Fallout 1 had T-51, Fallout 2 had Advanced (now known as X-01), 3 had T-45, Advanced Mk II, Hellfire, and 4 has T-60.
Now we need more post war armor because that makes sense.
I mean the BOS made a giant fucking airship that has a nuclear reactor and flies around the East Coast. The ability to manufacture a custom variant of power armor, especially if lore wise they captured Enclave scientists or technical data they should be more than able to actually make their own armors.

i'm confused if this is intended to be a joke or not
I launched FO shelter after MONTHs and, somehow, the update unfucked my save.
Can someone explain to me why the 'older' Power armor introduced in the Bethesda games... looks more like the t-60 than the 'newer' t-51? Like that feels like they didn't even think when they were designing it, it's so out of place. That's especially weird since they, in the same game as it was introduced, ALSO had the classic model.
Everyone else said stuff, but I think the idea is that the T-45 was the original, kinda wonky prototype, the T-51 is where they hit pay dirt and really pumped out the suits to take out the chinese, and the T-60 is kind of a back-to-the-drawing-board approach to upgrading T-45 which only hit the assembly lines right before the apocalypse kicked off.
Things are getting kinda strained though. Either the next game the new big bad has to show up with their own new brand of power armor, or they'll have to have the Midwestern BOS stop by with devil horns and capes power armor. I'm willing to bet it has less versions of power armor though, dropping either the T-45 or T-60 or kind of combining them somehow.
[sp]I can only build one vault? Shit, I hope it's a $5 dlc. [/sp]
it is $5
So you could build a vault on land if you wanted to.
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a Vault though? All that means is This Vault DLC is just another Workshop DLC but with a quest involved in order to give it more than just "have some stuff now go build you minecraft loving nerds".
Huh, Nuka World is cheaper then Far Harbour. The price is on steam
less content then?
it is $5
i just remembered i have the season pass so it doesn't even matter.
I just got a second Harkness from a lunchbox

I bet the institute did this.
Look at him, that smug all-knowing smile, you can just tell he's planning to overthrow the original Harkness

If it actually has less, then i'll be thoroughly disappointed with bethesda. With the amount of total quality content this far including all currently released DLCs, this game falls short to a 60 dollar price tag.

They didn't have to do so much content for it, since they created the amazing workshop dlcs to even it out!
I'm playing New Vegas. I just recently bought the DLC.
All of them activated on my main character (level 40, using a mod to play after the battle of the Dam), but Dead Money never starts. It starts on one of my other characters, but not my main. As a result, the bunker is locked.
Is there anyway I can cheat to activate the quest? I've tried typing
resetquest 14005229
(14 being the number next to Dead Money in FOMM)
but it yields no results. Cheating my way into the bunker doesn't work, because the gas never triggers, as I don't have the quest.
The quest does, however, appear on my level 25 character, but I want to play it on my main. What should I do?
It was called HavokContentTools. The standalone tool can only open the animation files, but not anything else. I can't say if the files that would be created from maya would be in a F4 readable format, but as far as just opening the character project goes, that doesn't work out of the box.
*img*
The files in the animation folder can be read, but any other file crashes the program, this is what the animation files look like - assuming this tool can read them properly.

IIRC Fallout 4 uses a more recent format which the tool will not be able to produce properly unfortunately.

That one mod that makes people's faces freak the fuck out, how did they make that without animation anyway?

I hate to bump my post, but I'm really at a loss. I can't seem to do anything to make it appear on my main character.
I'd like to play the DLC in release order, but this is holding me back.
I don't know if this will help, but can you show your load order? Dead Money should be the first ESM after the base game ESM, and then all the DLCs after that in release order. From the number you said is next to it, your Dead Money ESM is in the wrong place.
That one mod that makes people's faces freak the fuck out, how did they make that without animation anyway?
I think Bethesda mostly uses face morphs for facial animations, which basically just tells the game to move parts of the head mesh around in certain ways certain distances. I imagine the mod probably just multiplies those distances, so all the animations end up being super exaggerated and broken looking.
Man, Fallout Shelter and the new settlement building really makes me want an isometric town building Fallout spinoff using the original 1 and 2 art style.
It'll never happen, but it'd be so cool.

You know, I suggested such a thing as a sequel to Shelter a few threads back.

Build your own NCR style faction from the ground up! yeah a spinoff like that would be pretty neat.
i hope I don't actually have to do the quest to unlock the rest of the underground area cause I want to make something like the underground shanty towns from Metro 2033
I honestly really hope Nuka world is as good as Far Harbour.
Here be Spoilers
[sp] The vault tec dlc was.. not great. Building the vault and its piece make for a nice change. However the vault tec evil experiments apspect was constraining to the extreme and was just plain laughable, and clearly something someone made in about 10 minutes.
Tl:dr
So yes you can build 1 vault. And use all the piece where ever
you get 3 "experiments" which have no actual effect outside of the quest (could just be a beta bug tho)
Fuckhuge massive buildarea, except your starting settlement pool starts at 50%
And that's literally it.
No fallout shelter esc make new vault dwellers or the like. No new settlers show up unless you build a standard beacon. (Vault has its own but it works for 1 quest)
No attacks on vault 88, above ground vaults did tho. Vault door OP
