Everybody seems to like Piper but I don't like her so far. It feels like she's fear mongering about synths to make people paranoid to make more paper sales. Basically the wasteland version of Gawker.
Then again I'm still really new to the game so.
Is it fear mongering if you're (mostly, anyways) right?
I think she is intended to be a bit of a grey area but they didn't give enough evidence for her being a sensationalist instead of just blunt.

I was wondering why Sanctuary had become so laggy.
Don't get careless with the Contraptions workshop, kids! :v:
now you need to craft the ammo to go with them

Actually, if you look a bit to the right, you can see some of the EC mixed in there.

Cait is better than Piper, if for no other reason than she's underrated.

I'm not into dudes and even I want to fuck Nick.
The Thematic and Practical mod looks like it could be interesting to anyone interested in making settlements. Instead of just adding vanilla items to the workshop menu, the guy behind the mod has taken parts of the meshes and put them together to make new items.
Currently, the only theme is the Scavenger theme, so the items are largely just made out of planks of wood and pieces of objects you find around the world, but it would definitely be interesting to see what other themes get added. The Scavenger theme definitely works better than the vanilla objects if you want furniture that looks like it was made after the war, though.
wow, that's actually awesome
shame it's going to destroy FPS because of the amount of different texture drawcalls it's going to use :/

I just can't get over her terrible fake accent. She must have taken lessons from Moriarty.
I've built a slaughter house to butcher captured raiders and turn them into soylent green

Don't know if this has been brought up before, but it seems like the classical radio station in the game is supposed to be being broadcast by the Institute - all the music files in the CK are labelled as Institute radio.
Yeah, It's actually explained as [sp] part of the main quest, the radio station is a cover for the institute's relay signal. When you blow up the institute the signal stops.[/sp]

Well in 200 years post-apocalypse america it's realistic that it is shitty considering most people who used it died hundreds of years ago accross the ocean.
That said she calls herself an "irish girl", how does she know what that is and how that would sound?
Vadim and Yefim are also annoying since they are the only ones with russian names and accents, bethesda doesn't seem to understand the concept of time and changes it brings.

Nice.
Same thing happened with me with the Mauser mod.
Same thing happened with me with the Mauser mod.
Not the Mauser mod, its the Modular Simonov PTRS-41 Anti-Tank Rifle, this is actually one of the weapons in it.
Old School Can Opener, whacking people with a Anti-Material Rifle with a knife on the end of it. :v:

To be fair we have no idea how the rest of the world fared during the atomic war, Ireland could be an oasis that the bombs missed. If anything that's my problem with the way Bethesda handles character's who aren't from america, they don't talk about it, It's a missed opportunity to expand the world.
When you bump into a guy from Ireland or England, you should have the option to ask exactly how they ended up in post war america, were they descended from vault dwelling immigrants whose accent's were preserved in the tight confines of the vaults? Did they recently travel from overseas?. if so, how bad a state must their homeland be in for them to consider risking travelling to america? Even if they give you a cryptic or vague answer, it would still make the world feel larger.
Again, Raul the ghoul is an example of how to do something really well. he's not american and although his story is very centred around events in his life, it explains his presence in the Mojave and gives you a glimpse into state the rest of the world is in.
Anyone else sometimes get this thing where if you loot a headless corpse, the head will quickly flash back onto the body as if the corpse wasn't decapitated and then go right back to normal decapitation like it was updating or something?
Not sure if it's the main game or one of my mods doing it.
[editline]edit[/editline]
As an example I quickly got some footage of it, it's close to the end.

Base game, I think it's been a thing since FO3 honestly, at least I remember looting head gear from enemies and their head would flash on and off again for that brief half a second. It happened in FO4 and I just laughed honestly :v:
And lol I can't see what you're talking about at all in that video.

Hm yeah, now that I think about it I do remember it happening in previous games, it just was hardly noticeable and it only seems to happen to certain corpses in Fallout 4.
Must just be an engine quirk.
And lol I can't see what you're talking about at all in that video.
Yeah it weirdly doesn't show up in the video, you can BARELY see it at the end with the gunner conscript, while it's entirely obvious in game, it's probably the quality/compression.
So I installed that anti-material rifle mod.

fam please.
put this in the fallout4 ini in your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
sStartingConsoleCommand=cl off
if you already have stuff in that command line, separate them with a ;, like this:
sStartingConsoleCommand=fov 85 100;cl off
This code makes NPCs look way better.
