So what the 'independence faction' still lives? It's just you, some A.I. that only serves you and a lot of robots. It's basically perfect, just what I wanted in FO4. In New Vegas, other factions can be sort of interesting but not really in FO4.
Apologies if this has been posted already. This looks pretty cool http://resurrection.cz/en/
How is the Minutemen ending not siding with yourself? It's a faction that just like independence in NV is entirely controlled by you, you're also free to leave and never interact with them again after the ending, which is arguably more independent (for the protagonist) than the NV independence ending because you're not responsible for an entire city state and a robot army.
Because the minutemen is an actual faction, which, despite the game pretending to give you control over, you have little to no actual control over. Independence in New Vegas is not a faction, it's literally you and a robot that agrees with everything you say. You decide what you do.
Though doesn't Yes Man state he's going to modify himself so he can say no to people?
People other than you. It's a safety mechanism so no one can come and hijack your operation like you yourself did to [sp]Benny's[/sp].
The sniper rifle mod that someone here made (I forget your username, sorry) finally ousted the awful fucking lacy bra CBBE mod on the front page of the nexus.
What's the second town in Fallout 4? Who's the second merc group for that matter?
Goodneighbor was the second town, the gunners were the heartless contract killers like talon mercs were in 3, minutemen were the mercenary-slash-lawmen, like the regulators. With Yes-man he is just your interface, he gives you suggestions and you decide what to do, you are the controller, it's your show and yours alone. With the minutemen it's preston's show, he directs you, tells you what you are doing and when you are doing it- he is in charge even if he calls you "general" all the time. Plus Yes-man leaves the motivation totally up to you, with the minutemen the faction has a set agenda and stated goals and you just jump on board with it instead of steering it's course.

Can I hop in?
Is that just a general hangout for Facepunchers? Can I hop in?
It was meant for the modeling section, but nobody ever uses it unless it gets reposted. That and nobody ever added it to the OP for the WIP threads.

I do post in the modelling thread sometimes, I've just never seen a hangout posted

I just joined one day when there were other artists working on stuff, and had it bookmarked ever since.
In a way, I guess it's good that there's no clear 'best choice'.
But it's bad that there's no good choices, either. [editline]a[/editline] I eagerly await the eventual mod audio-stitched together that Broken Steels the storyline by allowing you to Yes Man the game by building a robot army with Automatron resources and kicking the shit out of every other faction.

Interesting bit I read on 4chan (it's a bit conspiracy theory-ish) Bethesda used Skyrim's Civil War questline as an experiment to gather data on what their playerbase is like. By hiding it in the storyline that the Stormcloak Rebellion was a Thalmor plot and that Ulfric isn't as noble as he seems, Bethesda can gauge how inquisitive their playerbase is. More inquisitive and story-driven players will pick the Imperial side in the civil war because the story-minded player will read into the lore and see that the Imperials are the more "moral" choice. Those who choose the Stormcloaks care less about the story and chose them because they're the "cool" and "rebellious" faction. Bethesda saw that most of their players chose Stormcloaks so they knew they could get away with shitty writing in their next game, Fallout 4, because they saw majority of their playerbase didn't care much for a great story.
Sounds like 4chan's typical anti fallout 4 bandwagoning to me.
I chose stormcloaks because they didn't try to cut my head off at the start. Lore-wise, Imperials are still the best moral choice. Ulfric even apologizes and realizes he was wrong when you meet him in Sovngarde at the end of the main story if you killed him during the Civil War. But Bethesda shoves you right into a situation where the imperials look like the bad guy. Can't blame first timers for that choice, really. Still leads up to shitty writing and pushing players into half forced decisions.

"Guys, I don't really think we need to try so hard here." While it's a funny thought It's kinda far-fetched. I still feel fallout 4's bad writing comes down to Bethesda not being amazing at writing lore for fallout, an existing IP they didn't create, and when it came down to them making another fallout game, they settled for just trying to duplicate what they did with fallout 3, Adding the faction stuff people enjoyed so much in skyrim and new vegas because fans liked it, and not being forced into a single faction is an objective improvement on what they did with fallout 3. I usually escape with the stormcloak dude so I can kill the twat who tried to execute me and take her helmet, then join the empire later on.
The first time I played Skyrim, I sided with the imperials because my toon is a imperial himself and imagined myself getting caught in a big misunderstanding. [sp]Said imperial is a descendant of the Septim bloodline.[/sp]
I don't get the appeal of survival mode or new vegas's hardcore mode. Just seems to me like it adds a bunch of things that make the game more tedious and unfun. Am I missing out?
So I was playing FO4 in my primary monitor while the Summer Games Done Quick stream was open in my secondary monitor. They had just finished the Elder Scrolls anthology runs and I walked up on a Power Armor in a cage. It got me thinking, "I wonder if I can grab that through the wall somehow." Turns out, yep. [vid]https://a.pomf.cat/uatmdq.webm[/vid]
is it just me or is that power armor child sized
Well, started a new file and made two characters. Not sure who to play. Any suggestions?
