun and enjoyable after that.
Has anyone found a solid spawn point for the travelling leather coat in Fallout 4? I can't find it anywhere, I've only seen it once in my previous playthrough; now I'm playing on survival mode on my second playthrough and I still can't find it.

Yeah but since they also said that some mods will still work with this version, the current version just seems shit, since at the moment I have to install an ENB to get what they're adding.
Yeah but since they also said that some mods will still work with this version, the current version just seems shit, since at the moment I have to install an ENB to get what they're adding.
yeah but that's free and not a hard thing to do. Also not all mods will work. Well personally I think Skyrim looks fine if you pop on an ENB and some good graphics mods. However the gameplay is still trash for me
The Special Edition is also free if you have the DLC, which at this point, if you don't, what the fuck are you doing. (Not you, just in general)

(Not you, just in general)
Well, I never felt the need to get Heathfire because very few mods actually needed it and there were plenty of player home mods that were far superior to whatever it was offering.
i thought it was jsut better graphics
It's also on an improved engine / Fallout 4's engine which brings 64-bit support and deferred rendering, which means more performance and better shadowing. It could also be literally FO4's engine which means ENB still works for it.

It's basically going to be a complete restart modding wise, like the Fallout 4 Script Extender, the Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender will have to be built from the ground up, any mod using the SKSE will basically either completely break, not work at all or will eventually have to be redone without the SKSE's help, pretty much neutering the mod and it'll take a long time for the SSKSE to get to original Skyrim Script Extender levels of good. So if any of you are planning on playing a highly modded Skyrim, sticking with the original is probably best, at least for a while.
Well, I never felt the need to get Heathfire because very few mods actually needed it and there were plenty of player home mods that were far superior to whatever it was offering.
At the time it was a massive improvement over the previous "Build your own House" mods, though yeah after years of modding after it's release it's been pretty much outclassed by everything else.

Does it means that someone could recreate the settlement system from fallout 4 and port it to skyrim?

All I've heard (without doing any research, mind you) is that it'll be a x64 bit version, which will be helpful to modders, very much so.

I'm almost finishing my mod, guys (Beta release, that is). So far, this is current number of lines: For comparison, Piper has 1447 voice assets and 1278 lines of dialogue. Bonus pic, Hatred dialogue: 'It just works.'
Is her name Not Important?
:v: Unfortunately, having a voiced protagonist kills any chance of saying her name, reverse of that happened with Skyrim, since you can write your name and noone will actually try to say it.

I'm getting real tired of the toxicity here. This thread ends up in reports way too frequently. If you can't discuss Fallout games without shit posting ad verbatim, then you won't be posting anymore period. Some of you were very close to getting banned, but I let it go this time. Next time I see this shit, the bans will be longer. Don't hesitate reporting them.
I've been porting my enclave radio freedom mod to consoles, and I have to completely redo it since console mods require plugin functionality afaik, so I was testing it in game after changing 1 song in the editor. I'm listening to radio freedom for about 20 minutes and I'm hearing nothing but classical. I'm ready to quit and go back to square one, and then America the Beautiful starts playing. Literal music to my ears.
So i dont know if anyone else is still following our favorite modelling pal but he's really getting into adding all of these variations of the Ranger armor and I absolutely love it :v: [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cl2CCwoVEAAV6d1.jpg:large[/t][t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cl3r7AaUgAAoIyh.jpg:large[/t]
Honestly I'm really glad that Bethesda is listening and changing stuff to better accommodate the players with each DLC. The DLC for fallout 3 and to an extent Skyrim felt like they didn't really care for what feedback the players had to give and they just released whatever they wanted at the time. Now it feels like each DLC serves that purpose and also fixes stuff that people may not have liked in the vanilla experience. It's not fixing everything but it's great nonetheless.

But as beacon said the settlement packs feel exactly like random stuff that nobody really asked for getting released for the sake of it. I'm waiting to see how Nuka-world turns out, I remember there was a whole lot of talk about how great a raider faction would have been as a foil for the minutemen a while back, If nuka-world is their answer to that stuff then i'm going to be incredibly impressed.
Didn't Todd Howard say that the settlement stuff (and maybe Automatron) came out of a Game Jam they did? I can't remember where or when he said it, but I'm sure I remember reading it at some point. Probably in one of this year's E3 interviews with him. If that is the case, then I guess it sort of explains the random nature of the Wasteland/Contraptions DLC. They would just be various things that the team made in the Game Jam and then expanded upon for the DLC. I'm guessing they thought that the robot crafting had enough scope to be a whole DLC itself, and the whole idea of building a vault is obviously a focused enough idea to have a DLC itself too. I think that would probably explain why Far Harbor feels like Bethesda listened, and hopefully that trend will continue with Nuka-World, and maybe somewhat with the vault DLC.

The amount of non-human-occupied, desolate vaults in vanilla was disappointing. Would like to see something similar to Vault 87 or 106 again.
I was super disappointed by the amount of Vaults in vanilla, especially derelict Vaults.
