Is it me or do all mod created weapons look like shit in Fallout 4's engine? They all look overly shiny and the textures are usually blurry. Not to mention the default weapon fov makes most of them way too large.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3294/?
I'm looking through the updated scripts and it seems that in 1.6 they made Jun and Marcy Long killable. Happy days!
Now to figure out how to off them without riling up all of Sanctuary (I've got them pretty well armed in my install, so doing so would either end with my razing of the settlement or a quick death by a hail of bullets/lasers/plasma bolts/nades.) :v: In all seriousness, Jun Long's not too much of an annoying NPC from my perspective, though Marcy comes across as a total prick despite their backstory. I'd love a small settlement mod that would let you selectively exile certain NPCs from your settlements, or with really high speech check, have them run out of town by the other settlers. It'd be a neat ability to have, if just for the interesting situations that could arise.
lol Someone de-boobed the Assaultron. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16087/?
seems redundant considering the hydraulic parts make the assaultron look masculine, alteast with the legs.
Wow so, Nuka World is the last DLC for F4.....this is disappointing
I am mixed about this. It really sucks that the people that bought and expected a 50 dollar season pass to be fulfilling don't get what they want, but I sort of didn't want to see BethesdaGS stick with Fallout 4 because it really isn't their strong suit of a game. Especially how FO4 makes FO3 look like one of the best RPGs of all time. DLC for BGS games can be sort of bad when it comes to having all of the mod community's mods be available for everyone. i know as plenty of mods for skyrim weren't available to be because I didn't own the DLC until later. And keeping up with DLC and DLC-less versions of mods as a mod author can be a hassle. And I'm already against DLC if it isn't something like an expansion pack sized (basically Far Harbor sized) or game changing. Like all this workshop DLC, and maybe Automatron, could have been put in an expansion-like bundle (maybe like a different season pass for miscellaneous DLC?), where you basically get a bundle of new features (more workshop items like cages and robot customization) with mini-story quests to go with them and explain their addition (Automatron quest for robots, etc. for the newer workshop and vault additions)
So Japanese modders are deboobing stuff and making neat securitrons and stuff while western modders are making enchanted buttplugs and unrealistic living sexdolls. What is this, bizarro world?
The tables have turned.
You can now track you companions in the vault DLC http://i.imgur.com/mZdWwmL.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TNjdtpY.jpg
What are the best settlement locations for factory building? [editline]6th July 2016[/editline] Basically my current character is an ex-raider who got kicked out of Diamond City who has dreams of becoming a factory owner like they were in the 1800s so I need some good spots.
There surely must be a better way to make custom models than this BS procedure? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7957/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D7957&pUp=1

It's big and fairly flat. It's a good building location in general really.

Skyrim's first DLC, Dawnguard, came out August 2, 2012, almost a year after Skyrim's release. It's last DLC came out on Feb 3, 2013. So roughly a year and a half of DLC. Bear in mind it was only 3 DLC. Fallout 4's final DLC, Nuka World, comes out in August this year, a almost a year after Fallout 4 came out. NW is FO4's 6th DLC. So I don't know if that's a testament to how fast BethesdaGS has made the DLC for Fallout 4 in comparison to Skyrim, or a show on how fast BGS is getting away from FO4. :v:

For some reason, the vault 111 lift is invisible when I'm using my interior lighting mod. It functions and casts shadows as if it was there, but it's just invisible. I don't recall this being an issue before the latest patch, but it renders just fine if I disable the mod.

Marcy's life is only spared as long as she remains useful to me, and at the moment automatically assigning herself to farm work is pretty useful
Starlight Drive-In is good. It's big and fairly flat. It's a good building location in general really.
Only issue with it is the radioactive death pit. Also, some dude posted these images of an unused model on the Nexus imageshare. Kinda neat.
Only issue with it is the radioactive death pit.
Scrap the barrels, all the radiation magically disappears.
Scrap the barrels, all the radiation magically disappears.
This. It helps quite a bit if you're trying to set up water purifiers there too.
Yeah, I had been thinking Starlight. Right now I'm situated in Hangman's Alley since it's near where I started (alternate start mod) but its more just a base I've been using for scavenging.
That would be the point of the quest, they would then be nice to you, they would grow as characters, instead of being stuck in a consistent downturn of bitching.
DID YOU HEAR THE ENCLAVE ATTACKED PROJECT PURITY THEY'VE TAKEN OVER THE MEMORIAL
That would be the point of the quest, they would then be nice to you, they would grow as characters, instead of being stuck in a consistent downturn of bitching.
I'd rather just shoot Marcy in the face Nazeem-style. I don't know why Bethesda has such a hard-on for making essential characters the most annoying fucks in their games. From Marcy to Sheng to all the individual generic children with all the same face in Skyrim [editline]a[/editline] Jun on the other hand isn't a total dick and I just feel bad for him. [editline]a[/editline] Though all of this is totally irrelevant to me because as soon as I loot shit from Sanctuary I walk into Concord, shoot the bandits outside, loot their shit, climb to the top of the church, hop across the vertibird to loot the shit up at the top of the building (and Power Armor/Minigun if I'm doing a run involving them), then I totally ignore Pretzel Gravity and his band of upset dickholes. Never even enter the building.

i can confirm i blew Jun's brains out
Can anyone quickly coc to Vault111Cryo and see if their elevator is invisible and let me know? I need to know if it's just me or not.
Can anyone quickly coc to Vault111Cryo and see if their elevator is invisible and let me know? I need to know if it's just me or not.
Not for me, but I did do this on an existing save, not sure if that makes a difference
Can anyone quickly coc to Vault111Cryo and see if their elevator is invisible and let me know? I need to know if it's just me or not.
If nobody else gets back to you before I get home I can check.
Wait... are you sure the elevator is missing and that it is not just at the top of the shaft?
Wait... are you sure the elevator is missing and that it is not just at the top of the shaft?
Yeah. The gates that open are gone, yet I see shadows being cast. I can disable it and go through the floor, then reenable it and stand on solid air. I have a video uploading, should be done in 30 min

This is a good video tutorial that kind of condenses that down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppTXCJ0SZ88 I used the Max 13 tools to get my base NIF to copy from instead of using bodyslide as an intermediary, but everything from the nifscope part on was more or less 1:1
I've been looking to try and give the game a more cartoony feel just for fun by changing all the textures This was my first quick and dirty attempt, most of it looks like ass but some of it I thought was a neat enough effect to show Probably going to try something different next, even if I tweaked it to look better you can barely see the difference at a distance, it's all a jumbled mess of washed up textures and black spots

You don't need to worry about performance when you are taking screenshots to show off your mod.
