I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction on adding voice files to an actor my wife is really big into FO4 I have already recreated myself as a companion in the game for her but I would really love to add voice to the dialogue options
Do other robot voice options have personality subroutine options? I noticed when applying subroutine to the assaultron voice they just blank my request, likewise ignore me when I ask for self destruct. I haven't heard them offering much in the way of dialogue - just standard yes or no responses when spoken to. I can't remember if this was intentional (because bethesda could only be arsed to record Ada voicelines) or I'm encountering a bug; anyone got the same issue? I downloaded that dogmeat + companion mod too, it's great but I also like to have a robot companion with me. Is there a mod that allows me to take three companions around at once?

I only really like the sentry and the assualtron voices for robots. I use the others for the sake of variety, but Wish we had a few more reverb-heavy robocop style voices. Maybe someone could mod in the gutsy, handy, nanny, robobrain, protectron and maybe even the new vegas securitron voices if they can find enough lines that work in context with all the follower dialogue. Bonus points if they sneak F.I.S.T.O lines in with the protectron voice. [entering combat] "ASSUME THE POSITION" [upon defeating an enemy] "Numbness will subside in time"
Today I learned that there is such a thing as a Bostonian accent. Does any character in the game have it? If not, why? Is it that bad?
Today I learned that there is such a thing as a Bostonian accent. Does any character in the game have it? If not, why? Is it that bad?
Every Diamond City guard has a really, really heavy Boston accent. The majority of characters do, really. edit: the guard line "Park the car in the yard? How about I hammer you in the heart with a haymaker?" is a joke about Bostonian accents, fyi
Go listen to John F. Kennedy, that Bostonian accent.
Just loaded up a really old New Vegas save that had completed all the DLCs and only had to talk to Colonel Moore to get the Battle of Hoover Dam rolling. Did a quick tour of the Mojave wasteland, talking to old friends, tried out some Gun Runner's Arsenal weapons (by the time GRA came out, I was pretty much done with New Vegas and I haven't successfully gotten into it since, really) and by that I mostly mean the Bozar. Missed having a sprint button, but good times. Decided to go blow through the Hoover Dam battle, and damn that dam is a fucking maze, if only because there are two quest markers, you can't tell them apart, and you can't tell what level in the multilevel map each is at. Got it eventually though, and headed to slowdown city as every faction in the game showed up for battle at the same time. Finished the game, though, and that great slideshow plays, with epilogues for factions, companions, and even some of the most minor of elements like the Misfits and the Vault 15 Powdergangers. And I'm watching this, smiling at the results of my actions, when I remember the ending of Fallout 4. Bethesda, you suck.

Well, at least they fixed the quest markers.
I found this Elite Riot Gear mod for Fallout 4 on a Japanese website through Google, is it the same as Dogtooth's mod or just a direct port of the New Vegas armour?

Almost there! Got to fix some things with how much the weapon mods cost to make and what they'll do. I'm excited to release my first FO4 mod. :D Anyhow, here have a render of the parts I've made for the weapon. [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/478884-1468971729.jpg[/t]

Unless it's been updated, I don't recommend it. It's glitchy and looks really bad in game.

Looks like shit in game, tho. Because of the stupid amount of glossiness
Seems like Eliamoron's faction housing mod has the most votes in the NVidia competition, like, why? All she did was place shit everywhere and it gets top vote?
Seems like Eliamoron's faction housing mod has the most votes in the NVidia competition, like, why? Still wouldve been nice if someone who put real effort like Lt_C would get the nod, though.

No, but it's not just her placing shit everywhere.
Is anyone who's familiar with texture work interested in taking a look at the [Far Harbor endgame reward] [sp]Rescue Diver's Suit?[/sp] I think it could do with some polishing, maybe a more deep bronze color, kind of like the color of the metal on the Bioshock-inspired power armor mod. Or, can anyone throw me a couple pointers? i've got photoshop, i could probably do it if i just plan on changing the hue
Is there any armor like the stealth suit for dead money? The closest you can get is the combat armor on a brotherhood outfit but I wonder if anyone made something similar
[sp]Rescue Diver's Suit?[/sp]
[sp]I think it should have been like custom power armor pieces or something, so it could actually be used to walk underwater.[/sp]
There's this new mod on the nexus that adds working baths, sinks and toilets that both you and your settlers can use. It's really well done and for some reason I really like the idea, but the constant peeing and flushing noises from everyone (well, mostly Cait for some reason) obsessing over the toilet can get a little annoying. Can't beat a decent smoke after a long day of base building, have to say the idle hands mod is neat will also play animations like the one below in dialogue
I prefer to make my junk bases look like actual trash, in the terms of making sure I'm not spamming duplicate texture walls. Norespawns is a great settlement builder, I recommend anyone wanting to build immersive stuff to check him out: https://www.youtube.com/user/norespawns1/videos He also does tips and tricks for glitching in base building, useful as he's a console user.

I've picked up so many tricks and ideas from him. I'm halfway towards building a giant wall around Sanctuary inspired by his (it's a lot of materials and time to build this damn thing!)

At least I don't recall getting it.
[sp]I think it should have been like custom power armor pieces or something, so it could actually be used to walk underwater.[/sp]
[sp]I was so excited. I thought it might have been a hybrid of normal armor and the functionality of power armor, equipped like normal armor with no strength bonus, but slowing you down, letting you walk underwater, and giving you an air supply.[/sp] How difficult would that be to mod? I know power armor frames are considered furniture in the CK, as they're static objects you interact with that play an animation, and then once you're inside it, it becomes like a race, right? Could it be a a scripted inventory item where: 1. you drop it from your inventory in order to deploy it like furniture, similar to the mods with deployable sleeping bags or turrets, 2. it then functions like a power armor frame, perhaps being scripted as the frame furniture object, but with the custom model of the armor, 3. that then puts you in the power armor race with the armor mesh? I can see some obvious hurdles here, of course. 1 sounds plausible, 2 i have no idea about, but 3 sounds like a tough one, because i've seen clips of actors without power armor using power armor animations and it looks wack, and the armor in question is proportioned for the regular body mesh... [editline]20th July 2016[/editline]
Damn, I just realized I never got that. Where do you get it? At least I don't recall getting it.
After completing the first wave of quests to help the people of Far Harbor, you have to start the second wave of quests, for Small Bertha (Turn Back the Fog), Mitch (The Hold Out), and (perhaps optionally?) the Mariner (The Great Hunt), then talk to Captain Avery.
Wow, so that's really how Power Armor works? Some may call it hacky, but sometimes I love how wonky games are under the hood and how develops have to really kludge and fake features some times. So, hypothetically, what's stopping Super Mutants from wearing power armor? I'm asking not because I'm secretly actually OrionPax (I'm really not) and want to make Immersive Super Mutants, I'm actually thinking of a monstrosity more along the lines of Frank Horrigan.
